Pros:

Nothing. I canceled my reservation at the kiosk.

Cons:

I was given 3 cars to try. The first car wouldn’t turn on and was filthy. The second car had brakes that sounded terrible. The third was filthy. The clerk was rude and short with me. She said those 3 terrible cars were my only options. Yes, including a car that wouldn’t start. I canceled my reservation and went with enterprise.

Pros:

POOR customer service and response time to calls

Cons:

We had a problem because my husband was exposed and contracted Corvid the whole experience was handled as poorly as posible and lewft us with a huge bill when we informed them immediately. We won't be using Enterprise ever again

Pros:

I got the last car available and the interior had a strong smell of gas for the entire duration of the trip. I had to drive with the windows rolled down and no one from Enterprise answered the phone while trying to connect with them and ask if I could exchange the car during the trip from Portland to Bar Harbor.

Cons:

A real person answering the phone and/or calling me back.

Pros:

The staff I saw were nice. THere was no one there when I left with the car, and there was a problem. There was something wrong with the driver's side door, and there was no one to talk with about it. I just left because it was late and I was tired.

Cons:

For $100 per day, give me a car that is perfect. That was way too expensive for a car with a door that sounded like it would break off every time I opened it.

Pros:

The staff was very nice when we went to pick up our car. The car itself was very clean on the inside and out. It was so easy to pick it up and drop it off at the airport.

Cons:

I was not informed at the time of reservation that the company requires a credit card, which I do not have. I paid $35 at the time of booking and was no able to recoup that money, could t rent the car and was stranded at the airport!

The truck was fine. I just didn't reserve one: I reserved a mid-size car. Then the staff tried to "upsell" me a luxury car where they should have given me one at the same price because it was their fault to begin with. So I took the truck. Horrible business model.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.

Pros:

The agent accommodated our change request at the desk efficiently and the upgrade was more than satisfactory.

Cons:

Off hours drop off needs some work. There were no clear instructions or directions as to where to deposit the keys. I dropped them off at the unmanned desk. I never received a notice that the keys were accounted for.
