Clean hotel with good location on the canal. Small room with small bath. Could not turn around in the shower.
The location. The staff, room quality and cleanliness.
The location is near the train and bus stations and also near the vaporetto. It's a busy area, but convenient. The hotel offers free appetizers in the afternoon and great free breakfast in the morning. The single room was tiny, but it had all I needed. If you don't plan to stay in your room much, it's ideal.
Only location was good. except location, everything was pretty bad.
The location was excellent and easy to find, as was the view and breakfast.
Great location, 600 feet from train station . Old building ( this is a very old city ) but makes you feel as though you have gone back in time . Great food , service excellent. Front desk guys can be a little stuffy , but they upgraded us at no charge . Beds could be queen or king , the 2 single beds are a joke . Pushing them together is pointless. A romantic hotel in one of the best cities on earth , should have bigger beds .
The location and dinning staff. The front desk staff was arrogant and unresponsive, bad attitude......
Location Room was extremely small and had ants shower stall was about one foot by one foot no tub
View from big windows to Canale Grande
The location, close to train station and to ferry service. The good breakfast. The spacious room (a standard room) and the bathroom with a window. With reservation of "Booking.com" is not possible to dinner with price of € 25,00 as is written in the Confirmation. Please cancel it from your Booking.com confirmation because the menu of the hotel restaurant is more expensive!
Super busy location. Very handy for our early train departure on our last day. Handy to all of the water taxis too Nice breakfast in a pleasant dining room. Our double room was very large, with a high-ceiling and large bathroom with tub/shower.
When a staff brought my luggage up, I gave 1 euro, it may not be much, but I researched that you do not tip in Europe in general. Staff made sarcastic comments which was very rude. I will not go back here for this one guy, I was ripped off quite a bit in europe, so research and be firm to say "NO" when they ask for more money or tip.
When u look at this hotel from outside u see it like one of venice typical building but from inside its very trendy and luxurious. The decor is amazing. The room we had was very comfortable and spacy and the bathroom was very spacy and clean. Plus the hotel is close to guglie station waterbus to airoport. The morning breaskfast was superbe :) The most thing i didnt like was the internet service. It was very slow!! However it wasnt that big problem coz we didnt use the internet a lot.
Imaginative use of an old building, with beautiful public spaces and spacious bedrooms, first-rate facilities
Excellent location and superb view on Grand canal from my room. The room number was 103. I would really recommend it. Breakfast was rather modest. Also as some reviewer already said the hotel lacks atmosphere. It is all too silent. Interente is bloody expensive but one can use Venice connected for EUR 5 a day.
Service was good Cost of mini bar and breakfast was not freshly cooked
i liked the design of the hotel the intenal and the external and the servies of the hotel its one of the best hotels
the junior suite was very tasteful with nice size bed and room on arrival we met someone at reception who was not very pleasant but the next morning we did not have to deal with him and the rest of the staff were lovely throughout out stay. The hotel does not have a great bar facility but the setting and the food in the restaurant on the canal was excellant and matched its 5 star rating. I would stay again as it is only getting on its feet with opened only four months.
The hotel is beautiful, like staying in a museum. Having breakfast surrounded by frescoes was a unique experience I asked the front desk to help me book a train to Florence the night prior to checking out. They told me that they could not do this for me, but not to worry as the trains don't sell out anyway. Unfortunately when we showed up at the train station, the train to Florence we needed was sold out ruining our plans for the afternoon. I stayed in two other hotels on this stay in Italy and in both the staff booked train tickets for me
The hotel is beautifull, and clean A bar to have a drink would be nice. The hotel is a little far away from St Marco.
Very easy access to transport both public and private
Beautiful building, location, and room Staff did not have a very helpful or accommodating attitude, we were surprised to find out, and we had several experiences of not feeling the service was good with front desk staff particularly. Orange juice at breakfast not included and charged 14 euros a day for 2 fresh orange juices.
The facilities were beautiful. I was disappointed that we could not receive a late check out after my running of the Venice Marathon. I was told that at 1pm there were no rooms availible for a quick shower.
Exceptionally beautiful building, gracious and low-key atmosphere of tasteful opulence.
The only good thing about the hotel was the Building and its surroundings!! Have you seen the condition of theTVs??? Have you ever seen out of date old sets with fuzzy images in any luxury hotel? Or uncleared tables? Or Spider's web all around?
