Staff was fantastic at pick up and drop off. However, we prepaid through Kayak and our vehicle was not available. Our only choices were to go without a vehicle or pay double to upgrade. The last minute rental was a bit pricey to begin with, and the final cost was exorbitant.

Once we learned the facility was about 1/3 mile from the Iceland airport and could not find a Sixt booth or their shuttle at the Iceland airport, we decided to walk to the facility in the rain & wind. Otherwise, the check in & check out process was ok and the vehicle served us well in our travels around Iceland.

The line was over an hour and a half long to pick up my car. They know ahead of time how many reservations they have and were ill prepared. The first agent I worked with was rude, condescending, and tried more than once to rush me into entering my credit card and accept things I clearly told him I didn’t want like paying in advance for tolls and gas. I then waited an additional half hour for a manager who checked me out. The manager was fine to work with.

Renting a car though them is a joke! There are so many things that need to be paid that isn't told to you when you reserve a vehicle. We wasted so much time going there, after getting lost trying to find the place, because that is unclear, as well, and we weren't even able to rent the car anyways. Very disappointed and will never do that again. Also tell people that they need to pass a credit check before they waste their time! Some people live paycheck to paycheck, you know!

The experience was terrible. I’d avoid BUDGET at all cost. The lines were long and the agents were unfriendly. Additionally, they tried to add a $15.99 fee for fuel when I returned, even thought I’d already filled it up and returned it full. It’s a dishonest business practice that is not customer focused. Rent elsewhere, if you can.

We arrived to the Budget Rental in the Miami Airport to a very long line for our rental pickup. The line moved very slowly and added over an hour to our long travel day. We won’t be using Budget again. The other rental businesses seemed to be properly staffed and taking care of their customers very quickly. We were very frustrated with your company.

The cars werent ready people were waiting for hours to get their cars. I gave up and went to Alamo which had cars now and even cheaper than my rev. With thrifty. I will never use thrift again.

The line at the airport rental desk was 20 people deep. we waited 15 minutes and no one in line moved. perhaps there was some trouble, but we did not see anyone leave the desk to get their rental car. there were 3 agents at the desk. we decided that it would be better to get a lLyft to take us from the airport to our destination, 40 miles away. The cost of the Lyft from and back to the airport was less than the cost of the rental car. There was no way to modify or change the rental, so I lost $145. Next time we will just use Lyft.

Initial Hertz rep didn't know what he was doing. Delayed our trip by 2 to 3 hours. Kayak, you have terrible customer service. There is no way to contact anyone. I will never EVER book anything through you ever again!!! Lesson learned by going through another party instead of just going directly through the actual company.

Ease of pick up and drop off. Please fill the tank with fuel. Not sure why I can't charge the rental company $10/ gallon when the tank isn't full but you an hit me if it's not full. It's not easy to return a vehicle the same when it's not full.

Extremely disappointing. Not very clear about picking up since there were three different areas at the airport to choose from. The agent at the first counter was rude and not helpful, and the other counter had a long line. It added a lot of additional time to go to a different area of the airport where the car actually was. The car pick up took about an additional hour. It was extremely frustrating to get ridiculous charges on the backend. The car was paid for, but additional fees were added on. Tax, auto facility charge, concession fee recovery etc. added it up to an additional $120! To me, this is padding. These charges should have been clear upfront. It was really infuriating. Definitely a deceptive practice to lure the consumer into thinking the fee they paid was the final price.

This was in the area where the vehicles were at the airport. The key fob needed a new battery. I was told to go get one and we will be reimbursed or I could pick a different vehicle. So I went to the counter to ask a question and because I wasn't a Gold Member, they turned around and walked away. So I got into the same vehicle and drove out. On our trip we had to find a store to replace the battery. Not a fan at all. Bringing the vehicle back, I couldn't get my money back, I had to get it back thru a voucher when we rent next time. Not a fan!!!!

I reserved a mid size pickup for almost $200 a day and was given a ‘managers choice’ vehicle. So for $200 a day I drove the smallest car they had- a Chevy Spark. It was a complete ripoff.

I paid for a large SUV ahead of time and when I arrived to pick up my car, I was told there were none in stock and I would have to pay to “upgrade” to a minivan. This doubled the price of my rental. It was infuriating to pay for a reservation only to be told it wasn’t available and I would have to pay more.

