Cons: Store closed before advertised closing hours so I was unable to pick up my rental car, so I had to pay an extra $67 to change my reservation to pick it up the next day. Filed a complaint and someone from Hertz was supposed to call, but I haven't heard from anyone. I will NEVER use this company again!!

Cons: Never got the CAR I wanted. Had to have someone else drive me in a vehicle I was uncomfortable driving. Had to pay for an additional driver. Very dissatisfied. Did not get what I had ordered.

Pros: That the rental office was at the airport. Very convenient and very good rate. Loved the car, a Mazda 3.
Cons: Had to read the manual to figure out how to start the engine with a keyless fob. No problems after that!

Cons: booking spammed me from kayak to priceline that took the reservation from the airport to a location that was a $22 cab ride from airport then another $ 16 charge to return to airport. Will never use kayak again

Pros: Very friendly customer service
Cons: Trying to find the location of the rental car desk was not the easiest if you're arriving locally (not flying in). The car return location is clearly labeled however the pick up is not.

Not a good deal
Pros: The Hertz office, for the kayak deal, was not at the airport. We were told by Hertz airport location to take a taxi and the Hertz location would credit us the cab fare. Still have not received a credit. Told to leave the car at the airport, we would be charged $16, we were charged $37. Kayak needs to check the facts before making any more deals for this company.
Cons: Too many hidden strings.

Worst customer service
Cons: I booked my rental, then called the hertz line to extend it by one day. The man on the phone ended up canceling my rental saying I needed an airline ticket ( I never booked through a hertz near an airport) He said that as a local I could not rent with out one and never provided answers to my questions. Well when that was done, I called back 10 minutes later to try and speak to a manager, the lady who answered said that the previous man had made a mistake and that my rental was fine and that she was able to extend it and charge me for the extended day. Well, come tuesday the day we were supposed to pick up our rental at 7:30am to head on our trip. The hertz location had no information about our rental. They said they couldn't help us and didn't seem to care. I called back to the hertz hotline and requested to speak to a manager. The manager told me repeatedly I didn't know what I was talking about and tried telling me " I was the one who cancelled it" I never cancelled the car, and she kept getting the order of when I called all wrong, which luckily for me I wrote down the times and who I spoke to. She kept saying I called on a monday when in fact I called on a sunday twice. Then proceeded to degrade me for using a debit card instead of a credit card ( which the website even says that I can use a debit card to reserve a vehicle, and I was ok with a credit check) She was unhelpful and said that she could do nothing and was rude. Hertz has the worst customer service I have ever delt with. I try to never leave reviews, but the way they handled this left me angrier than ever. I will never deal with this business again, I will never recommend them to any one. If you need a car rental agency that actually cares and deals with issues professionally then don't book through hertz. Ever.

Horrible customer service
Pros: The SUV was great... when we finally got it
Cons: They had no suv's/ or even mid size on the lot when we got there. We reserved 3+ months prior. The manager there was clueless and couldn't help us. It was horrible!! Other people there had been waiting over 5 hours for a car too.

Pros: Wanted a US made car, got a Nissan, not impressed with it, showed 36000 miles and it felt like it.

No car available when I arrived
Cons: I arrived later than my pickup time because of flight delays and they didn't have a car for me. So rather than upgrading me they had me wait. I was already late to the funeral I was going to because of my flight delays. They said it was my fault because I didn't arrive at the pickup time I had stated in my reserrvation.

Pros: The car was very nice to drive and dependable. The seats are a little uncomfortable for long drives, not enough support. It was a Volkswagon , Jetta, fun to drive with lots of pickup and go...
Cons: Well, WE did not receive a complete detailed receipt of the transaction. That was our only complaint. . Over Weise we were very happy with the car and ride. The car did feel like it needed a front wheel alignment. too.

Hertz is horrible.
Pros: The location closed 10 minutes before I got there. I called Hertz and they had the same car for me locally but my rate would now double.
Cons: Both Kayak and Hertz were horrible.

Pros: Couldn't have asked for better. I had quite a bit of traveling to do over the holidays and the unlimited miles sure helped. The vehicle I had was brand new, not even 500miles on it and had a great 4 wheel drive on it was I was traveling in MI during the winter.
Cons: The Price: I originally paid for the rental online and was unaware that I had not paid for the insurance, and was charged more than I expected.

It's one of the worst rental company
Pros: I do not like anything. The car maintenance light was on and they told me it's not a big deal . Inside the car, odor was coming out and also smoke. When I submit the car, they did not check anything but I told them to check everything. Later on, they charged me 187.5 for not the fuel tank filled and also there were scratches. There used to be scratches on the car when I took tha car. And they charge me for that without checking it when I dropped the car.
Cons: I do not like anything. Service is too bad.

Bait & Switch
Pros: Nothing, the counter help was helpless, the manager was apathetic
Cons: Asked for a GM product, was forced to take a Ford that was much less than the GM product reserved and paid for. There were several GM products in the lot but the counter help and manager were more interested in their small talk and food rather than serving the client. You know the person that pays the bills so they can have a job. I will not likely use Hertz again because it hurts. Hurts the wallet, the quality of vehicles available, gas milage, slooooooow pick up process, and the "client does all the work" return process. For a moment I thought they were going to ask that we vacuum, wash, change the oil, and clean the windows as well.

Electronic glitch without potential for resolution
Pros: I have worked with Kayak before, and had a good experience
Cons: I booked through Kayak - rerouted to carrentals.com. I checked the date of rental multiple times before paying for the car, because I was traveling to my father's funeral and it was important to get the date correct. Despite checking multiple times, when I got rerouted, the date changed electronically without me changing it. At the point of booking, there was no chance of resolution. Kayak won't resolve because it was rerouted through carrentals.com. Carrentals.com won't resolve because I had a Hertz confirmation, they just told me to go through Hertz. Hertz would not resolve because we prepaid through carrentals.com. So I have had to contest the charge on my credit card because there is no path to resolution. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Pros: Price, promptness, friendliness
Cons: Only issue was when we went to "airport" counter in GRR, they told us the location for pickup was off-site. Did not realize this when booking. However, Hertz paid for the taxi ride to rental site!!

Cons: I called and reserved my car. And they waited till the day of when I tried to pick it up to let me know all the requirements. Since I did not have a major credit card ( my debit card with a 1000$ line of credit was not sufficient) I was unable to rent a car. Not a good thing to find out last minute. And the employees were very unprofessional and very rude. Will not be going back. Ever. All hail enterprise!!!!!