Very Luxury Hall Unacceptable the first room: ground floor, close to the cleaning room and baggage storage!!!! No five star treatment at all!!!!! Discounted rooms here are a fraud!!!!!!
We got upgraded to a truly palatial room.
It was absolutely amasing Too expensive and not really 5 star
I liked the location although away from the tourist area. I also liked the boat that took you around. The staff were very friendly and professional The trip to the Murano factory which was to the most expensive area. The room was also extremely hot and could not be controlled
Luxury hotel for a reasonable price. Extra services are expensive though. Nice location by canal and very quiet, but close to Vaporetto. Would have been nice with an airport shuttle service
Lovely hotel, beautiful room. We received excellent service at this hotel, I am not sure why others reviews are not complementary.
bar service never getting through to service people, old fascilities in room, bad food
Quiet location and nice garden Room not adequate for 5 star services poor
Beautiful surroundings - decor, gardens, spaciousness. Our room was very small with insufficient drawers for 2 people. Bath plug leaked and was not adequately fixed during our stay, despite repeated complaints.
Apparently an old German consulate building... An excellent location on the Grand Canal, two steps from Ca d'Oro vaporetto stop. Very comfortable room with a private patio... No view from the room- but who cares - just go up to the roof terrace and have a drink admiring one of the best views in Venice. Friendly staff... Good brieckfast.. Good choice. Almost nothing - just a few bulbs and bits and pieces in the room need to be taken care of.
The central location. Friendliness and efficiency of staff. Had to pay for use of tea and coffee bags in the room.
excellent room (although upgraded), very nice position, nice and helpful staff. Breakfast a bit modest, especially the coffee.
Location, cleanliness, breakfast variety, helpful and friendly staff
The Space and comfort of the rooms Breakfast could have been better
Easy to find, good facilities, good price, breakfast is really good. Room is a little bit dark. No wifi in the room.
The standard of the hotel and its location suited us perfectly
views of venice and again very nice hotel and staff
Having a room that overlooked the canal allowed for the unique ability to observe the busy canal crossings and food market business from above. The room was very comfortable and sound-proof, and the hotel had an excellent placement for shops and sightseeing.
Official, serious atmosphere, but courteous reception, neat & very well dressed receptionists, and appropriate attire of other staff, well decorated entrance of the hotel; restaurant ambiance very good, chef very good food, staff friendly, elaborate choice in breakfast, rooms were very comfortable and spacious, luxurious bathroom & spa. Reception desk staff- could be more friendly and eager to help, should have spent more friendly time to orientate the guests, and take extra time to explain the facilities available--they had a more reserved attitude, didn't see openness. Could have more choices in the dinner menu.
The Foscari Palace was a wonderful hotel right on the Grand Canal. We had a lovely room with complimentary water and fruit bowl and incredible breakfasts in the morning. The hotel staff were really friendly and on the Saturday night there was a free cocktail evening with drinks, nibbles and a harpist. There is a gondolar ferry stop right outside the hotel, so very easy and cheap to cross the canal. When we revisit Venice, we will always stay at the Foscari Palace, it really made our holiday very special. Not applicable
Did not get a room facing the main canal. Beware that when you book they may put you in a room not facing the canal
The Hotel is very central and yet quiet. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the courtyard. We believe that the room we were in, which was on two levels, needs the stairs between the levels repairing. They creaked extremely loudly whenever we went up or down them.
Breakfast was great and the location was very good. The room was very small and the bathroom didn't have a shower curtain.
Neighborhood and traditional Venetian decor and ambience. Access with luggage difficult and somewhat expensive.
Everything was clean and the service very good. The bed was upstairs, bathroom first floor; this is not very convenient specially durind the night.
value for money
The hotel was central located, quiet and clean. Unfortunately this is not a four and a half star hotel!!! by neither standards! the rooms are not up to that standard, breakfast is not either, internet is poorly working; only the price is 4.5 stars; also using the pool in the garden is possible only for 5 euros per day...
The internal breakfast area is wonderfull The rooms we´ve got were to small
The Hotel Giorgione was in a fantastic location to see the major sights in Venice. We arrived by water taxi - it may not be so convenient if you intend to arrive by public water bus. Breakfast was lovely - served in a lovely quiet and pretty courtyard. All in al,l we had a superb long weekend stay in Venice.
