Wonderful
James, Aug 2022 - Hampton Inn & Suites Richmond-Downtown
The property is set up to share space with another hotel within the same brand, this was very confusing! There was no mention of this set up when we booked our rooms or even at check in. The front desk at each should be instructed to give even just a brief overview of the arrangement. The elevators, check in, parking, breakfast were all confusing and being given no explanation was frustrating. Als...

Pros (+) Location and room size
Cons (-) The bed and sheets were very uncomfortable, like sandpaper. The hotel elevators and parking garage are somewhat confusing.

Austin, Mar 2019 - Hampton Inn Richmond-South
Pros (+) Room was a good size and had a comfortable bed/pillow as I had an extended stay there for business. Convenient location as it’s easy access on & off the interstate.

Pros (+) Great 24 hour customer service, good breakfast.
Cons (-) The pool wasn't maintained as well as it could've been. We had to request towels each time and for the filter to be turned on. Also, our housekeeper didn't clean our room thoroughly. She would leave a lot of trash we couldn't fit into their tiny trash bins instead of disposing of it. She also seemed to do the bare minimum with each cleaning and didn't replace items we used as is customary.

Cons (-) The room was dark, small window for such a large room.

Pros (+) Beautiful location with great access to nearby venues. New construction so everything was well designed and up-to-date. Friendly staff!
Cons (-) The cleaning ruined it for me. The bathroom was poorly cleaned before I got there and during my stay. Multiple issues with this prompted me to write a review. I'm hoping they correct this issue moving forward.

Pros (+) Rooms was very clean & big! Breakfast included is always a bonus. Would stay again. Checked in on a Friday evening. The man at the front desk was very helpful with ideas for dinner. I find it refreshing because some of my travels have a restaurant in the hotel & the only place they suggest is in the hotel. This hotel does not have a restaurant but breakfast was very yummy!
Cons (-) The book in the room had a list of restaurants you could go to. However, there was no addresses or what type of restaurant it was. I like to try local places & not go to chain restaurants that I can find everywhere.
