Pros: Water was ice cold in the shower. I notified her as soon as I got out and all she said was that I should have notified her sooner. It's like should I Hanne called you from the shower? It was the morning we were about to check out. Almost $200 for the night, disappointed
Riviera Oaks Resort & Racquet Club by Diamond Resorts is a great choice for a stay in Ramona. You can visit the spa to be pampered with deep-tissue massages, detox wraps, or aromatherapy. 2 outdoor pools and a fitness center are other highlights, and condos feature fireplaces and kitchens.
-location (convenient to I8)
-clean and comfortable beds
-coffee in the lobby
-very friendly and accommodating staff
-pretty good breakfast
-fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in the room
-A bit rundown (chips in the bathtub, damaged hot tub surface, non-functioning bath drain)
-variable water pressure and temperature
Cons: Had to have room changed because of excessive road noise

Cons: Run-down and very dated. Windows into bathroom from walkway outside has no closure. This place passed it's zenith in the mid-70s. Confused site layout, rooms hard to find at night. Sticky tables, chairs that collapse in the middle. Mismatched furniture.
Pros: Room View Pools and spa
Pros: I liked the fact that it was real quiet and it seemed as if we were the only ones there also liked the fact that we were able to walk out side for a beautiful view of the gulf course.
Pros: Beautiful clean lots of scenery friendly staff and golfers every where hidden gem
Cons: Kinda scary getting there at 1st at night off the beaten path but beautiful in the day time
Pros: The best hotel I stayed at in a very long time. I would love to stay there again.
Pros: We enjoyed our stay. Nice room near pool. Breakfast in restaurant was excellent.
Cons: An air conditioner in adjoining room was making incredible noise and kept us awake
Pros: The property was beautiful and tranquil, very well-kept.
Cons: When we arrived, the wi-fi didn't work; I could only connect intermittently, and when I did I still couldn't access the internet. Staff said they would get IT to work on it, but it behaved the same way until our departure two days later.
Pros: It was quiet, and it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The bathroom was great to get ready in, lots of mirrors and a heat lamp to warm it. The staff was terrific, very professional yet friendly.
Cons: They need to have room service until 10 pm. I returned hungry just after 9 pm. The maids need to empty the ash tray outside, there were cigarettes in it from the last guest. Parking near my room was difficult and to far away. No free breakfast.
Pros: Big room. Great view
Pros: Interior of rooms were great. We stayed for a tournament on the golf course. So, proximity obviously.
Cons: Walls seemed paper thin. The room next door had people chatting at 5am and we could hear them loud and clear.
Pros: The overall experience was great.

Cons: Parking was hard late at night. Lower parking lot was a little scary. Soda/water machine were out and you had to go to the front office for drinks. Wish there had been room for 2 Queen beds.
Pros: Location in Del Mar is fantastic
Cons: No, everything was fine
Pros: Good bed, quiet room, excellent location.
Cons: Ants. Ants IN THE BED, ants on the floor, ants the bed stand, ants in the bathroom. Call an exterminator and I'll give it 8 out of 10.
Pros: It is a very easy location for exploring San Diego since it is near the 5. There are views of the ocean and a 5 block walk to beaches and downtown Del Mar. The actual neighborhood has a bit of construction. Rooms have been partially updated (bathrooms).
Cons: bedding was a bit older. Parking lot wasn't well organized.
Pros: The location is very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, had a refrigerator in the room and a coffee maker which was great. Nice comfortable room. We enjoyed our stay.
Cons: I would recommend upgrading the bedding. The carpeting also looked worn.
Pros: Hotel room appeared to be recently remodeled and was spacious.
Cons: On the map the hotel appears to be only a couple of blocks from the beach put the closest beach access is at least a half mile away.
Pros: The location was wonderful and rooms were clean and inviting.
Cons: Pool supposed to close at 9pm but at 10:15 there were still people in the Jacuzzi and being loud. I turned on the 'loud' A/C which drowned them out. A lot of yelling in the halls at night on the last night of our stay. The first night was super quiet.
Pros: Nice location, good deals at the cafe. The beach was kid friendly .
Cons: A bit of a walk to the beach, but there's lots to see along the way.
Pros: Very quiet; an excellent room with a walk out to the pool and bistro through the sliding glass door. So convenient and so old school quaint, that I will have to go back. Not a 4 star, but a very nice place to stay in the middle of Del Mar with a quiet
Cons: I missed all the little kids running around.... NOT!!! Nothing about this hotel that I did not like.