Complimentary iced tea every afternoon for guests. Location very convenient to Rialto. No free wifi. Front desk staff were sometimes unfriendly.
it has good location, you can reach by water bus or taxi from airport, rooms are very small.... rooms very small and should have more vegetarian food options ....
your wellcoming and friendly staff in general and Leila your receptionist in particular
The staff is fabulous - professional; gracious; welcoming; informative. The rooms are decorated in the true Venetian style. The location is charming - a quiet neighborhood; easy access to 2 vaporetto stops; easy to walk to most locations; and the excellent Osteria Giorgione restaurant [we ate there 3 out of our 4 night stay! We will likely be staying at the hotel, for all return visits.
Rooms, location Breakfast, very bad internet conection which was not free
Excellent service by very professional staff who were extremely helpful with all our needs. We had special religious needs on Saturday and the staff was very cooperative. The atmosphere was very special in this boutique hotel in Cannareggio area of Venice on the canal. Absolutely peaceful and serene atmosphere that made us forget all everyday concerns. We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again this summer when we return to visit Venice.
Everything was perfect. The staff was very professional, the room was incredibly comfortable and had a consistent oriental style; the breakfast was basic but of the greatest quality. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Venice, but this is good if you like a bit of peace and quiet.
Excellent all round
Nice room, quite large for Vinece, clean and comfortable. we spent our hooneymoon there - everything was fine. we loved the district and osteria near the hotel the hotel blocked the deposit on the credit card in 3 days before our arrival.
Very helpful staff Charging up to €8.00 for internet access is excessive, given the cost of staying in this hotel.
rooms excellent character drinks in bar too expensive
Situated in a more residential part of town - but only 10 - 15 min walk to all main attractions this hotel was awesome. Staff were ridiculously friendly. Place is like a 5 star hotel. Completely renovated - all high tech switches in the rooms. Extremely cheap for what you get. Will be only place I stay in Venice from now on! Nothing
Friendly staff, nice & cosy room, close enough to most of the interesting locations and happenings (walking distance), but far enough from it for a good night sleep.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Ai More d'Oriente for 4 days and 3 nights in December 2014 and loved it. Here's what we loved: LOCATION - The location was perfect... close, easy access to the vaperatto's (Venice's water taxis) as well as a short walk to the city center. STAFF - The staff was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. AMENITIES - Free wi-fi and breakfast. ROOMS - Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated rooms. The rooms are small but 1. that's to be expected in Europe and 2. We didn't come to Italy to stay in the room so the size wasn't an issue for us. Overall we felt we got an excellent value for what we paid. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The breakfast was a typical European breakfast. The coffee was excellent but the food options were not to our liking. However, it I free so not a big deal for us.
staff kindness, excellent position, large, comfortable and very well equipped room, large bathroom, good continental breakfast included in price. a bit difficult to read being in bed (bed light power)
The location was perfect. Convenient for restaurants, bars etc but away from the the touristy busy areas near the Grand Canal.
Very clean, brand new (renovation), super quiet, away from tourist hotspots. Very comfortable bed with a nice firm mattress. Separate toilet/bath. For its category the breakfast buffet could have offered a little more variety.
Very clean & spacious. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Although a short walk to centre of Venice & St Mark's square, it was nice to be outside main tourist area - quieter, local restaurants excellent / cheaper, nice walk in to centre.
The hotel is a contemporary renovation of a very old building, it is very aesthetically pleasing. The bar was small but comfortable, staff very helpful. Ample breakfasts for ever hungry teenagers.
I did not like the fruit juice at breakfast - it was watery and tasted artificail.
Quiet location. Good price. No restaurant.
our stay was very nice. it was in a nice part of venice, quiet but close to all the action. the room was great and the staff were always so helpful in anything we needed. the food was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Nice location in the ghetto of Venice Very expensive internet. Staff not always helpful or friendly. Rooms are very dark.
The location was very good, very clse to the vaporetto stop and all members of staff very helpful.
Peaceful and well serviced Lack of hot drink making facilities in the rooms
Excellent customer service & superb location. Hotel seamlessy blended both modern and classical fixtures & fittings. Some building work going on outside hotel and was sometimes noisy.
