We liked everything about the Le Meridien Vienna and would certainly stay there again.
Location and hotel staff style of the hotel
The location is perfect, the staff is friendly, breakfast has good varieties. Nothing to mention
The breakfast was amazing and the decorations also the reception and the cleaning Thank you very much .. From kuwait Nothing .. Every thing was fabulous
The room was very good, it was very comfort and the location was perfect we want to have a dinner, we wait so long to the bar because they couldn’t arrange it to serve to all the guests, after we sit on the table for having dinner, nobody came to serve us. This was very unprofessional
The restaurant of the hotel is excellent I have stayed in this hotel many times. This time I saw scratched and not properly cleaned floor of the room, missing shower caps and sewing kits, lack of prompt replenishment of tea and coffee in the room...
Very nice modern interior
fantastic service, furnishings, and location.
Le Meridien is one of the finest hotels I have stayed in. The room was large, beautifully appointed and the staff could not have been more helpful. The location is fabulous with the Albertina art gallery, museums and the Opera House within a couple of blocks of the entrance. I would absolutely recommend this premier hotel to everyone! Nothing
Rooms are very comfort no nothing
Location Cleanliness of your room
Rooms were comfortable, large and clean, bathroom was spacious with both shower and a bathtub which was great, location is excelent, the staf was pretty helpful. Breakfast, although very expensive, was excelent! At arrival we were told that we were already pre-charged by booking.com and cannot have the bill which we needed for a company. This was strange since in past experiences, booking.com was only for booking and I would be charged directly on the spot. After talking to a manager, receptionist told us that he could give us the bill afterall. Wellness did not work (besides fitness) which was one of the main reasons for booking Le Meridien. Minibar was complimentar but contained only: 2 waters, 2 colas and 1 beer?!!!! I would rather pay than have such a poor choice! I realice you can call room service and order, but I personaly do not like that and I find it disturbing. Also, maid managed to come in in my room twice in the same morning, once I was half naked - I hoped 5 star hotel had a sistem of checking if anyone is still in the room or at least knocking... And at the end, breakfast was 29 EUR, and there is only public garage which you have to pay.
Nice rooftop restaurant with a good view of the city, and the staff is polite and attentive to your needs. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They do not have a dedicated concierge, and front desk staff was poorly trained and equipped to provide the customer service you would expect of a concierge. In the concierge capacity, they are neither proactive to support their guests, nor do they have the knowledge or experience to meet the needs of their guests Also, the window shutters in the rooms do not effectively block out light when you are trying to sleep.
Location was great. Hotel was beautiful as was the room.
It is hard to say just one thing about this fabulous hotel. . . it is superior in every regard. The staff are exceedingly gracious and helpful, so service is superb. The food is beyond delicious, so it is a gourmet's dream. The rooms and hotel decor in general are absolutely gorgeous. . .I can't begin to enumerate all the wonderful touches in the bathroom alone. . .so a designer would feel at home. But I must mention cleanliness. . . it is immaculate. Also, the business center was terrific-- computers (with printers) at your fingertips, easy to use and incredibly convenient. One can hardly do better than to stay at the Grand Hotel Wien. It made our vacation even more memorable. There was not one thing negative to say about this excellent hotel.
Rooms are fairly large for European standards and the location is great. The bed is fairly good and the bathroom game is strong. Found the overall staff service to be lacking. Concierge typically jumps at opportunity to provide service/advice but not here. For the most part, the hotel bars and restaurants are over-hyped and completely over-priced with much better alternatives just a few steps away (both quality and price). Smell of stale smoke hits you just as you enter the building - thanks to a smoking lounge conveniently located on the second level. Hotel wifi is a total joke and not to be relied upon. Hotel includes restricted wifi with your room rate and asks ridiculous payment for slight improvement. In my experience even budget accommodations provide this service infinitely better. Overall, this is a stuffy hotel situated for the stuffy traveler. Sounds of enjoyment or laughter are non-existent in common areas, which speaks volumes. Call yourself luxury, and pay for memberships in luxury hotel associations all you want - it doesn't make it so.
lovely atmosphere in hotel, clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff
Location was outstanding and facilities were very impressive. A storm blew through one night and something outside swinging and banging in the wind awakened us. Called the front desk around 1 am and was told they would look into it, but the banging continued and we were not called back.
We loved everything about the Grand. The hotel staff were friendly and responsive. The location was superb and the hotel itself beautiful. Our room was sumptuous with a huge bathroom, closets, and all the amenities. Internet access in the rooms was free as was the fitness center. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel, but we ordered several dinners from room service and they were delicious and an excellent value.
The location was perfect! We really don't have any complaints other than we would have liked the hotel bar to have been able to make a proper margarita.
