Overall clean, good breakfast. Wifi worked well. Room was modern, but the bed was soft. Had complimentary fridge and microwave which was nice. Would have loved this hotel if traveling for work, but not really the best set-up for a family with a baby. Drunk person wandering around front of hotel when we went to check-in at 8pm on a Friday. Had to carry our infant through group of smokers that congregate at the front door (gross.) Nobody manning the front desk, had to find someone to check us in. Only offer valet parking option. The free "crib" provided was just a pack and play, not really good for sleeping baby (or easy to clean!) and overall the hotel was on the noisier side. Also no bathtub in the room for bathing kids.
Recently opened after multi million dollar historical restoration...beautifully done well appointed and great central downtown location. Although not crowded during my stay I would imagine the hallways will become very noisy due to the beautifully restored marble floor and half wall wainscot.
Loved the whole feel of the retrofitted space! Extraordinarily comfortable, great safety features, and amazing location.
The location to everything downtown. Walked to many locations. The wood floors in my room. Friendlies of the staff, very helpful! The smells of the building. Old building wit a slight sewer smell. No fan in the bathroom. Had another light in the ceiling but couldn't figure out how to turn it on.
Our room was the cheapest, on the 8th floor, sounds high but the lobby is on the 6th and the 7th is meeting rooms and lounge / restaurant. We could hear lounge music at night while in the bathroom / tub but it wasn't terrible in the sleeping area. What impressed me most is that our room already had the crib set up - a real crib (small size but not a pack-n-play) and they had included for the first night anyway baby shampoo and outlet covers - it was so thoughtful. She loved walking to and fro around the room and looking out the window at the cars below. There was a mini bar but I would have preferred just a standard mini fridge so that we could keep our water and apple juice cool without worrying about my daughter getting into the alcohol. The valets were very nice if a bit pushy - we ended up street parking because our car is not very expensive and Cleveland parking is free on weekends rather than pay $*each time we come or go from the hotel. The hotel provides a map to go jogging and water bottles when you return - a nice idea and the hotel is attached to the same mall as the Marriott Renaissance which has a nice lobby fountain. I asked the front desk for a map of how to get to the botanical gardens and instead she printed off a mapquest directions with no map - we followed them but they were not right - a street did not exist and we would have been better off just driving down Euclid and watching for signs to the garden to get to the wedding rehearsal on time. The shoeshine was nice.
It was very clean abd the staff were very friendly.
Our check-in was fine. Upon arrival to the room it was uneventful which is less than what I would expect from the Ritz. My wife and I live just outside of Cleveland and I wanted to pamper her with an impeccable stay at the Ritz and all the ammenities and services which are to accompany a stay at the Ritz. Upon returning to our room, we opened the refrigerator to poor a Grey Goose mixed drink only to find that the seemingly sealed bottle was previously consumed and filled with water. After calling room service, rather than a sentiment of surprise and apology, found this to be routine and simply offered a replacement. For starters, I am amazed that anyone would do this. I am also concerned of the source of the replacement water. I cringe when I think that at the Ritz, I consumed an unknown substance which could have been toilet water for all I know. After 30 minutes, there was no promised call from the server and no replacement bottles of Grey Goose. I called again and he assured me I would receive a phone call. Clearly the Ritz understaffed even though they charged me rate which gave no indication of limited staff and service. The server was great, simply unable to service the entire hotel solo. Fast forward-I am home now to find that my one night stay has been billed to my credit card atleast 4 times on separate days! Of course accounting is closed and no one else is cross-trained to correct over the weekend. I had to cancel my credit card to prevent over $1000 being charged to my card without authorization (I believe that's fraud).
Stayed two nights in July 2013. Very clean rooms. Accessible location. Tower City mall is at connected and you don't have to go outside to get to the Horseshoe casino. Nice facility and the staff was very warm and friendly. Will make this my Cleveland hotel of choice when I am in town. I've stayed in major hotels across the USA for many years and this is at the top of my list for excellence. You get what you pay for.
Good hotel that is located downtown. Different from normal hotel, a mix of old with new. The location is great, everything is within walking distance, Tower City, the Q, Progressive Field and numerous bars and restaurants. Rooms are newly updated and the hotel itself is under renovation. Try to request a room across the arcade, you get an interesting walk through the top of the arcade as you find your room. Great hotel, with a cool, architecture location. The staff was perfect as well; doing anything to help. Currently under construction, but they are updating so I'm sure it will look great once they are done.
Staff for sure, location was clutch and breakfast, yeah I want to stay Swimming pool would have been the only thing
Close to the airport Breakfast Buffet Pillows were excellent Downstairs meeting rooms were nice (though I wasn't there for a meeting) Couldn't find my reservation and had to wait 20 minutes for a manager to come down to work on some computer issues. My card was charged twice for the stay The photos for the hotel do not match the actual condition of the hotel. It appears that nothing has been upgraded/refreshed in > 10 years. Pealing wallpaper, missing baseboard molding, musty smells were prevalent in the hallways and in my room. My room had drywall next to the air conditioning unit and the door to the hallway squeaked like it was 200 years old, The room was not cleaned during my two night stay For the money this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at hands down, and I am a frequent business and leisure traveler
Front desk staff was wonderful! Made us feel welcome and important! Shuttle driver to airport was not friendly - not even a good morning! Offered no info or offers of info on how to get to gates - which at an airport under construction would have been helpful!
The clean room. That the hotel was a little outdated, I stay with Marriott frequently and I feel the professionalism of the staff was non existent. They did not even thank me for my stay upon checkout.