We felt the hotel was well located but out of the crowded area and quiet. It was nice to come back to after sightseeing during the day. i felt the internet service could have been better.
What we liked most about our stay was the ease with which we found the hotel, in fantastic walking distance of all the monuments we had mapped out for ourselves. The room was spacious, clean and lovely. We checked in early and the room was ready for us regardless. The staff were pleasant and professional.
Ideal position for seeing the sites but in a quiet non tourist area. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
very difficult to find
An excellent hotel in a brilliant location
location,friendly staff,nice room,good breakfast
Comfortable bed and bath room. Kind staffs. Good location. Enough breakfast. I enjoyed very much. Windows are not wide, so that a not well-lit room.
This was our last booking on a three week trip and it is off the beaten path which is nice as there are WAY less tourists than in other parts of Venice, but it is still close to everything. The staff was amazing and the breakfast and afternoon happy hour was a treat. Our room looked beautiful. While our room "looked" beautiful, it was anything but. The bed was possibly the least comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the pillows were like 2 inch foam. As is normal with old buildings in Venice, there is some settling but the floors in this room were drastically slanted. Everything smelled of mildew which some say is typical for Venice but this was my third trip in a variety of old hotels in Venice and I have never smelled that before. Additionally, each room (living room and bed room) had a variety of electrical control panels on the walls that were ridiculously confusing, especially when you just want to turn off a lamp.
It was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and had excellent 'in room' facilities and breakfast buffet.Great location in quiet back street, but close to everything you need. My only grumble would be that the air-conditining unit in my L-shaped single room was right by the door, and so completely ineffective. As a result it was very hot in the room.
staff, room and location Nothing
My son and I arrived earlier than check in, but the staff was very pleasant and helpful and let us leave our bags so we could go explore Venice. The person helping us even suggested a route on a map so we could avoid all the crowds due to the Festival of St Mark. Location was fantastic. Breakfast options were plentiful!
Central Location Very nice lobby Bed was not comfortable Very limited facilities
Location was great and Silvia and Patrick were amazing with our family. My wife has celiac and they accommodated her. Breakfast was amazing was a great experience and would love to recommend to anyone that is going. Can't say a bad thing
The ambiance the location the price couldn't be better.
The location was great, and the staff was eager to please. There were a lot of maintenence issues. When we got into our room, we noticed that the telephone, refrigerator and one of the wall lights did not work. The staff tried very hard to remedy the situation, but failed. To make up for the problem, they moved us into a new, larger suite. But after settling in to the new room, we found out that the air conditioner, and shower valve were not working. They had a plumber come in to fix the shower valve, but the air conditioner remained broken, and we were forced to open up some windows to get cool air into the room.
breakfast was excellent, close to train station, close to canal, close to downtown, very nice, clean, comfortable ask questions of desk staff acted like they really didn't have time to be bothered to answer my questions.
Style, comfort, service, breakfast, wi-fi. Nice fabrics cover room walls. All marble (walls and flooring) bathroom. Although room size was 14 x 11, it was very comfortable. Good quality beds, matress and linnings. Only problem is bathroom with sewer smell, but this is a common issue in Venice.
The hotel offers rooms that are comfortable and conveniently located. It's very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The best part? Some of the rooms have bathtubs! After showering in the world's smallest showers across Italy, it was fantastic to be able to take a bath. Nothing. It was perfect for me.
We spend two nights in this hotel. The room was not clean and was very small and smelly. there was not even room for luggage in the room. The worst part was on the first night hotel fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate our room. There was only one staff working at night and he didn't know what was the issue and the alarm was on for the whole night. He couldn't confirm if it was a false alarm and we could go back to our room safely! so we had to stay up in hotel lobby for the whole night!!! What bothered me most was hotel manager didn't show up at all and he didn't even sent anyone to help that one staff. Even the next day when I ask to have a chat with hotel manager they said he doesn't have time for this and I can write a letter to him!!! They didn't give us any compensation for ruining our holiday and I found the manager very rude.
Easy to access train station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Right off the Main Street so it was very noisy
Location No courtesy. Very uptight Won't give an extra map next day.