Pros: Good location and we heard they have very nice rooms with suites. All of my friends had the same reservation wevended up with a studio they all had extra suites not sure how that happened .
Cons: They stop serving coffee in the lobby at 10 and check out time is 11. I was trying to keep them from having to wash any coffee pots in the room but when I came out there was no coffee after I checked out. Would have bed. Nice!

Pros: The bed was very comfortable; Crisp sheets and soft blankets.
The grounds keepers do an excellent job maintaining the gardens.
Cons: Interiors were getting a bit dated. Grout in bathroom and tile floors needs to be replaced. Dusty in the corners. Time for a deep cleaning.
A great stay at San Vicente Resort in Ramona can include a round of golf at the 18-hole course. Guests can visit the outdoor tennis courts for a workout or grab a bite to eat at Oaks Grille Par Lounge, which serves American cuisine. An outdoor pool and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms offer patios and pillowtop beds.
Cons: I thought the service was a little lacking. They were understaffed and weren't able to bring toiletry items to the room.
Pros: How quiet it was. It was peaceful.
Pros: Its location, comfortable bed, very clean and updated room with lots of wood. Felt more like a cottage experience (not size, of course) rather than a sterile hotel room.
Cons: The cost of the room. No breakfast included. They also were not able to provide an extra chair for my room.
Pros: Friendly bartender
Cons: Rooms were outdated, but fine. Shower ceiling had signs of mold.
Pros: We absolutely loved Del Mar. we stayed two nights at the Indigo. The location is great. Walking distance to shopping, food, and the beach. The room was very clean. The bed was ver comfortable. The hotel was quiet and in a very safe area.
Cons: The only thing remotely below what was expected would be the staff. They were not very friendly. Everyone else we met in town were great.
Pros: This city is one of the best on the west coast. The location of the hotel is great. It is close to shopping, food, and gas. The hotel was clean and located in a quiet area within walking distance to the beach.
Pros: Location and free parking
Pros: location. Staff
Cons: All was very good except the Air Conditioning unit was exceptionally loud. tough to sleep
Pros: Location and the quiteness of the hotel; great staff Enjoyed having a restaurant on the premises
Cons: I wished the king room we stayed in had a ceiling fan and we could of opened the windows for some fresh air (room 201) instead of running the air conditioner windows were sealed and could not open.
Pros: The staff were very friendly.
Cons: I was under the impression we could walk to the beach. It was advertised as being a block away. There was railroad crossing and cliff to the beach! Then told it was a 15 minute walk to beach. Was 10 block drive! Room old/smelled. Breakfast $30 a day!
Pros: Room was spacious and clean
Cons: Average rooms, loud, difficult to navigate, awful onsite restaurant.
At the Hotel Indigo® San Diego Del Mar hotel our décor and imagery of all things seafaring—and horseracing—capture the culture of our neighborhood. At what other pet-friendly hotel can you ascend a stairway where each step shares the colorful name of a famous thoroughbred that trod our local track? Our day spa offers massages wraps mani-pedis and marine-based facial therapies that heal restore and balance the skin. The Ocean View Bar & Grill serves up seaside views alongside great dishes with bread from a local bakery and beer from area favorite Stone Brewery. And while our two outdoor swimming pools are the perfect spot for a quiet afternoon we’re also close to the beautiful beach.
Cons: Very noisy because with multiple events with loud music.
Pros: Georgeous, tranquil spot that makes you feel like you are truly on vacation.
Cons: I wish the check-in time had been earlier and the check-out time had been later. There's not a whole lot you can take advantage of (pool, spa, gym, tennis, bike rides, bars, etc) between the hours of 4pm and 11am if you are only staying one night.
Pros: Very nice hotel in an ideal location. You can park your car and forget about it (or not bring one). The beach is across the street and the village (Old Del Mar) has everything you need for a long weekend stay.
Cons: The lobby and rooms are nice but the property overall feels like it could use a freshening - it's a bit dated. Small quibble though because this really is a terrific place to stay. I'll be back for sure.
Our luxury resort is located in the heart of Southern California's most picturesque coastal village of Del Mar in San Diego's North County. The resort is located on the historic site of the Stratford Inn, which eventually became the original Hotel Del Mar - a favorite hot spot for Hollywood film stars. Del Mar is also nationally known for its racetrack and fairgrounds.
Pros: The location and proximity to La Jolla and Del Mar and the ocean and stunning views and access to 5 highway
Cons: Unlike most other Residents Inn we had to repeatedly ask about coffee and when we asked about the multiple holds on our credit card for "incidentals " we were told it was a system function and they couldn't exactly explain it The pool is so small as to be useless