I loved the bed and the room was the perfect temperature. It was quite. Perfect for anyone that just needed a place to sleep and are much more active than we were. Their is no room service that we found. The sink being outside the bathroom was weird. The restaurants nearby closed pretty early leaving fast food as the only other option.
Fast. Clean and quiet
Modern style hotel Hotel had no soap, iron. It was still under construction
People who worked there were nice , the room was beautiful , bed comfy The bathroom wasn't clean there was hair in the tub and floor also hotel was under construction , the hall ways and elevator were horribly hot and it was a bit of a walk , also a lot of the construction stuff could have been hidden way better or attest looked straightened up
Nothing. Staff was rude when we arrived. They couldn't find our booking and then continued to be rude to the poor lady from booking.com who was trying to help us out.
The price The hotel is under reno. There are no signs outside. The updated room was done poorly and was dirty.
The hotel was clean and quiet in a nice location. The staff was nice and professional. The breakfast was also good as well.
My son and I were just traveling through , but the hotel was nice. Our room great and bed very comfortable
I just stayed for one night on my drive from the northeast to Chicago. The hotel is in a nice and quiet location. I had my car loaded from moving and I felt comfortable leaving my belongings in the car overnight. I didn't do much in the room besides sleep, but the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was decent and in line with what I have had at extended stay hotels like Homewood Suites. There are some restaurants very close by which was nice when you are a weary traveler. No complaints.
I liked the location and the value of the room when you factor in breakfast. While it wasn't dirty, the furniture and decor was old. I stay at Hampton Inns at least 2 weeks a year and this Hampton Inn had the most disappointing food.
They did not have a non smoking room for us so the woman at the front desk was wonderful and found us one. She also told us abt a wonderful pizza place. The young man the next morning was also very personable. The woman who worked the breakfast was wonderful and helpful even if she was going a 100 miles an hour.
The power went out for awhile and the air conditioning went out for several hours through the night making it impossible to sleep. The air didn't come back on until 2 in the morning. It was not a good night of sleep at all. If that didn't happen, the stay would've been great. Unfortunately, it was miserable.
I felt like the hotel was clean, and staff was fantastic, going out of their way to accommodate, always with a smile on their face. I don't feel like it was worth the money. Everything is ala carte, and for a pretty short window of time when you can order breakfast. The couch in the room was weirdly shaped. Really deep and awkward to sit on.
great breakfast!! the location was great for me while my son visited BW. booked online and my reservation was ready, no problems. had a few cookies and was offered a bottle of water while checking in.
Great, friendly staff. Great breakfast options. Hot and cold items. Very clean facilities with plenty of space. Large rooms.
Booked online and received a booking confirmation, upon arrival was informed by the manager of a glitch. He did a very good job of helping get us to an alternate property. What happened between booking, confirmation and arrival? This was very frustrating as we were coming for out of town.
This was one of the friendliest places we've stayed. Everyone, from the front desk to the service staff, was welcoming and cared about our stay. Within minutes of checking into our room, the front desk called to ascertain if all was well with our room. The room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The next morning, as we were headed to breakfast, the service staff asked about our room and if it met our expectations. The breakfast area had plenty of seating and a separate space for the food. It was easy to navigate around, although there were a fairly large number of people in attendance, and it didn't make you feel like the area was an afterthought that was just stuck on with a couple of boxes of cereal and lukewarm coffee. Breakfast included fresh, hot eggs, choice of meat, fresh fruit, bread choices, and wonderful coffee. We usually stay at the Express place, but my experience here may definitely change our preference. This is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it!
No outlets in the rooms, dirty sheets Filthy dirty and outdated with a staff that doesn't communicate and is very unprofessional. However, the bar/restaurant that is connected to the hotel is awesome and the staff there was very friendly and accommodating.
The staff was spectacular and the beds were super comfortable. There was hair matted in the hair dryer and the lights next to the bed did not work. There was something spilled down the from of the cabinets.
I really liked that they had free parking and a fairy good breakfast. The building is very old and not so much clean. Also the air conditioner wasn't working really well in my room. I didn't like that they haven't had checked the room they were going to give to me because it was not cleaned and I had to change it with a room that was a bit worse furniture wise.
Shower did not work, hotel did not smell good
Warm ambience, friendly staff. We had a great experience! Will be back!!
Clean, modern, obviously newly built, and staff are exceptional. Parking, or I should say lack of. I did not see that they have no non-paid parking, and valet cost $18 per day. A cost I did not anticipate. But the price for the hotel rooms is very reasonable, so this additional cost was not prohibitive.

The location was excellent, and it was well maintained. The room was very nice, but the heating/air conditioning unit made a rumbling sound in the middle of the night even though we had switched it on off. It made it very difficult to sleep.
room parking lot small, pay breakfast, high rates
Great place to stay for Case Western Families Small lobby and valet service
Convenient Location 'Market had limited supply of items'.
Clean and comfortable. N/A
The room and accommodations were excellent . The staff were extremely helpful in arranging their shuttle and transportation for us to the airport.
Friendly staff, room was spacious, modern and the beds were very comfortable
Close to university
The courteous and helpful staff made our special weekend even better! The rooms were very clean and the downstairs Bistro was top notch. I will definately stay there again when I am in town.
There was some work done and i was surprise to hear construction noise at 9 am
The Hotel rooms were decent and had the normal amenities. The location was excellent as it was mins away from most things around. The staff was polite and courteous even to us out of state fans. Only thing was the pool area could use a slight make over. There was chipping paint and water marks around. Other than that, nothing really else.
