Pros:I flew in with my wife after taking an hour to get our luggage and waiting in line we arrived to Payless after midnight only to determine that they canceled our appointment. Read the fine print not all rent-a-car places are equal. We found another company with availability to price match us. Print a copy and keep it with you.

Pros:Car was new, clean but not what we reserved.
Cons:Reserved an intermediate car (Corolla or similar) for 6 days at PHX. On arrival was told the only car available was a 2-door VW Beetle which was inadequate for 3 people plus luggage. They offered a Jeep SUV for $140 more which we reluctantly agreed to. When we got to the lot, we saw a Toyota 3 cars down from ours. The gas tank was supposed to be full but was less than 7/8 which required a trip back to the counter to report. Upon drop-off, the guy seemed reluctant to give us a receipt, which made me wonder...... The experience was a "bait and switch". The company needs to change its name to PAYMORE car rental.

Pros:The service by MC was great! We loved him. The task of picking up the car and dropping off was easy.
Cons:The car was NOT clean on the inside or out and smelled like an ash tray. The smell was so bad that it gave my partner a head ache and we had to make an extra stop to pick up cleaning spray and an air freshner before continuing our trip.

Pros:Drop off was fine.
Cons:We bought the car insurance online AT THE SAME TIME AND WEBSITE when we reserve the car. The Payless attendent said we did not have insurance and we had to do the insurance denial form. Then he tried to say we only had a two door rental and could upgrade to a 4 door vehicle for a higher price. I never rented a 2 door car with a rental. We wanted the car we had prearranged for at the price. We refuse to upgrade. Then when we went downstairs to pick up our car all they had were 4 door cars which was the car assigned to us. Also the car was not washed, so how could we check it for straches and dents?