Pros: The resort itself is absolutely beautiful with plenty activities, some for a price. But, if you plan on exploring the city of Escondido or visiting San Diego, a vehicle is required because the resort is in a very secluded area.
Cons: Didn't like the bottom level floor/ground level of the mountain villas.
Pros: Gym is the best equipped I have ever seen.
Lots of exercise & yoga classes available
Very nice Executive golf course
Staff for most part very helpful
They really try to keep you entertained right on the premises with shows, & other activities.
The units are very nicely laid out large & comfortable
If you have kids, lots of playgrounds, slides, & pools to play in.
Overall it's the staff & the rooms that make this a very nice relaxing stay
Cons: Terrible internet connection on my laptop
Location not convenient, have to drive some distance for evening out or dinner out
Pros: Comfortable beds, spacious for our family, washer & dryer in villa, fully stocked kitchen to prepare anything, helpful, friendly staff, and most of all, Esco is a short drive (minus CA traffic) to all sights.
Cons: We are a family of 6 and stayed mid July. This was our second stay at Welk and due to a lot of noise upstairs from us last year, we requested an upstairs villa this time. They were nice about accommodating our request however, when we pulled up to the villa, parking was limited because of construction. The first night we discovered ants crawling on the kitchen counter, so I called and they sent someone over to resolve the problem(but not completely). Oh and the people below us smoked, so whenever we chose to sit on the patio we were greeted with cigarette smoke. Construction began early in the mornings and it was loud. I can't help but think it was our fault for requesting an upstairs villa and that is all they had available. We stayed for 7 days and housekeeping came once. Let's just say I never felt comfortable removing my shoes inside the villa. The kids loved the rec center and the pool, however the latter was never kept clean. I overheard a guest mention how he could actually 'see his feet' today but then pointed out everything floating on the top of the water. None of this bothered me overly much until I took my kids to the pool on a Sat night around 7ish, and encountered a group of twenty year-old girls at the hot tub, drinking, cursing, and talking very loudly about their sexual escapades. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some prudish anti-fun individual and my kids are not completely ignorant about life but what those girls discussed made even me feel uncomfortable. We were about to leave until they took their party elsewhere, but I can't help but wonder what they were doing there in the first place? Were they with family, or did Welk rent a villa to a rowdy group of individuals who wanted to party in a family environment? We will not be returning next year.

Pros: Great courtyard area for gathering after a great day. The staff! Starbucks steps away for a morning wake up call.
Pros: We lived the location and the room and the staff was accommodating. Modern design was open and fresh.
Cons: Bed was very firm, as were all pillows.
Rowdy guests were very loud into the early morning and ruined our short stay at the pool area.
Pros: Location about a 10min walk from the beach and 15-20min walk from the train. Nice facilities though on site Starbucks is very expensive (greater than airport prices).
Cons: Evening staff not very knowledgeable/communicative about area in terms of transport, restaurants, beach access. Better in the morning.
Pros: Proximity to where I needed to be.
Cons: Useless restaurant, construction in process, faux wooden floor in room (no carpet), expensive and dangerous parking.
Pros: Justin helped us when we checked in and was nice and helpful. That was all I like about it. I have stayed in other Courtyards and I was surprised by how it lacked so much compared to the other Courtyards.
Cons: The "bistro" is a small fast food type place and their idea of Starbucks is about 5 coffee drinks they make. Their hot tub sits about 4 adults and 1 fire pit.
The rooms have no thermostats to control heat/cool, so I was getting up all night trying to get the room warm. The toilet kept making a noise when flushed and when I told them about it, they didn't even apologized. For the amount I paid, I expected it to be like the other Courtyards I have stayed at. I would recommend staying at the Holiday Inn down the street, alot nicer and cheaper.

