This Days Inn seems to have seen better days. It was dark and smelled like the swimming pool inside, our smoke alarm beeped randomly, the pillows were super lumpy and not a normal size, the elevator was dirty and felt sketchy, and it had a semi-abandoned feel despite a large number of cars in the parking lot. We had a second night reserved for the last night of our trip but we cancelled because we...

It was cheap, and the beds were made...that's about it. The beds themselves were absolutely horrible, like sleeping on a $39 trampoline made of just springs, and the mattresses didn't even match the box springs underneath. The in-room refrigerator had apparently fell off the back of a truck, had to be tilted off of it's broken leg to open, had no shelves, was plugged into the LAMP, and was dented....

Cons (-) Very unfriendly staff. Covered up painted walls. Could see daylight under the door. Basically a pig with lipstick.

Pros (+) Coffee was good
Cons (-) Room stank of smoke, mold, and mildew. Some kind of drug dealing and/or prostitution going on outside the front of the hotel. Would never stay here again. Disgusting.

Bryan, Jun 2019 - Days Inn by Wyndham Columbus Fairgrounds
Pros (+) 24 hour check in; professional, courteous staff; clean, comfortable room and bed.
Cons (-) Right next to a fast-food place and tricky to get to from the freeway; right next to the freeway with no noise wal or buffering.

Pros (+) Good proximity to airport and it’s nice that there is an airport shuttle. The gym looked good but we didn’t have a chance to use it.
Cons (-) Carpets were dirty and we didn’t like walking around on them barefoot. Towels were so rough and scratchy- not soft whatsoever. Plumbing made a loud whistling noise every time we turned on the shower. The free breakfast was lackluster- nothing we could really “grab and go” except red apples and underripe oranges. No WiFi signal in the room.

Cons (-) I think the continental breakfast could have been better. There were no kid friendly options with the exception of Frosted Flakes which my kids do not like. It was definitely geared more towards adults.

Pros (+) it was out of the elements. It was better than sleeping in a cardboard box.
Cons (-) The place is old and run down. There is a sketchy trailer park across the street. Everything is dirty. The elevator broke so often that they had a out of order sign on the room cleaning cart which was left in the hall overnight. The room was not clean. The bathroom was especially disgusting.
