Sixt will not let Texas residents drive out of state.
Pros: Sixt is hiding a tiny blurb on local residents driving out of state at the bottom of a huge disclaimer. Texas residents are treated as potential thieves. Do not rent from this company.
Cons: Wasted time, never rented from them.

Loved the car because it drove so smooth!
Pros: The canera was very helpful when backing up and the car drove very smooth. In fact I now want a Cadillac SUV.

Not all that great.
Pros: That you guys seem to offer the change to rent a nicer vehicle although it seems that no one ever gets the car they are told.. Not even one in a similar class.
Cons: Your automated phone system assures you that your car is there and ready for you by the start of the day. THAT IS NOT TRUE AT ALL. I showed up and had to wait to receive my car. The car i rented was given to someone who was waiting before me. THey gave me an "upgrade" that actually had a weaker drive train than what I paid for and it did not have a sunroof. The car was a non smoking vehicle THAT REEEEEEKKED of cigarette smoke. Altho they offered to swap cars, it was a huge inconvenience to head back to their only DFW location in the airport.

Cons: On last minute was informed of charges for driving out of state. I reminded her of the written policy of specified states in region but she stated otherwise for luxury vehicle.

Pros: Well maintained, low mileage vehicle. Lots of convenience features on the vehicle made it fun to drive/use.
Cons: It would be nice to have an office/branch at both airports in Dallas.

Pros: The SUV was roomy and spacious.
Cons: Didn't like the fact that the type of car promised was non-existent. You should work more closely with the rental agency to ensure selection and availability of vehicles.

Paid for Toll Tag, Didn't Get It!
Pros: Got a brand new Jag!
Cons: Paid for a Toll Tag, and they failed to put it on. When I tried to go through the automatic toll gates, I was stuck and hard to back up. Nearly caused a back up and accident. Anyway, paid for it myself, and they will not refund me the charges nor refund for the toll Tag I paid.

Pros: The staff were wonderful checking us in, very accommodating. The car ran perfectly, it wasn't terrible with gas, and drop off was insanely easy. Overall I am very pleased with Sixt and my experience.
Cons: The far back seats were cramped and took up a lot of trunk room, which we needed. I went with the big car to fit seven people plus their bags comfortably, and although we made it work, more room could have made our drives a little easier.

Bait -n- Switch! DO NOT USE
Cons: First, they booked at the wrong lot. I tried to switch, they said I had to call 800 number. The 800 number said I had to email. I got no response from that, so I called again, I had to re-book the rental at the correct lot, at a higher price and hope for a refund from the first rental. When I got there, they tried to charge an additional $280 for "young driver fee" even though the lady on the phone said that was only for Sport or Luxury Cars. I walked out. I explained all this to the 800 number during "normal business hours" the next day and was told I would get a refund. They refunded the first rental 100% - then CHARGED me more money or the second!! I disputed the charge with my credit card and told them they should pay for my Lyft rides to Hertz!!! Horrible customer service!

Pros: The car was in perfect condition, clean and easy to drive. The phone customer service is outstanding. Dropoff was easy and painless. The representative was polite and extremely friendly.
Cons: Had a tiny bit of trouble with picking up the vehicle as there was a discrepancy regarding prepayment but it was all rectified before leaving the lot. This is not, however, any reason not to go with sixt. It was still better than most transactions ive had with other rental companies.

Cons: The receipt had a Florida address on it but rented in Dallas.

Cons: Because under 25 years old, I can't rent a 7seats SUV. The service stuff said she will cancel my order but actully she didnt. I checked my back account several days later, found no money back. I called customer service phone and no one would responsible for my business!

Worst car rental company ever.
Cons: They charge the full amount of the rental immediately when you make the reservation. Then make it nearly impossible to cancel your reservation, then when you finally do, they charge you a cancellation fee of $97. Kayak should drop this vendor before suffering rating loses them selves.

Pros: I had a great experience renting a car from Sixt. The employees were super helpful and helped walk me through the rental process. The car was nice, clean and in great condition. When I returned the car the employee remembered me and was once again very kind. I will definitely recommend Sixt to my friends.