Pros: clean, new appliances. attractive decor, good bed, good price
Cons: lights too bright, pillows kinda hard (?)
Pros: The staff was very friendly, our room was very clean. Great value!!!
Pros: Nice place, clean, comfortable bed (probably the most comfortable bed of our entire California road trip), friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again. Everything about this place was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: Neighboring businesses made me wary before I checked in. It was in the search for San Diego hotels and I was booking several places so I guess I didn't double-check the map. Escondido is not staying in San Diego.
Pros: WOW, much better than what I was expecting for a Motel class establishment. Clean and tidy bathroom, room came with refrigerator and microwave standard, recently refurbished, staff (Bobby) was professional and prompt.
Pros: Clean bathroom
Cons: That it was located next to the Adult book store. That did not sit well with me.
Pros: Good value for the money. Check in and out was very easy. Continental breakfast was decent.
Cons: Rooms were very small. Furniture old and worn.
Cons: Came back to our room around 11 after going to a wedding. Our neighbors have the door wide open smoking weed and then were playing with large lighters and other drug paraphernalia in the bed. I couldn't sleep due to the fear the place would be bursting into flames. Awful. Tiny rooms, tiny bathrooms, dirty, grungy. $100 a night for this place on a Saturday. STAY AWAY.
UPDATE: after walking out of our room to check out and leave because I was so nervous. Caught of glimpse of what they were smoking with these large pipes: METH. I say this only because I made eye contact with one and their pupils were pinpoint small at 1am - it's dark so your pupils should be dilated. Could've been some other highly illegal substance- but appeared on all accounts as meth. So, good job. Door right open. The clerk simply said "you're checked out" upon us leaving.
I called the hotel and then priceline to attempt to get our money back. They could only say, "Sorry, but the hotel is non-smoking". Okay, well I'm sorry but maybe they thought that was exclusive to cigarettes? How am I reporting to you that OBVIOUSLY this was not the case hence my very upset demeanor upon checking out?
Also, rooms look nothing like the photos. Dirty, grimey, gross.
STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL AS POSSIBLE. SPEND THE EXTRA $50 TO AT LEAST FEEL CLEAN AND SAFE ELSEWHERE.
Cons: if anything the location was kinda weird with the side road, but still not a problem after back tracking
Pros: clean, basic
Cons: small, shabby outside appearrance
At Motel Mediteran Safari Park, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: Wish it was closer to beach, but can't really change that for the price. Good price value for location.
Pros: Exceptional Customer Service at all hours of the day, very helpful and honest. Great location.
Cons: Room Key cards to access hotel, room and parking are not reliable and become easily deactivated.
Pros: Loved the Pool and staff
Cons: THe traffic was Insane! Because of the county fair so getting in and out was a pain in the as$
Pros: Waitress by the pool (Lilly) was nice, the outdoor seating was nice, and the valet people were helpful.
Cons: Paid for pool view couldn't see the pool!! Shower curtain stunk like horrible mold. (Hard to even shower with the stench). Asked for late checkout they said 12:30 was the latest and then offered my Brother in law a 1pm checkout.

