Pros: staff moved fast to get us the car and just as fast to check it back in. Often staff move in slow motion.

Pros: No worries about the car. Charged what was agreed upon. Hertz treated me as a valued customer even though I was getting an incredible rate on their car! Car was comfortable and operated better than expected. I don't typically rent the Intermediate class of cars. When I traveled for work, I always rented full size vehicles. This being a smaller car, I was hesitant but ended up being pleasantly surprised. I plan on renting through KAYAK again.
Cons: I understood from the rental agreement on this site that both my wife and I would be allowed to drive the Hertz vehicle. Hertz alerted me that only I could drive it and my wife would cost an additional $13.99 a day. I was not happy since this was close to what I paid for the car originally. But the Hertz attendant also told me that if I signed up for the Gold rewards program, my wife would be automatically allowed to drive the car with no questions. Problem averted thanks to Hertz. It could very well be that this site also stated that this would be the case and I didn't read it very well, but it really isn't an issue.

Most horrific rental experience ever!!
Pros: The roadside assistant was nice and helpful.
Cons: 1. Our vehicle had a plugged sidewall in the front passenger tire that began to work its way out creating a very dangerous situation for my family. 2 While returning the trade in we picked up in Daytona we waited for 45 min which gave us ample opportunity to speak with numerous other families returning cars. 2 had vehicles with expired oil changes 2 had vehicles who's tags expired in 3 day. 3. The office was a complete mess. There were kids and a dog running around the detail bay. A woman kept yelling at Harley...not sure if that was the dog or one of the kids. The attendant was in sweat pants and a tshirt with a very long beard and tatted arms....very unprofessional establishment!! 4. The attendants way of apologizing "Firestone down the road checks all of our vehicles so it's their fault" I call bs on this one because I manage a fleet of 30 company vehicle all serviced by that Firestone and know the manager and most of the mechanics at this location. I know first hand they would NEVER plug a side wall of a tire because they won't take the liability. They are quick to sell a new tire...it's their job!! In fact they often want to replace all 4 tires at a time when I take my fleet in for repairs. 5 That was in no way an apology for putting the safety of my family at risk. We drove over 10hours one way on that tire and had it blown on the interstate it could have easily killed all of us!!! So to answer this question I will not only never recommend Hertz I will adamantly encourage all of my friends, family, and co workers to never use Hertz!