During heavy rains and rising waters in St. Mark's Square we relocated here from our hotel so we wouldn't have to drag our bags through the water to make an early am train. We did not expect luxury or pampering. The price was right and the proximity to the sl train station and vaporetto was perfect. The staff treated us cordially and fair. There is no elevator. If you have trouble with steep stairs, this is not the hotel for you. The lobby area (where the internet reception is best) is positively filthy. No room safe.
It had a perfect location to the station/bus station and also the centre of Venice. Room was very big, but shower was small.. the bathroom was abit small - but it was good..
Great location, price and staff. Ideal for first-time solo travelers. N/A.
Despite the room was single, it was large and cosy. The breakfast was not so rich, but fresh and delicious.Location-excellent. The problem with mosquitos.
excellent position, very next to the train station. (in Venice this has the greatest value!) I would have appreciate to have little bit warmer bed covers, due to the autumn temperature.
Service straight from the heart by very attentive staff. Beautifully restored 16th century palace with lots of character Nothing at all
The building and the location are fantastic, one of the nicest buildings I have stayed in.
The staff were fantastic, very helpfull and friendly. The room was exactly what we expected. Will return there again on our next trip to Venice.
Tha Palazzo is simply breathtaking, it truly is a palace. Very historical yet comfortable and inviting. Silvana met us as our water taxis landed with a huge welcoming smile and kindness. She is truly what made our stay so sensational... she is the essence of the Palazzo, we were wondering if she ever left, she was always available. That we eventually had to leave.
The friendly service and comfortable surroundings.
Most welcoming, accommodating and helpful staff Beautiful rooms and decoration Enclosed garden with breakfast served outside and impressive waterfront access Air conditioning in bedroom room not really powerful enough to cope with the extreme temperatures in July August
The hotel is quite exceptional, combining grandeur and intimacy; wonderful architecture, exceptional breakfast, very quiet and spacious rooms and an excellent location off the tourist track.
Beautiful building in excellent, quiet location. Tasteful rooms. Friendly, felt like being a personal guest. Lovely courtyard garden.
Everything, beautiful building, helpful staff, great breakfast. No.
Just great Price
Friendly and helpful staff, somewhere to leave your bags before and after your stay, small courtyard garden, excellent location close to the station, sound of the nearby monastery bells, reasonably priced drinks in the very comfortable bar No
Staff at front desk very helpful and friendly the breakfasts! Hard-boiled eggs were soft-boiled and surprised many guests when they cracked them open. Croissants were burnt, coffee was put out in glass pitcher, not heated and tables were cleaned very slowly, a real disappointment.
staff were helpful and efficent, the location was excellant to train station etc. breakfast room could be cleaner, bedroom needed to be dusted more attention to detail required
Hotel Abbazia is just two minutes away from Santa Lucia train station, and the Ferrovia vaporetto (water bus) station is even closer. You can catch a ride on the vaporetto from there any time day or night to San Marco or anywhere you want, or you can just cross the "Ponte dei Scalzi" on Canal Grande and walk your way from there. The hotel entrance is tucked away inside a small alley, and you might have to ask for directions if it is your first time in Venice, but it should be easy for you to find. As for the hotel itself, it is really a charming hotel, and the staff, lead by the manager Alvise Vianello, are the friendliest and most charming staff you would ever counter. The are welcoming and accommodating that you'd feel right at home when you are there. The room itself was very nice and well maintained, it is of a good size, and has all the needed amenities. The bathroom was also clean and of a good size. The hotel also has Wi-Fi and it's free of charge for the guests. The breakfast was basic, and actually was of the widest varieties that we've experienced in our 6 cities Italian adventure, but again, breakfast is not exactly Italy's biggest export. We loved our stay in the hotel Abbazia, and we loved the kindness of its staff, and if we ever went back to Venice, I'd make sure to stay there again. The shower handler was broken, but it was not really an issue for me.
The hotel staff were wonderful-extremely friendly-they treated us like we were at a five star hotel-they took our bags to our rooms and any time we needed anything they brought it to our room immediately, I Love this hotel. The Breakfast was super! The location is just a quick 2 minute walk from the train station. they even told us a back way to get there so that we didn't have to use the stairs in front of the train station. I was travelling with my freinds and my mother and we had a blast. Mirko at the front desk was so great-we all want to go back to just to see him-well and to shop too! You must stay at this hotel! The newer the rooms-the supperior ones-are beautiful-wood beams on the celing and a jucuzzi tub . super hotel They do not have elevators-I was travelling with my mother who could not go up and down stairs , But they made wonderful accommodation for us and gave us a bigger room on the bottom floor.
