The pickup was awful. After we checked in we were told there were no vans by an employee. Then we were told they had one but it was dirty and at another area. I was told it was being cleaned for us but then 10 minutes later the gentleman who was supposed to be cleaning the vehicle walked out of the building to go clean it. We were on a schedule and didn’t get the van til over an hour after our scheduled time. Nobody there seemed to care and we were never offered any other option other than waitingReviewed Jun 15 2023

Reserved my rental car early in the morning and drove 45 miles to the airport to pick up and they told me I couldn’t pick up same day and that I could come back tomorrow. If I couldn’t pick up the same day then they should not have allowed me to reserve the car.Reviewed Jun 8 2023

Huge line for pickup at MEM. Location was understaffed. Team there was working very hard, but closed while passengers were arriving late. Rental car was filthy -- likely no time for staff to clean it. Dropoff at BHM was very easy. It seems like Hertz needs to increase/lengthen its staffing model at MEM.Reviewed Apr 23 2023

They refused to accept my payment using Affirm. They stated I needed the credit card I used to rent the car with. I used Affirm. So they refunded (I've yet to receive that) my payment, canceled the reservation, and made me rebook the car using a credit card I had with me. The people working the counter did nothing to help me and made me call the 1-800 line multiple times to fix this. How is this my fault? I spent 2 hours at the airport trying to get a car. I was just charged by Affirm today because they've never received a refund. Someone needs to fix this situation. If Affirm is not an option, they shouldn't offer it.Reviewed Mar 23 2023
