|Intermediate station wagon||$24/day|
|Standard station wagon||$27/day|
Pros: Absolutely nothing!
Cons: I had to cancel my trip due to the Corona Virus and they charged me for part of the rental!
Pros: I payed 25€ but returnet for me onle 9.99? Why? My flight was canseled!
Cons: Still waiting for a part of my money to be returned on my account, as I returned the car 2 days earlier.
Pros: Fast dropoff
Cons: Obligatory add on insurance not flagged beforehand
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Car i got was smaller then suppose to be.
Pros: Quoted 75 on line It was almost 2,000 with a “required” deposit
Cons: Straight forward price
Pros: The drop-off process was the only thing that was well done by Sixt in Ireland.
Cons: Travelers need to beware. This office definitely scams tourists. They will claim that a very low price for rental is available through kayak or priceline, then when you arrive they force you to take out outrageously expensive insurance. If you don't purchase any form of insurance, they call your bank account to put a hold for the price of the vehicle...Most of us obviously can't afford a >$30k hold on our accounts. I went from reserving a car for ~$40 to paying more than $200. They also claim to be upgrading your car for free (as a way of being friendly), but there isn't any actual upgrade. Lastly, they did not do an inspection of the vehicle before renting it out to us. As soon as we got into the vehicle, we saw the check engine light and the low tire pressure light. I can't express enough how disappointed I am with this experience. There should have been a description of insurance packages on kayak, rather fooling us into thinking Sixt was offering us the best rate, only to be surprised once we arrived in Dublin.
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Process was easy enough.
Cons: While not unique to this company, it would be helpful to understand the complete costs before reserving the car. Even though the upfront cost was $30, the final cost was $250 due to the necessary insurance cost. Having the potential complete costs would be helpful. Also, we reserve a midsize car but were given what seemed to be an entry level car (was the smallest car on the lot by far). Being more honest upfront would have made the experience a lot better.
Pros: The vehicle was great. The price was double what I was quoted beforehand.
Cons: To be up front on the price.
Cons: No covered place to return in the rain so we and our luggage got wet.
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Dropoff was easy but not compared to US companies. No option to get receipt and have not received yet in email.
Cons: Could have notified at time of leasing that the insurance was going to cost more than the rental of the vehicle. Again this is not the norm in US.