The reception staff were fantastic.
The building archetecture suggested it had been a part of a monastery joined to a large church nextdoor with lots of bells. The bells do ring. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard that our room looked onto. The room was clean and nicely furnished. Your information should note the hotel does not have an elevator. Hotel staff carries luggage to your room, however.
Friendly staff, we stayed there to be near the bus / train station for an early start. Clean comfortable rooms.
We were promised that the bathroom door would be fixed and this never happened which was dissappointing.
The hotel is perfectly located (close to the train station and to the bus station, making it convenient for a city-trip) and on walking distance from the city-centre. Staff is quite helpful and very nice.
badly restored once beautiful palazzo. cheap furniture, small bathroom. poor breakfast, especially croassants. moody waitress. too expensive for what it is.
extremely poor breakfast, fried eggs were not fresh ((((
The quiet location was perfect with all the major attractions of Venice within easy reach. The staff were excellent from the welcome on arrival to booking a taxi for our final departure, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was first class and the ambience and quality of the hotel helped to make our stay, every thing we hoped for.
Very good breakfast, and there was a free use computer that enabled e-mail comms if needed 24 hrs / day. The staff were very helpful. It is in a quiet area but close enough for seeing the sites.
Very good hotel. Nice staff, pleasant interior in Venetian style, clean rooms, quite good location. During our stay the air conditioner went out of work in our room, and the hotel was fully booked. They proposed to change the room only the second day, so the first night was very hot ((
Our room was very small in fact claustrophobic. It certainly did not appear to be value for money!! Also there are very thin walls between each room. One morning we were awake very early because the people in the rooms next door were talking and it was possible to hear everything that they were saying!!
We thought the hotel was lovely, the staff were really pleasant and the location for us was great, close to everything but one street back meant no noise overnight. We were upgraded as it was a birthday celebration which was a really lovely touch no
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is in a nice quiet area, so it is a great place to relax after sight-seeing in crowded Venice! Our room was very clean and comfortable.
The hotel was clean and located close to main road. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was construction next door but not with the hotel. It started at 8:30 a.m. and ended at normal hours. It wasn't that and won't last forever.
The staff were very helpful and polite. Location excellent. Also very clean
The location is very good since you have in the middle of island and have access to everywhere you need to go, Staff were very friendly and supportive, very small and cozy lobby, excellent breakfast, fresh and clean. This was my first trip to Venice but i will choose the same hotel for sure. the mattresses needed to be changed in a short time.
Location was great for access to Venice shopping and restaurants. Hotel was very pretty. Free breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed every aspect of our stay.
The friendliness and helpful staff of the hotel.
Very silent and clean The staff was very unfriendly; especially at the reception desk
Fabulous location, could walk everywhere. Next to Station and only a couple of minutes from Piazza Roma. Lovely decor and rooms furnished in typical Venetian grandeur. Breakfast was good for this level hotel. Air conditioners not operating in rooms. Staff while helpful were not very friendly, not the reception staff or the breakfast staff.
Very close to the train station. If you like hot showers this might not be for you. I showered at various times 7am, 9am and 3pm and the temperature was constant but only just warm enough to shower.
I would definately go back to Hotel Belle Epoque, its a lovely antique hotel and our room was spacious and very different to anywhere we have stayed before
The good location, which is very close to train station and the main garages in the city.
very nice interior design,(venetian style) especially the restaurant, little but nice room there is a two big problems :1. heating system make noise all night and you can't stop him (you must drink serious for a good repose). 2.water smells of "canaletto sea-water" only in this hotel in Venice (we change hotel next day and this problem disappeared !)
Convenient location near train station and nice hotel staff. Old and dusty maybe.. Didn't seem as clean as one would hope.
Really beautiful hotel, top class, ideal location, close to shops, pharmacy, eating areas, main ferry point and gondola rides, station. breakfast was nice. Double bed was two single beds put together. A little on the expensive side but its Venice.
great location.being able to sit outside on balcony overlooking grand canal shower not good enough for any room let alone superior room
The proximity to the center of Venezia
Room was a lovely size and better in real life than appeared in the photos. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Location was fantastic and price very good considering this! Could have done with some music or tv in background during breakfast - very silent especially as we were often only people eating.
