5.7 Okay
Cons: Check in was supposed to start at 3:00 pm. We arrived at 4:00 pm and had to wait more than 45 minutes for a room. Additionally that evening the hotel had some event that occupied not only the conference room but the entire lobby. You could not sit in the lobby and could barely navigate to get in and out. A real inconvenience to guests

Pros: The price and location to NYC was great The coffee and craft brew across the street was perfect

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool
Cons: Nothing
4.6 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: It is a run down hotel. There was a smell in the hotel that I smelled the minute we walked in. It never went away. My daughter complained of a ringing in her ears all night. Something was buzzing in our room. I thought I really overpaid for this hotel and am not happy about it. Also as we were packing things in our car, many of the cleaning staff were standing outside the door we used to go to car smoking cigarettes. They propped the door open to do this so the smoke smell was coming into the hotel. We had to walk past them and the smoke and smell of their cigarettes. This is something I absolutely despise. Employees smoking right outside a place.
4.0 Okay
Pros: only place near where my work took me
Cons: cigarette smoke permeates hall and lobby. bad decor. not clean. 3 surrounding rooms full of large group of men eating smelly food and socializing in the hall in their underwear. Classy!

Cons: Waffles taste funny. The police getting ready to go into somebody's room down the hall was nice to see in the morning.

7.0 Good
Pros: Sufficient breakfast and proximity to major roads
Cons: The toilet was clogged.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful--the woman at the front desk came to my room and rearranged the furniture so my laptop would have access to an outlet from the desk! The breakfast staff told me they were closing up in case I wanted to get something else.
Cons: It didn't make sense to have the desk next to a wall with no outlet for the computer. At the breakfast--otherwise fine--the scrambled eggs were dry and tough, as they had probably been in the warming pan for too long. Minor issue, though.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice staff and convenient location.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: The separation of sink from bathroom and that the bathroom was very small.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Location and friendly staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was nice; when desk clerk learned I was unable to use stairs she offered to re-assign us to a ground floor room. They have an elevator, so I didn't, but it was sweet. Breakfast was adequate. Room was clean, mattresses were good.
Cons: I am disabled. There was still snow when we visited, and while the parking lot was cleared, all of the disabled spots (several) had snow piled in them and were not usable. It surprised me to have this be ignored.
7.0 Good
Pros: Its location was good
Cons: There was an additional charge for my mother-in-law and father-in-law who stayed with us in the room

Cons: Everything was horrible
6.2 Good
Pros: The room was very large, the bed was comfortable, it was very quiet and we got a good night sleep. The people who worked there were nice and helpful. It's the opposite of luxurious, but our daughter was at a nearby camp and we needed a place to stay overnight, so it got the job done.
Cons: The internet barely worked, the pool was closed, and "breakfast" was so pathetic that we were laughing. Overall, it felt a little creepy, but really it was fine, just run-down.
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Puke stains on room floor, bug bites from bed, rude staff.
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: Very dirty hotel room. Cigarette smoke stench. Overcharged me on check in and then had to call travel website to have charge taken off.
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: I can deal with staying at a moderately run-down facilitiy, if I were getting a low enough price to boot. Certainly $89 was too much for this, however I needed a place in a pinch. When I arrived, your front desk person nor manager was anywhere to be found. I admit that I got there at 12:30 AM, but a reservation was made and it should be honored. Another couple was there as well, looking for their room. The sign on the desk said "if not here, call this #". We called and simply heard the phone ringing in the adjacent room, unanswered. Fortunately, after much searching, the lady of the other couple was able to locate the desk man at about 1 AM. Although the room cleanliness was somewhat bearable, and the mattress decent, clear signs of neglect were apparent: electrical wiring exposed, bathroom tile chipped, and rug stains. And although I had no intention of using it, the pool was shut down for repairs. The morning staff was nicer I admit (and actually there!!). I checked out peacefully and left. Knights Inn is not known for being "top-of-the-line", but it can be a much better go-to name if they simply took care of the little problems, and made their places habitable. Probably not staying here again, unless there's a major change in ownership or attitude.
Inn at Monticello - Monticello - Building
4.7 Okay (338 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Monticello, Inn at Monticello is in the entertainment district, within a 10-minute drive of Monticello Casino and Raceway and Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
4.8 Okay
Pros: I liked the price compared to the other lodges in the area which can be double. It is motel style so you can park right in front of your room. For only a night or two for sleeping purposes only it's fine.
Cons: The room was dated and the bathroom was not very clean. The "jacuzzi" tub/shower was weird.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Check in was a breeze, the room was adequate and the price was unbeatable.
3.4 Mediocre
Cons: Upon arrival I was told that they couldn't find my reservation because their system was down, and I later heard from another guest there that the "system was down" every single time that the guest called to attempt to reconfirm her reservation. The woman who manages the place was apparently never taught simple manners or words like "please" and "thank you," and upon handing me the room key she curtly told me, "NO BREAKFAST" -- which was surprising since the free breakfast was advertised at booking. As I went to the room another couple that was staying there warned me, "I hope you don't have asthma -- this place is disgusting." Fortunately the room itself was not quite THAT bad but there were literally parts of the building that were falling off and hanging over the walkway in front of the rooms. It felt unsafe. Don't expect 24-hour service. Nobody could be found in the front office the next morning. There was just a basket left on the counter with a note indicating to leave the keys in it to check out.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The pressure in the shower was literally the only redeeming quality.
Cons: Room still had trash from previous occupant, found door wide open on my second day there with no maid or staff anywhere to be seen, exposed outlet that sparked if plugged into, ceiling tiles falling apart, toilet rocked back and forth, constant children running up and down the walkway screaming and slamming doors at all hours of the night & day, I could go on.
