Cons:One tire must have recently had an inadequate patch job because one morning I went out to the car and it had completely deflated. Figuring out how to deal with that was incredibly frustrating because corporate Dollar and the San Diego location are two separate entities that were unwilling to talk to each other and figure out a solution that worked for everybody. They were not interested in making things easy on me, the paying customer, whose vacation was interrupted because of a faulty tire they placed on the vehicle they rented to me.
Pros:Clean car.

Cons:No option to drop curb side when arriving at LAX.
Pros:I was able to pick up my rental quickly. The Dollar rental center at San Diego has agent kiosks, so I was able to avoid the line and select the car I wanted in the lot. The car was clean and in good working order. I would definitely rent from them again.
Cons:I had some difficulty finding the cars for my car class (intermediate, a.k.a. midsize). The signage could be better.
Cons:Horrible counter service that fried to scaremonger me into buying insurance even through it was covered by my credit card. I walked away and rented a car from a competitor instead.

Pros:Quick and easy day rental of the right car.
Pros:Everything went well. A little bit of convincing to pay more but not too annoying. Then when I dropped off, it seemed to go smoothly until I looked at my receipt. For processing the return 4 min after the time due time, they charged me $3.00. I actually arrived a few minutes before that and there is usually a courtesy hour given. I was already a distance away and was on slow public transportation so I no longer had time to go back and dispute. A small fee but there really was no justification for it and they snuck it in there when I wasn't looking. I'm pretty poor so any unexpected fee has an affect on me.
