This former Sheraton facility has some issues, dominantly management and maintenance related. When we arrived, 2 of 3 bathroom lights were out. This begs the question of whether the room was inspected after the last guests or whether the housekeeping staff noted the outage and didn’t report it. It seems the more one pays for a hotel room, the less one gets — that’s the sacrifice when you trade affordability for location. The Sheraton at Capitol Square is a convenient location, but doesn’t have a restaurant or bar. Cons (-) Took over 3 hours to check in, bed wasn't comfortable, was put into room that we didn't ask for. Took so long to check in we missed our dinner reservation for our anniversary.

When we called the front desk and asked for replacements they told us they could only bring us a duvet cover because there was no housekeeping there. Cons (-) The rooms were not ready for everyone in my conference and some people did not get their room until 9pm. Also, all of the cards to enter the rooms stopped working b/c they were programmed to expire after 1 day, but we all stayed 2 days.

Pros (+) I love the hotel room. One of the best rooms I’ve stayed in. Felt like a one bedroom apartment. Too many hotel rooms feel like matchbox spaces. Sheraton took the effort to figure out design comfort and class. Loved it. Room was clean. And comfortable. Loved the space. Was sad the trip was so short!! :)
Cons (-) Recently had to change my diet so was sad that they didn’t have gluten free bread options. I was able to work with what they had don’t get me wrong but still wanted gluten free.
