I was bitterly disappointed when I returned the vehicle in Brisbane after hiring it for 24 hours and suddenly got charged for 2 days instead of 1. I arrived on site and the lady at reception was very friendly and understanding when I mentioned I forgot to fill up with fuel (I’m not from here and it was very stressful with the amount of traffic in Brisbane). She suggested I go and fill up down the road while she took a photo of the key holder to check me in early. At most I was an hour late, which wasn’t even mentioned at drop off. Then I received the invoice via email for 2 day's hire? Come on, I am a return client and this is how we got treated? The guy that took over when I got back was rude and wasn’t willing to hear me out when I was explaining the above. Not happy at allReviewed Sep 28 2023

The car was good, however, the girl at the counter failed to inform me that there was a cap on the km I could drive, even tho she asked me where I was heading. You would think they can easily calculate the KM in their booking system. I've requested a refund for the extra charge, under the transparency consumer laws in Switzerland. The service of the staff was excellent. He did what he could to make sure we had a car within our budget. The issue is with the 3rd party booking app. We booked a lower class car that is within our company budget and specify the location to pick up. Only to find out that the car was not available as i did the booking over the weekend. And the system was not smart enough to pick up that the car was not available at the specified location. Good thing the staff on duty that day managed to do all he could to ensure that we have a car at the right budget.Reviewed Sep 27 2023

Rented another vehicle class considering 5 passengers and a luggage, yet the vehicle class (wagon) was not available at the time of rent. Was offered way smaller vehicle and because of that, we ended up renting another vehicle to be able to fit everyone. Not what we expectedReviewed Sep 27 2023

Reserved a certain class of vehicle with Kayak, was told they didn’t have anything of that class when I showed up. Was offered the ability to upgrade to a more expensive luxury option which I didn’t need or want to pay extra for when I had already reserved a vehicle, but after standing waiting for a while and asking about comped upgrades, it became clear there really wasn’t a vehicle for me unless I paid more to upgrade. So, in the interest of not waiting longer to get on the road, I went ahead with it. I never received an updated receipt from Sixt via email upon check out or when I returned my vehicle several days ago.Reviewed Sep 26 2023
