My flight was delayed 2 hours they closed at midnight. I tried calling and letting them know. Informed no way of keeping reservation so I had to find other means to go home.

Picking up the car was fast and easy. The staff was very friendly and made it easy.

Cons:

I would have liked to pick up the car in Brooklyn, rather than driving out to JFK airport.

I was flying to Newark. My flight said Newark. Kayak and Expedia via Kayak booked me a car in New York. Worse, I was not able to modify it. I believe this the be an issue with Expedia and Kayak, but still. Thrifty needs to do a better job monitoring the websites that allow booking Thrifty cars.

Reservation was confirmed. I took the Air Train to the car rental location. There was a hand written sign saying they were out of cars and no reservations were being honored. They should not accept reservations if they have no cars. It was like a scene from Seinfeld! They take the reservation but they don’t HOLD the reservation.

They did not give me my rental vehicle. They said because I didn’t make the reservation 24hrs in advance, that it wasn’t valid. Left me, my wife, and 1 year old child stranded in New York. Wouldn’t rent us a car seat so we could take a taxi or Lyft. Completely cold. Worst experience.
