Intermediate SUV

They did not have a car for me even though I successfully booked it. They told me they called and left a message but I had no missed calls and no messages. They said it was because I booked the day before but they waited until I showed up the next day to tell me there were no cars. Put me in a really rough spot and were super unfriendly. I figured it out with enterprise who were so much friendlier to me.

I had booked in advance and got a confirmed reservation for a SUV but when I went to the Hertz office in LA, the car was not available. The staff just shrugged saying a conformation does not mean the car is available. Really? What else do I need a confirmed reservation for but to make sure the desired car is really there? They gave me a car that was damaged, tank half empty, dirty, low tire pressure warning on, much to small. I had to cramp 5 people with luggage into a compact. Calling Hertz was useless, I never got a chance to talk to a real person. I had to physically drive to different locations and ask to get the right car. Finally I did, but this took the first day of vacation.

The ideal experience. I am a med student and thus pinch pennies and accept some inconvenience to do it. It was far cheaper for me to rent a car a few days from this place in Culver City than the airport even accounting for ubers to and from. The car was clean and pick up and drop off were so easy. I spent longer waiting for the uber than dropping off my car. Will definitely use again next time I am in Los Angeles.

Pros:

It was absolutely awful. We ubered up to Los Angeles to pick up the car and they were sold out of cars for 2 days. It ruined our trip. It was TERRIBLE. We were stranded with all of our luggage and no ride. We had to Uber to Palm Springs which was 5x the cost and had to cancel the portion of our trip going south bc of the cost of Uber’s.

Cons:

Don’t sell cars if you don’t have them to sell!!! These are real people making reservations... look further than just getting money.

Cons:

I booked a 2500 on your site but only got a 1500 at Hertz. Is there any way I can get a credit because I didn’t get the size van I booked? Thank you.

Paid for insurance and enterprise didn’t accept any 3rd party insurance so i had to spend an hour and 3 different phone calls to get my money back. car also wasn’t ready for the reservation i had to wait 45 minutes.

Pickup truck

The front desk would not honor my reservation with kayak. He jacked up the price. He gave me a filthy vehicle. He did not provide a walk around. The vehicle fuel was not full. He charged me over a $100.00 for fuel on my contract without letting me know before leaving. He did not pull the vehicle into the parking lot; instead, he parked the vehicle in the gutter with two feet of water streaming by the driver door so that I had to walk through water to get in. He was rude and should be fired.
