Drop off was easy. I just pulled it into a space and dropped the keys at the rental desk inside the airport.Cons:
Lots of things could be improved. I reserved the car 3 weeks in advance, and had to wait an hour past the reserved pick-up time to get keys. The excuse was "we're busy." Five minutes after leaving the rental lot, various warning lights came on and remained on/off throughout our week rental. Car could have been cleaner too.4.0 Mediocre

They were nice on the phone and in the end I forgot my wallet and the called us just in time.Cons:
We call to ask about car seats, they said they take care of it. We arrived an hour earlier, se we talked about the car seats again and waited for our allotted time because there were no other cars, no problem there, the problem is that even when we showed an hour later the car was ready they dumped the car seats on us not on the car, and they knew is was 3 car seats, so that's all the luggage, all 3 kids and all 3 car seats, and if we're paying to use the car seats we do expect to see the car seats in the car not at the window, we have rented cars everywhere domestically and abroad amd that's the first time we have to pay, install and carry car seats.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
There were very few tourist on St. Thomas during the Corona outbreak. Thankfully they stayed open had sanitizer inside and outside the facility. My flight was cancelled and they made it quick and easy to extend my rental.Thrifty

The fact that I got a car. The drop off was much smoother than pick up, staff who drove us to the airport for our departure was very nice.Cons:
We showed up with lots of people waiting for cars after never receiving a shuttle ride from the airport as advertised. We then waited outside for an hour to receive a dirty car that was apparently the last one they had available. We had rented out a truck or similar car, however we’re told they do not offer that vehicle ever (we did see a truck parked in the lot). We received a dirty van that was very beat up and went on our way just happy to have received a car.2.0 Poor

Sadly, nothing. There was no car available for us as promised in our reservation. Thrifty Car Rental St John sayid that third party internet trial companies promise rental cars that they don’t actually have, so we were left high and dry. Horrible.Cons:
Thrifty never came to the airport to get us. They barely answered the phone and when they did they put us in hold and never re-answered the phone. After over an hour waiting we had to get a cab to the off airport site, and only then did they tell us that our third party “reservation” was not valid in their eyes. Thankfully Budget Rental Car in the airport had a last minute cancellation that we were able to get there...and after I got back to the airport—again on my own—was able to get that car and continue with my vacation. Avoid off-airport companies like this one!2.0 Poor

The rental car place wouldn’t even answer the phone and cancel my reservation. When I did get a hold of them they advised me to call back later and they have been overbooked and never had the car. They didn’t care was on my own.Dollar

No ac area for family, only one person is allowed in the office (makes sense during pandemic), check in takes awhile, other people have to stay outside in the heat. Staff were helpful and relatively friendly.Cons:
There were lots small roaches in the car and they didn’t have any other cars to move us into. They gave us a 7% discount to compensate, which seemed pretty measly given the unsanitary aspect of having to see and know that roaches were crawling around our stuff and possibly on us too. It was a Kia Soul which also didn’t have enough power for the steeper hills and would bottom out going over speed bumps, so for a compact SUV, it really wasn’t a suitable auto for the Virgin Islands. The shuttle driver was friendly and helpful w/ loading and unloading our bags and they were efficient w/ check in and check out. I’ve rented from Economy many times in many locations and this was my first not great experience.4.0 Mediocre

Staff was ok, it is really way below average. the first car we got, the handle/armrest on the driver side came off the door. The replacement car was even worse, has 77,000 + miles. We were not aware that there will be no road service when we took the car over to St John. We were pretty much on our own if it break down. Perhaps it was in the fine print when I reserved the car, but I do not recall seeing that.Cons:
Upfront on all these conditions to take care to St John from St Thomas. The rental agency is not very inviting and off site from airport. There is a shuttle, which is ok2.0 Poor

People are friendly. Shuttle ran frequently enough. They had the minivan I rented "in stock." Pricing seemed astronomically high but honestly I couldn't find anything cheaper for that week so I guess that makes them a good value?Cons:
The van they gave me was absolutely beat to hell, dents and scratches everywhere. Looked like all their cars were pretty beat up. In their defense, most of the cars on the island look like that. Not a big deal as long as the car runs I guess, which mine did. Just make sure you take pictures before you drive off. None of the employees was in any hurry to get anything done, although this "island time" mentality is true throughout St Thomas, so just be patient and it'll be fine. Lastly, when they picked us up from the airport they packed a TON of people from different parties in the same van and drove it with the windows up and the A/C on recirculate. Not the best COVID practice.4.0 Mediocre

Agent attempted to coordinate efforts with a different reservation we had with another company regarding the delayed pick up of an additional vehicle. Due to the extended length of time we had to wait she waived the fee to add a second driver to the reservation so we could make arrangements to get the additional vehicle.Cons:
We arrived to pick up reserved vehicle around 2:45p and did not received the vehicle until approximately 4:50. Staff did not provide updates on the status of availability of vehicle and had few to no alternatives to offer due to unavailability of vehicles. Since we were renting a minivan she could not offer an upgrade for this rental, made no offer for a discount on current or future rental. Very disappointed that the inconvenience to our group did not even receive an apology for the circumstances or any type of service consolation.Hertz

Cons:
I was never informed that the car couldn’t be taken to St John, where I was staying. That’s part of the Virgin Islands and a short ferry ride away. So I was denied rental upon arrival and then forced to find a very last minute rental from Another agency. Terrible service!8.4 Very good

Super convenient. The rental counter was right by baggage claim and the cars were across the street.Cons:
No one was at the lot when I checked in. I don't know if that is unusual. My car had a lot of exterior damage that wasn't marked on the paperwork when I checked out so I was concerned that they know it was pre-existing. I took a video of the car before I left the lot and I haven't had any issues.10.0 Wonderful
