I didn't like that when I got to the return parking lot I had to look for someone that could receive the return, as I wanted for it to be scanned as returned, so that I can get prove that I did return it. I don't like leaving a car there with keys inside, without any prove that I return the car, I want leaving with that peace of mind. It was during business hours. Probably under staff I don't know but I didn't like the service, although the person that came to help me was nice it was not her fault I blame the management.

I called on 10/19/23 to confirm rental car pickup at Springfield airport; Avis rep confirmed airport pickup. Upon arrival I was told to pick up rental at Avis in Springfield. I had to take Uber (cost: $26.94) to Avis location in Springfield.

A Rental Confirmation doesn’t mean anything. I had 3! Count them THREE “Confirmed” Reservations and when I went to Pick Up my rental…they had zero cars available or any size or model. Nothing. Zero Inventory. So basically your reservation is first come first serve no matter what kind of bull**** confirmation number you have. Y’all are worse than the airlines.

Everything was great, car was ready, quick check out. My only issue is with the way the car insurance was handled. I paid an amount through Kayak which I found out was through a third party, which if I had an accident I would have been responsible to pay for the repairs and then would have been reimbursed through the third party. I'm sure this was disclosed in the fine print, but seems manipulative. I ended up paying an additional amount through Hertz directly, which would cover all repairs had there been damage or an accident.