Location at terminal closed, no signs to tell you where to go. Ordered a full size SUV and was provided a small suv. When questioned about full-size I was told, because it had 7 seats, it was full sized. Will never be renting from dollar again.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I drove the car directly from the airport to the place I was staying, and when I arrived, I noticed that some bright pink liquid was leaking under the hood. I looked under the hood and saw that a tube was broken and fluid was everywhere. I immediately called Ace, where I was transferred 6 times and had to retell my story to each person (which was not too big of a deal). A woman named Katie finally got me, and immediately accused me of crashing the car and told me that it is my fault and either I needed to take it to a shop to get it fixed or I needed to pay $2k for them to come tow the car back to the rental agency. I told her that I did not crash the car, there was no other damage to the car, and the leak must have been cause before I got the car. She continued to tell me it is my fault and I must have done something to cause it. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, who ended up being even worse. She then transferred me over to John, who was even more rude. He spoke down to me the entire time we were on the phone, and continued to tell me it was my fault and that I had to fix it myself or pay to tow the car. I asked him about the bumper to bumper warranty, and he said this obviously would not be covered under warranty. He even ended up hanging up on me. I then drove the car (which was unsafe) to the nearest dealership and asked if they could fix it and explained the situation. Everyone at the dealership was disgusted and confused, and said that they've never heard of a rental company treating customers like that or making customers pay for/perform maintenance on a car. After they looked at the car, they told me it WAS covered under warranty, it was NOT safe for me to drive, and that they could not give me the car back. The serviceman also noted that there was no way the damage happened while it was in my care and was clearly not my fault. The car dealership service man called John directly and explained the situation, and only then did John agree to send me a new car at no cost to me. (Although John did call me back and tried to convince me to pay for and take a shuttle to the airport instead of getting the car.) The fact that I as the customer was immediately blamed for the damage without the company even looking at the car until a dealership serviceman backed me up is horrific. Terrible customer service. Nobody should be treated to or spoken to the way I was. I would never recommend renting with this company to anybody.

As soon as we landed, I received a text with instructions on what to do next. We jumped on the shuttle and got our car. We didn’t have any kind of what or any issues. When we returned the car, it was the same. No waiting and a quick shuttle ride back to the airport. It was 2 adults and 4 kids and 7 suitcases and 6 backpacks. We got a brand new Chrysler Pacifica van, that had 1000 miles on it. Very nice car that fit all of us and our luggage. It was great all around, renting from Ace.

Pro: The rental staff was very friendly and efficient. I was thankful they staff member was there an hour after the office closed as I didn't see anywhere on my reservation that the office closed at 5:00 PM on weekdays and I arrived about 5:30-5:45. I also discovered that if I missed picking it up that day, I would loose the rental sale price. Did I say the checkout staff was very kind and efficient? Con: see above. Please include information on the reservation details (hours) and what happens if your flight is delayed or rescheduled. Please include a copy of any prior noted damage when the car is picked up. I took pictures but was not sure the company was aware of prior damage until I returned the car. Since the office was closed right after I received the keys, I could only take pictures and hope for the best. I called about how to get to the offsite AVIS office and was told I could take a lightrail and walk two blocks. I got a ride and saw it was way more than two blocks and through an area that I was told was not safe. After returning the car to the offsite office, we took an Uber back to the airport (15 minutes).

The main reason I like renting at Enterprise Minneapolis Downtown location if for the after hours return option to the ramp.

Cons:

Had to wait 20 minutes for a car to be ready. Had to wait 10 minutes to return the car. With only one or two people working, they are never actually available to help the customer.

It was a brand new car and it was just what I asked for. Due to a long distance drive I requested an all wheel or 4 wheel drive SUV and i was able to secure it with no hassle. It was a well equipped car and a super quick and easy check out at the desk. Well done Enterprise.

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

I never got a car. They said that if the reservation was made less than 24 hours before there were no cars available. Get it together.... don't set up your system to allow reservations if there are no cars available. It reminds me of airlines overbooking flights.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. Horrible - do not book with NextCar. They denied my car insurance because I was not the primary policyholder. I have full coverage insurance, so there was no logistical reason to deny it. The supplemental insurance cost as much as the rental itself. I was never told at the time of booking that I would be forced to use their insurance if I wasn’t the primary policyholder. I was only told so 24 hours out from my booking. I’m actively trying to get a refund for this.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