Fantastic location, very helpfull and nice staff, beatufull room and bathroom. I missed prospect about Wien, maps and other turistic material in lobby or in bell desk. Also I think that breakfest should be included in price of the room. We are not in America.
Outstanding service NA
Wi-Fi is available everywhere. The business room downstairs is very convinient. You can even use a printer free of charge. Wanted to stay longer. Breakfast is too expensive (31 euros per person), and items within a room mini bar are also expensive. The bathtub and the shower are not well aligned and the water runs through the rim to the floor. Else, everything is perfect.
breakfast was limited vs. other LHW hotels
Had a rest no
Excellent rooms, excellent service, prime location.
Comfy beds and friendly staff The fan in the lavatory did not work. The wardrobe units looked a bit basic for a luxury hotel, though they were functional. The food in the restaunant was disappointing fior the price. Ambitious but not very tasty.
spacy room with high ceiling, modern applaiences, excellent position toward city express breakfast for 20 euros is rediculas, dirty carpet in elevator,
Good locations, relaxed atmosphere, the room was in perfect condition, no sign of wear One day the Internet didn't work, but few hours later it worked perfectly.
I liked very much the room service, and the room
The rooms were clean and the hotel staff were very friendly. Also, the location of the hotel is almost perfect, where you can go to most of Vienna's main attractions just by walking distance.
very friendly service!!!
Ladge soft bed! Nice rooms. Receptionists were very helpful and friendly. Breacfast was too expencive and menue was difficult to understand.
Style, cleanness, comfort The breakfast in't reach for choose.
Central location excellent for "classical. Vienna". Concierge's recommendations excellent. The hotel is by no means cheap, but well worth the expense. Don't bother with the Vienna hop on hop off bus tours. Better to do classical Vienna on foot and go to Schoenbrunn on the U bahn
Staff was friendly and attentive. The fact that there was not free internet and worse than that the charge was per device. it should be per room if anything.
Beautiful room and attentive staff. Can't think of anything I don't like about the hotel.
We were upgraded to an excellent room.
our room was very comfortable and lovely looking - of course I wish there had been a view, but even without it we liked the room
pure old world luxury
Enjoing in Sachers Lobby and Coffe and Tea bars (Green room especially), excelent breakfast and finally in our room. everithing was ok
location, interior smokers room
Fantastic location to all amenities. Beautifully furnished, relaxing and staff so pleasant & helpfull. Food amazing! Thought the breakfast was a little expensive in comparison with lunch & dinner
Incredible hotel, attention to detail and service was impeccable and the design of the rooms elegant but also highly functional and comfortable. Right in the middle of everything but with a quiet park across the street you feel a bit tucked away, we honestly spent more time in the room than we probably should have...!
They have relatively small rooms. The amenities are good but the staff is not very friendly or helpfull. They are rather stuck up and obnoxious. The concierge is manned by the back office and sometimes it takes them a while to arrive. They are not in possession of a lot of information they should have at their fingertips. The breakfast is wonderful. Large selection etc. Had dinner there also but the selection is poor expensive and portions are small. See above
Hard to pick up something I liked, maybe the LCD in the room or the location. Total mess in invoicing+guarantee made by a trainee at the beginning : fully paid accomodation + one person breakfast, I was retained for full guarantee accomodation + 2 persons breakfasts !!! thus waisting my credit card allowance. Plus that the final verification invoice was including another significant balance - another trainee ! - everything was finally cleared (that is I hope, at least !) by the manager in line, Cornelia. Thanks, Cornelia. So, be aware of front line trainees at Intercontinental Vienna !
nice bed pay for internet, no swimmingpool
The concierge service was very cooperative from the moment I made the booking. The front desk was equally efficient.
The staff was very helpful, the bar excellent and the food unsurpassed both for quality and value. Beds were good and location the best.
Staff was helpful. Big welcoming lobby. Very small rooms, and they need to be renovated. Old furniture, the bathroom was tiny.
room needs maintenance, very expensive comparison of what you get..
Limited Gym facilities
elegant clean historic building... pleasant unobtrusive personel
This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Outstanding service and everyone makes you so welcome even though we were only staying for one night.
The beauty of the public areas and the room.
i liked the point that i have lived those nights in a more than 150 years old building, hotel imperial is a perfect gate for a tourist to live the old vienna no complaints
The stay was made great with the excellent staff and their service. NA
we like the position, the service was very good ,very clean, very good restaurant.romantic also.we will go again
calling from the hotel is to expensive,i made two calls to my friend in austria and my bill was 450- dollar for maybe 40 minutes, thats grazy
Gorgeous hotel accentuated in red, gold and marble. Fitting for royalty. Excellent service for the most part. Nicest hotel I have had the pleasure of staying at. Concierge wasn't the most friendly. Would have loved a pool/ jacuzzi option. Understand it's a non traditional request, but it would be a nice addition.