Read the fine print!!
Pros: It was easy to pick up and drop off.
Cons: I reserved a nissan and they only had a minivan. I am driving myself, not a whole family! Plus the other option was a mercedes benz but the catch was a $500 hold instead of the usua $200. I would not recommend this car company for being honest with their customers.

Cons: We booked a large SUV, Chevy Tahoe, but when we went to pick it up we were told they didn't have one. All they had were much smaller SUV.

Pros: They were polite.
Cons: Would not accept debit card that was used to originally make reservation, said actual credit card only. Unwilling to work with me. Only option was another rental company resulting in additional 1100.00 worth of charges.

Pros: Car was in great condition Staff was very helpful and polive.
Cons: They did not have the car size/class I had reserved. Instead I ended up with a large SUV at an additional cost which got half the gas mileage of the one I had reserved. Overall I would still recommend SixT if you are going to rent a car taffy

Read the fine print
Pros: I was pleased that they at least had my rental ready when I arrived. I got there about 45 min early only to find that the vehicle was on its way from the airport but it was there at the specific time I had requested.
Cons: The amount they wanted to place on hold to my credit card was at least three times the amount I prepaid for the rental online. I've never experienced that at Enterprise, Dollar, Budget, Hertz or any other rental place I've been. Maybe sixt is great, maybe its not. Ultimately I wont really ever know because I ended up driving my own car instead of renting from them. Long story short, read the fine print, ask any question you can imagine before signing or paying anything, and go with a company that keeps its fleet on site.

All good but check invoice closely
Pros: The experience was over pretty good but they tried to charge $24 extra for fuel when the car was dropped off with a full tank. After sending them an email stating the tank was full they replied saying I was incorrectly charged and credit will be applied. I'm happy with that but wonder how many people are incorrectly charged and don't catch it....

Cons: This was my first rental from Sixt and I am not at all happy with it. Its seams the word gotcha better describe this company. I made a prepaid reservation. When I made the reservation somehow I choose a wrong pick up location and when I tried to correct it then it was asking $38 to do that. I was upset and wanted to just cancel it and for that it wanted $92. I rent a car almost every week and have never seen such absurd charges. It wasn't easy to find customer service telephone number and when I finally found that and called them then there was 40 minuted hold. In business, we don't have time to play these games and don't think I will ever rent from Sixt again.

Pros: Car was new but the "premium" option which I paid for was a Volvo and not the Mercedes or BMW they advertise. The car was fine but I would have downgraded to a Toyota or Nissan had I had the choice. I thought there were a couple of strange fees. The first being a $10 fee for counter processing recovery- huh? I have to pay you to process the rental? The second was a $17 vehicle upkeep recovery. Maybe other car rental businesses factor those charges into the daily rate but I've never seen these before and I've rented many times both for business and personal use. The lower rates they advertise don't take these fees Into account so Sixt isn't as great a value. Overall the girl that helped me at the desk was very nice and I'd consider Sixt again.

Pros: The customer service rep "Mike" was very helpful. He cancelled the transaction that wasn't cancelled at the DFW Rental Center location on Dec 19th at around 3pm...and was kind enough to waive the cancellation fee. I will NEVER deal with sixt again. MIke was the only highlight of my experience...which I wouldn't have experienced if sixt had so horrendously dropped the ball...smh
Cons: non disclosure of the $499 credit deposit...That's what I was told at the kiosk...come to find out later it was just $200...there's no phone number...i took forever to find a phone number and even longer t get human being on the line. I was charged for a rental i never received...I cancelled at the kiosk...received no confirmation, no email...it didn't happen until I called in

Overall a good experience
Pros: Easy to work with. decent price. No hassles on renting and returning the car. Everything worked fine. Got the car I asked for.
Cons: Additional price per day of having my wife on the contract so she could drive as well. Toll box was also very expensive. $9.95 per day??

First time rental with Sixt and went great
Pros: Easy to find the car. The quality of the car was great. Condition of the car was perfect and like new. Dropping off the car was easy and quick.
