Portland Cargo Van Rentals

Using Portland cargo van rentals is the best choice for transporting large and bulky goods. Cargo van rentals have high visibility and are easier to park or drive, especially on narrow streets, compared to truck rentals. Additionally, loading and unloading cargo van rentals is easy thanks to their swinging doors and low height from the ground. Tie-downs and cargo rails in cargo van rentals will keep your cargo safe during transportation, unlike open pickup trucks. Compared to typical car rentals, cargo vans are roomy and accommodate more goods.

Ensure you familiarize yourself with Portland’s driving regulations before getting a cargo van rental for safe driving. Distracted driving is prohibited; drivers can only use cell phones with hands-free accessories. Seat belts must be worn throughout the journey, and children should be secured in appropriate restraint systems depending on their weight and age. You should yield to pedestrians at crosswalks and traffic in the intersection. Stick to the marked speed limits, but adjust accordingly depending on the road or weather conditions. Avoid drinking and driving, as a blood alcohol limit of 0.08% will attract severe penalties.

Car rental agencies in Portland will allow you to take your cargo van rental to other regions, states, or countries. You may also take your cargo van into Canada without restrictions, provided you inform your rental company in advance. Some companies may provide you with a Canadian non-resident insurance card free of charge. One-way Portland cargo van rentals to Canada may be provided, and your supplier will provide a list of drop-off locations. Note that you may be subjected to a one-way drop-off surcharge.