Superb staff Great garden restaurant for breakfast and lunch Excellent location
Outstanding staff, very good modern food and Austrian wine, very good clean room. Excellent value for money.
Five stars??? Big mistake. Hotel very nice, staff friendly, good brekfast but maximum 4 stars.
I liked breakfast, having iMac in the room with extra fast internet, spa and location. It is reeeealy good place for money paid.
It is a good hotel in a very good location. It is an old hotel but was tastefully renovated and the amenities were very good.
The beautiful view on St. Stephen's cathedral Some facilities (esp. in the bath room) are a little outdated and would need renovation.
Absolutely brilliant staff, really polite, responsive and helpful.I was also very pleased with the room. *Poor breakfast ( almost to unexpected degree) can ruin the stay of a guest with high expectetions for a design hotel. *Bathroom does not offer/include slippers, and that creates a negative impression (pertinent to the comfort critiria) for a type of a design hotel.
Good location, near to the public transport and a centre of Vienna.
Staff wonderful - helpful, efficient & friendly Would highly recommend Das Triest Hotel for couples/ friends
ALL WAS EXCELLENT. THE PRICE OF BREAKFAST.
Everything. Attention to detail , staff amazing, rooms beautiful, food excellent Nothing
We found a fabulous price on Kayak. We would not have stayed at the Ritz at their normal rates. It was a terrific value for us.
The overall ambiance of the hotel evolked elegant Vienna - exactly as we were hoping for. Staying across the street from the Opera was fantastic! Would like coffee included in room
The suite was wonderful, and we had excellent room service. So while we lived in a luxurious suite, I felt at home because of the history of the hotel and the way it was preserved and still alive. Actually, I whish they would not play modern music - not even music I might enjoy - in such a fabulous, historic setting as the lobby. First impressions are important.
I had laudry picked up by hand friday 16:30 P.M. and as it was not returned saturday afternoon as promised I went to the reception about 10:30 P.m and asked what had happened. Nothing came of that however until I went to the reception sunday morning and asked for it again. The laundry was then returned, unwashed and just tossed on the bed without any explanation or an i-am-sorry-note. Checking out half an hour later nobody mentioned anything about it at all either. Deplorable.
Old world charm with modern facilities, good service, good location
bathroom and sanitory equipment out of order as well as heardryer
very quite rooms, The room service was poor, not all the staff for the bathroom was delivered, and it would be advisable to pay more attention on duty performance of roomservice staff
The elegance, superb staff, excellent location, old world charm Smoking in the Bristol bar
the service no
The best thing was position, especially with respect to the opera. The room was first-class; well-presented given the (limited) size. Wifi should be free, not charged for. (This is an observation, not a complaint.)
Exceeded our expectations. Very well situated, good restaurant reasonably priced, and breakfasts were well presented with a lot of choice. It's a pity there was no air-conditioning in the room.
very friendly staff, good and nice brackfasts
the breakfast too small room, ugly furniture
missing WiFi room network
I liked the kindness of the service. We had breakfast and it was very good.
Good value for money. Nice hotel, good location.
Very nice atmosphere, clean and cosy rooms, good interior.
the staff is very helpful, breakfast is rich and various, the location of the hotel is perfect: there are nearby restaurants, metro station and is very close (walking) from the shopping area and the center of Viena. the facilities only include internet and parking.
Everything was perfect
Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The price was quite reasonable. The street noise late at night was very bothersome. I am a very sound sleeper and eventually I got to bed, but I could see it really being a problem for some people. My room was tiny. Again, this didn't bother me THAT much, b/c "cozy" is OK for me, but this was on the edge of that and I think some would be more bothered.
large room size and cleanliness it was under construction
Very spacious and clean; within walking distance of major sites that we wanted to see. We could not stay longer!
central placement in the city good breakfast not being informed about the works done at the hotel
Location is very good: 10 min walk to Charles' Square. Breakfasts are good and fresh, room is small but has all necessary, including TV, safe, hair dryer, 3 towels, body and head shampoo. Bed is comfortable, cleaned every day, change of towels every day. Internet is not free of charge
Excellent breakfast with good selection. Also enjoyed having the kitchenette facilities to make own drinks/snacks.
More than one would expect for the money.
location of the hotel is very good, one can get anywhere very quickly by tram or bus people were smoking at entrance of the hotel
The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. The rooms were not airconditioned.
We were in a new room and it wasn't quite finished yet. It was a suite, actually very large. Breakfast was fair, seemed somewhat disorganized. Location was ok, but not great. Very basic hotel, but alot of construction was going on, so it should improve. It was expensive, given the services and the location.
Friendly staff, proper room, a PC with Internet access available for free to the guests, it is just 10 minute walking from the city centre. In a nutshell very high value for money.
