Cons: Check-in was a disaster. Agent failed to notify me that she was switching me from an intermediate car to a pickup truck. Went all the way into the parking lot to discover the change. Upon return to the counter, she said it was an "upgrade"! Unbelievable. She said no one had ever complained about being "upgraded" from a car to a pickup truck. No answer for why she didn't tell me at check-in. Central car rental facility is a hike from the terminal.

Cons: The vehicle insurance policy purchased by us online thru Kayak was not accepted by Payless the service provider. Payless wanted us to purchase a separate insurance policy which cost us another USD 30++..

Horrible. Don't use this company
Pros: Nothing. We never did get a car
Cons: When we arrived at the rental counter there were 10 people in line who had already been waiting an hour. In the time we were in line nobody actually got a car. There was only 1 person working the counter. We ended up renting a car from Hertz at the next counter. Lucky for us they decided to rent to walk ups though it cost twice as much. We only had a short time in New Orleans. It was almost ruined because of Payless

Did not have the vehicle I reserved.
Pros: Easy drop off for return.
Cons: I was supposed to have a Ford Explorer and was given a Mazda CX5 that I had to clean the windshield in before I could drive it and the outside of the vehicle was dirty too. I f I knew I was getting an import, I could have went to enterprise and been cheaper. Will not rent form them again.

Pros: The car was clean and in great condition. Drop off was quick and easy.
Cons: The rep tried to sell me an upgrade which was totally acceptable. But she got into an argument with my boyfriend about the insurance (on an item with which she was incorrect) - totally unacceptable

Cons: THE WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!
The rep argued with me about car I reserved, even after I showed confirmation email. He said I reserved a Ford Edge (class). My confirmation showed. Ford Explorer (class). Then he proceeded to say he would have to get approval from a manager to give the class car I reserved. He laughed as I walked to the Hertz counter and rented from them instead.
I'm sure this is just a scam of a company.

Nobody even at the counter!
Cons: I reserved a car online for November 21st-November 28th back in September. We went to the counter for Payless, an hour and a half before close, and NO ONE WAS AT THE COUNTER! Please keep in mind that I knew my flight didn't land until 10PM. We waited for 45 minutes before having to resort to another car rental agency. Thank God I didn't pay ahead of time! Will NEVER go through Payless again!

Won't rent from them again
Pros: We wanted an economy because we didn't have baggage and wanted an easy car to park.
Cons: 1. Huge blind spot with this car.
2. Agent at check in seemed "put out" because we declined all additional coverage.
3. Had to visit counter to return the car.
4. Incorrectly charged for "roadside service protection". See #2.
Glad I asked for a printed receipt instead of an emailed receipt. Otherwise might not have caught the incorrect charge.

Pros: My greetings to you. Overall u could have given me a slightly bigger car for the money i paid.The car was very nice and clean. I forgot to bring my AARP CARD and your customer service guy would not help me ,i though he would. If you could help give me some credit on my card l would appreciate alot.This will make me come back to you all the time.

Pros: Great car, all of the Enterprise people were kind and courteous.
Cons: Enterprise does not allow you to drop the car off at the Gulfport airport only at an off-site location. No one told me this when I picked up the car so I wasted a lot of time going to the airport, only to find that I needed to drive off site and wait for a shuttle.

Pros: Rented same day, no hassle, friendly, lower cost, told I could drop off to any location in city in which I had booked drop-off (not same as pick-up)
Cons: Desk seemingly unaware of booking, pickup felt slightly hurried, discount not applied at pickup and no clear instructions to receive it (though it did show up at final cost on card).

Bait and switch
Pros: They offered me bottled water and the rep was nice.
Cons: The car I chose online was a small SUV. When I got there they tried to give me a economy class small car. They said for the price I paid they got to choose the car I drove.
I had to pay $10 more per day for the SUV i originally ordered.
Bait and switch.
I'll never use Kayak again.

A great car and service
Pros: We loved our experience with Enterprise. The car was new - 5000 miles on it, very clean and comfortable. The check in/out experience was smooth, no waiting, no lines. Price was very reasonable.

Rental location did not exist.
Cons: The location the car was booked at did not exist. I was dropped off by uber at the location before finding out they only rent to people who are having their car serviced at the body shop at the same address. I had to get another $30 uber to a different hertz location where getting a car at the quoted rate was a hassel. They other location also wasnt open on Sunday when I needed to drop off the car so I had to pay an extra fee to drop the car off at the airport which was even further out of my way.
Terrible customer service from both kayak and hertz. Will not rent from either again.

Courtney at the Hertz at MSY is the Best!
Pros: Courtney at the Hertz based at the New Orleans rental center is amazing! When we booked with Kayak, we were sent to a body shop that only rents cars to clients if their car was in an accident. We went to the Hertz at the airport to sort it out and Courtney made the process simple and straightforward. She offered such an incredible customer service. We will continue to book with Hertz thanks to her!

Cons: they did not have a car for me. I was sent to a body shop that was not even open, I was then sent to a car dealership (with a conf number) that also did not have any cars. I was then sent back to the airport to get my van but the price went from $900 to $1600

One extra day cost $134
Cons: Hertz booked me at a location that no longer did rentals, and I'd taken an Uber, so I had to pay to get to another Hertz location. "Sorry, the website needs updating" they say. Luckily, they honored the rate and had a car for me - a Kia Soul that got terrible gas mileage for such a small car. My flight back was cancelled due to weather. Hertz charged me about $134 for that one extra day, rather than the $25/day rate I had for 10 days. Then, for going on ONE lousy toll road, I get whacked $24.95 on my credit card. I will avoid Hertz in the future after this experience!

Pros: nice, brand new car with get up and plenty o' space. in and out were extremely smootha nd simple.
Cons: the car was picked up after mardi gras and there were feathers and an alcoholic beverage in the car; i,e. it had not been cleaned out!
