The pick-up staff was not friendly. the drop-off staff was very friendly. Also had a problem with pairing phone with media system. Had to go back. Thomas was extremely patient and helpful.

Staff friendly.

Cons:

The car was not clean when I picked up. I saw visible fingerprints on GPS screen, crumbs in the cup holder, and stains on both front seats. About 45 min into my 4 hour drive back to NY, the “!” Icon began to flash indicating the back right tire was low on air. I don’t typically drive so had no idea how to put air in tires or how much. Called Roadside assistance and was on hold forever. Luckily a cop pulled up at the gas station and was able to help me. These things should be checked before customers drive off w the cars. During COVID pandemic I feel that cleanliness should be a priority!

I don't think it was the Budget office's fault where I was picking up the car. The office improvised with a GMC truck that was available and gave it to us to rent. I had to wait about 35 minutes for the pickup and that made my timeline really tight.

Staff was wonderful. Unfortunately Budget doesn't provide the location with vehicles for the day until two hours before the site opens for business, so there was a long delay from check-in until my rental was ready.

Cons:

Turnover could be improved for cleaning vehicles by either having more staff or providing vehicles to be sterilized earlier.

This is the second time a hertz car stopped working in the middle of the rental contract. I currently have a tow truck on the way and will probably need to fight with a hertz representative to get a refund on a car that stopped working.

Pros:

The staff was exceptionally helpful. They were low on cars and initially going to "upgrade" me to a crossover, but when I stressed the fuel economy they turned around a car in minutes that had been returned since I showed up. And then, when I returned after 6 pm (but before the staff left), they accepted the vehicle without question. I also really appreciated that by paying in advance (not sure if a regular Hertz thing or just a limited thing) I was able to save a significant amount over other local competitors that I've used previously. Even with the more limited hours of this small shop, I would definitely consider using this Hertz location again.
