Kayak Estimated cost at ~$75, paid $121.93 for the rental. Associate at pickup was entirely inept at his job and should be blacklisted from any direct contact service job, wasted 15+ minutes inputting data into his system, ended up having to do it twice(cc,id). The associate then had to have another employee finish with their own client and then come help me get the rental ready. When returning Filled car completely with proper gasoline and dropped off at airport. Charged a separate $104.93 after the fact for unknown reasons. It could possibly have been from the extra time my rental associate had to input my info. I was told at the time, that the extra rental had been removed.

Pros: Budget offered the best rate for a minivan in Sacramento. Staff was friendly. Cons: We waited in line for an hour to rent the vehicle which had approximately 70,000 miles on it and needed service.

Very long line at the counter, didn’t have car in class I rented (luxury), requested I wait 1/2 hour for a car, finally came up with a convertible which had very little trunk space and was not a comfortable ride at all.

Extremely long wait time - one hour long. However nice, friendly and efficient. The wait time was long because budget and Avis are the only rental car service in the Sacramento Airport. Hertz, Enterprise and two other car rental services closed down.

Car was great. Staff was helpful and nice. The policy regarding renting with a debit card is insane and extremely inconvenient. They required us to use a credit card instead of a debit card because we didn’t have a flight landing in sacramento. We live in sacramento so that’s not reasonable. We simply wanted to rent a car from sacramento, drive it to Vegas and then fly from Vegas. The policy is not reasonable and needs revision.

The car smelled of recently cleaned cigarette smoke, which was unfortunate. It dissipated by the end of the weekend. Customer service was excellent, particularly at the counter when we arrived. Dropping the car off was a breeze and getting back to the airport was effortless.

Either hertz or Priceline canceled our reservation (they point the finger at each other). To find another rental cost us 3.5x the price. Hertz still charged our credit card!

If you have any problems you have to contact hertz, which good luck to start. Hertz won't answer the phone, and second, if you do contact someone they charge you to speak with them. Absolute joke. Don't book with hertz.

The staff was friendly and the car was very clean and up-to-date.We had to change our flights due to a snowstorm, and were hoping to pick up our car a day early. Hertz wanted to charge us $200 just for that extra day, which was absurd. I also felt like the woman who checked us in was trying way too hard to up-sell us, and she actually did successfully up-sell us on insurance, which I didn't realize until we'd returned the car.

This place would not let me pick up the car. I didn’t have a credit card on me just debit cards and a credit card in my apple wallet but of course the equipment is too old and they can’t take apple wallet cards. I was stranded! Luckily Hertz let me rent withe a deposit, of course it was double the price to rent a car on the day of but what could I do. Avis policy and equipment caused a horrible experience and I will never use them again

The rental car we requested was not available, so the Avis in Sacramento gave us a different model. After a few hours of driving, the oil light came on. We stopped and discovered that the dip stick had not been secured and the engine had been spewed all over the engine. We then went to a roadside mechanic who informed us the engine was almost completely out of oil. This occured directly before we were driving down the Pacific Coast Highway around Big Sur, California. If the engine light had alerted us 20 minutes later that the engine was almost out of oil, we wouldve been stranded along the coast without cell service in an extremely remote location. Completely unacceptable.

Staff, vehicleAt Sacramento airport, they did not honor the amount I had with online reservation. I have $11.00 something on insurance and they sid they have their own insurance at $ 17.00 so I have to get their higher insurance.

I mistakenly reserved a car in SAC rather than SAL. The Avis lady was very nice in SAL giving me a new rental at a reasonable price and cancelling my SAC reservation. But Kayak nevertheless charged me a $50 fee for not cancelling the SAC reservation. When I called Avis they said they could not do anything about it because it was a Kayak charge. I don’t know how to contact Kayak other than this.

Staff was very friendly picking up at Sacramento Intl Airport, not so much at the dropoff in PhoenixCar had an odor to it like someone had smoked a pipe or cigar in it.

I had a reservation but when I arrived at the counter it took 40 minutes to get to a counter attenant, they took 10 minutes to get my paper work, then I had to wait 20 more minutes for the car - more than 1 hour to get a car - UNACCEPTABLE.

We could have been better informed about the hours. Everything we received said that the location was open until 5 PM. When we got there at 4:30 we learned through a sign on the door that they closed at 4. Lost our money on buying the insurance and had to spend twice as much to get another car that we could pick up at the airport.

Would not give me the carMy review is for Enterprise, NOT KAYAK. Kayak is great.However, when I showed up to get the car, which I needed for a job interview near where I'm moving, my reservation was acknowledged and I was told "we don't have enough cars to fill the reservations." I left without the car and had to miss my interview. When I called corporate, they contacted the store I went to and were told that, actually, no one has come into the store and they don't remember having a conversation me. Their system showed that there were cars and that I had one reserved. But they continued to deny that I had even been in there. Very ridiculous, unprofessional, and I was not given any resolution.

In general I am very unhappy with the service, and do no intend to rent a car at enterprise again. The credit card device wasn't working properly, I've mentioned several times that my credit card was ok, but the attendant was very rude, and gave me the impression that I was lying about it. At the end we use another credit card device and worked.

Pick up and drop off was very quick, I was in and out in less than 15 min both times. I paid $180 total for a week long rental of an economy car, which I thought was a very good value.Economy car is economy. No remote door locks, very tiny car, lots of road noise, but what do you expect when renting this cheaply? On the plus side I ended up with a car that had XM radio. Usually this would cost an extra $6 per day, but I didn't ask for it so I didn't pay for it.
