I had to pay so much extra because apparently the insurance I had didn’t cover Expedia/economy car rental despite said insurance covering every other car rental agency. So either I was lied to or it’s just economy and I’m never going to rent from them/expedia again. I was also given a number to call travel guard which is not able to cover after the rental purchase was made. The car was also full of dog hair. In total this rental cost me 200$ instead of the 40 +30 I paid for the rental and insurance initially. Huge rip off. Took forever and is so inconvenient to get to without a car! Insane. Took a long time to get the car. First of all, there shuttle only comes to remote rental car center near LAX. You need to take a bus to get there. Then you take there shuttle to get to their office. It took me almost an hour to get the get and be on my way. There were two agents working the desk and they were really helpful but, the whole process was slow. After my experience with this company I understand why they have a low score, initially I let myself be carried away because they offered me a very low price, but when I pick up the car the cost was going to be higher than the other companies with better score, so I decided to go and rent with another company, I do not recommend ECONOMY RENT A CAR for anything, very bad service and unethicalReviewed Apr 23 2024

Total rip off like priceline who mentioned Unlimited kms on the invoice and then refused to refund me. They started showing me terms and policies when the Invoice clearly shows Unlimited kms. I didn't know that Economy was located outside of the normal rental car center at San Diego Airport. The information was not evident in the confirmation email from Kayak. We took a shuttle from the airport to the rental car center only to find out we needed to go to another location to get our car. We had to take an Uber there afterwards. It should be noted that this facility is not at the main pick up for car rentals. With 2 children and heavy car seats the 2 stops to get there were hard plus we had to pay to return car the location closed way before our flight back home. PReviewed Apr 21 2024