The view from the balcony was excellent and the bedroom one of the best we have ever stayed in.
It was better than being home. Incredibly sincere and friendly dialogue with hotel staff. Nice hospitality.
The owner was very helpful and had excellent restaurant recommendations! Our room had a wonderful view of Rialto bridge and the Grand Canal...with a balcony just steps outside our door. Thank you!!
It was a lovely place to eat breakfast on the water each morning and very close to the train station. We had a room on the 4th floor without an elevator. Such is the nature of old buildings in venice.
Hotel is situated near the railway station, comfortable, good breakfast.
Breakfast was very good. The internet did not work in the room.
The location Room small, old and not what we expected for + $ 250.00 per night.
The room are very comfort. I got the free upgrade to the canal view room that make me so surprise and enjoy. Breakfast are good too. Location are find. Just the reception can be better, because the way they talk is not so friendly.
Location was great. Near train station. Excellent breakfast. Last night room next door was beyond rude and loud. Not hotels fault but walls were noticeably thin with loud jerks next door.
We were fortunate to have our window 'overlook the canal(had requested it). Great view, great breakfast
Our room was very comfortable and spacious overlooking the Grand Canal. The divan for our third adult was not as big as a regular single bed size.
great location, good service hotel look great until you get to the room. bathroom needs to update.
The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure that our needs were met. The immediate neighborhood was interesting enough with plenty of places to shop and eat, and it was very easy and inexpensive to get to other areas of the city by vaporetto (water bus). The bed and bathroom were comfortable, and the breakfast was nice. The waterfront tables made it nice to sit and enjoy the view of the Grand Canal and water traffic.
Inclusive buffet breakfast Very old & tiny room with NO showers!
Hotel located near the bus area (to get to the airport).Hotel located in a good area of Venise. The noise but I assume every area in Venise is "noisi"
The breakfast was the only good thing about the Amadeus hotel, the staff were unhelpful, the room too small and dirty and the bathroom was so small as to almost be unusable Poor service - staff would not even come to room, air conditioning did not work, water would not drain from bath, bathroom and bedroom were dirty and too small
Excellent location. Room and bathroom were adequate for our needs. Breakfast was very good with a very good range of food on offer. Not a bad place to stay but as with most Italian hotels we stayed in, I wonder how they achieved a 4 star rating. A couple of dismissive and unhelpful front office staff. No restaurant. Couldn't get a cup of coffee at the bar unless we paid cash, ie. couldn't put it on the bill for the room. And just plain closed one night. We thought we might get a last minute ticket to the Opera but travelling, our clothes were crushed. Could we borrow an iron? No, fire regulations forbid it. OK, fair enough. Did they have an ironing room? No. Could they arrange to have our clothes pressed? No, it's Sunday, bring them down tomorrow? That'll be handy for the Opera tonight. Whole hotel was overheated and could not be cooled because "it was November and the air conditioning is turned off in October and heating turned on". Fortunately the windows opened, even if it was occasionally noisy.
After a very bad first night at a hotel near Rialto bridge, we were very pleased to be welcome at Amadeus; we were allowed to check in before the normal check in time, which was extremely convenient for us as we had luggage. The personnel at the reception was very helpful and welcoming. If ever visiting Venice in the future I will certainly make a reservation a t Amadeus. Thanks and keep up the good work Nothing particularly
There was easy access to shopping and transporation. Hotel staff was not very friendly or courteous. I expected a more luxirious environment, online advertisement of facility was misrepresented.
The location is very good (near the rail station) for us who needed to leave very early (6am) the last day. They gave us a bag with breakfast goods since breakfast started at 7am. A very good value for money for us (March 07), but the same hotel for June has doubled the price!! One of the 3 days there was no hot water in the whole Hotel, so we could not take a shower. However this was fixed during the day (it was Sunday).
comfortable quiet room
Comfortable elegant hotel. Very good breakfast. Nice garden. Room very quiet and spacious despite being in busy street in Venice. Being close to the station makes handling luggage and final dash for the train much easier. Nothing
