Cons: They gave away my rental, even though I provided my flight information and arrived 1 hour from my booked time. Without apology I was told it was my fault I was late and would have to wait another hour for a replacement vehicle.

Nice Car, Poor check In experience
Pros: The car (the 2nd one we got) was clean and great to drive. The people at the HERTZ counter were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: 15 minutes after driving away with the 1st car from our downtown pickup, it developed a weird sound and feel on the right front wheel. We were on a bridge over the St. Lawrence River leaving Montreal so couldn't pull over. When we got off the bridge and pulled into a parking lot we discovered a bit of the undercarriage had come loose and was rubbing against the wheel. We called the 800 number and they offered to come out in 4-6 hours and tow us back to the airport which was 1+ hours further west from where we picked up the car. Finally convinced the phone support to find us another car at the downtown site we had just left. He did, but then when we gave him the address where the car was he said there was no such address. We were in the parking lot of a hotel and funeral home and had the address and cross street right in front of us. We told him we were not going to wait 4-6 hours for a tow and would catch a taxi back and pick up our replacement car. He told us to leave the keys under the seat of the car and leave it unlocked for the tow truck. I looked up our location on Google maps and finally when he had the postal code he said he found our address. We picked up our replacement car and left on our way. A week later when I turned my car back in, they couldn't / wouldn't close out my bill cuz they said it didn't show in their computer system what had happened to the car we had left in the parking lot. I have a 'preliminary' bill but I'm worried HERTZ will try and stick me with extra charges for their 1st car that failed.