Cons: All of the pillows have a chemical smell to them which causes an allergic reaction to my eyes, nose and throat with burning sensation as well as runny nose and very dry, itchy throat. Also footsteps could be heard from the upper floor all evening and early in the morning. The building structures are either old or thin ceiling that I could even heard opening and closing of the dresser drawers and shower door. Very annoying!
I called out to the front desk that same evening and talked to a male receptionist about the situations and was told that nothing could be done. I mentioned it again to a female receptionist while checking out the next morning and she said she saw the note of my complaint from the previous night and will pass it on to the Manager and that I will receive a follow up phone call. It has been a week and no one has called me. So much for customer service...
Pros: The main draw was that it was pet-friendly, so we were able to bring our dogs. Not only that, but there was no extra charge!
The hotel was super clean, had a pool and jacuzzi, and hot breakfast in the morning. Very impressed! The biscuits and gravy FTW!!
Pros: The location is great. Close to the beaches and the boutique shops. The breakfast was well supplied and the staff was OK. But try Air B&B for better value. After this we found several nice places at 1/3 the cost and much better breakfasts.
Cons: Doors, shower, lights and heating were broken. Then there was a fire alarm that kept going off at midnight. The fire department showed up and checked things out but it was obvious that the alarm had issues. But the staff blamed it on pranks from kids. No Way!! That was crap. This place needs to be repaired.

Pros: Fabulous location. Private lounge chairs and private picnic tables with charcoal grills all for the guests of the motel. Two excellent restaurants right next-door. Anything else is quite a hike from the hotel. We used Uber to get around.
Pros: I like how place have stop to barbecue out side and to sit down and enjoy the out side and the ocean water..
Pros: When someone steals money from you and refuses to discuss the incident, it ruins everything. Please see the complaints section as this hotel truly impressed in its refusal to provide any form of customer service.
Cons: We had an issue with our stay, and we attempted to speak with the front desk staff about it. Our attempts were wholly ignored and dismissed. After several (truly) patient attempts to engage the front desk staff, we requested the opportunity to speak with a manager. Shockingly, the manager never acknowledged our existence. That is to say, the manager never spoke to us or met with us. Our requests were repeatedly met with excuses that the manager was "in and out" or "would get back to us" etc. This occurred not only during the time of our stay, but also when we tried to call the manager after our stay. Amazing. Ultimately, this facility stole $200 from us, and the staff and manager never made themselves available to discuss it (by phone or otherwise). Suffice it to say, I would not trust anyone at this hotel, and I would discourage anyone from staying here. The staff does not care about you and they are not aware they are in a customer service industry.

Pros: Location, loveseat, fridge, microwave. Bed comfortable.
Cons: No coffee maker in room as advertised. Alarm clock not by bed.
Pros: Cheap room price
Cons: -Rooms smell like old sweaty socks
-Uncomfortable bed, sheets and pillows
-AC/Heater that is loud and probably from the 1970's

At Escondido Lodge, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: We had to leave before breakfast started for an event. the front desk hunted down a couple of bananas for us, so our long bike ride was much more pleasant.
Pros: close to Fairgrounds for Junk Bonanza. the breakfast was amazing - hot meals rather than a donut and OJ. Balcony overlooking pool.
Cons: wish they had room service. front desk said Pizza Kitchen would deliver...they don't...had to walk for pick-up
Pros: nice hotel, convenient to hwy and restaurnants
Cons: Door lock did not work and I had to move rooms. The bathroom tub surface was pealing
Cons: Needs overall upgrading. They are starting to paint. It will be a plus. Just hope they do not stop there because the carpets really need to be replaced.
Pros: Great location. close to restaurants, track, beach, train.
Cons: They dont clean rooms well. Poor house cleaning team sorry to say.
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Horrible parking and now they charge $3 a day! Claims beach goers park in there... So tow them instead! Also the shower didn't drain well.
Pros: Nice, clean, reasonably priced. Located close to beautiful beach.
Cons: Exercise room was small and no light weights. Treadmill was warped and stairmaster didn't turn on. Also, don't have a room by the exercise room as they wake you up early.
Pros: Proximity to beach, Cedros Ave. Design district, train to San Diego.
Cons: Faint noise from floor above. No view of ocean.
Pros: The staff were very very friendly. close proximity to the beach
Pros: The staff was helpful and the location was close enough to walk down to the beach.
