The in-bound flight was 2 hours late and even though I could track that easily, and assumed our flight would also be two hours late, the AA website insisted the outbound flight would be on time. So like everyone else, I went to the airport. And it wasn't until just before the original departure time that the update was indicated. Really?? If I knew the flight was going to be two hours late,that means AA knew, and didn't care enough about their passengers to advise them. Then when we boarded, my bag was taken away for gate check because the flight did not allow roller bags. After I paid extra. How can AA not advise you when you book your flight that roller bags would not be allowed?? Talk about a money-grab. I unfortunately have a return ticket and am not wealthy enough to throw it away and book on another airline, but I would if I could. I will never fly AA again and I will share my story far and wide."

Pros: "The Bogota based crew provided the best service I have ever experienced. Extremely pleasant and customer focused. We were flying with twins and they assisted us through out the flight. Once we landed in MIA they helped us maneuver through the maze to reach the customs & immigration area quickly. All in all a great experience."

If this was an isolated incident, I could ignore it but it seems that this almost always happens when I fly United."

When we got there the plane was delayed and we were booked 3 days later this costing us 3 days of our vacations and all they had to say there's nothing we can do or you can have your money back, I bought my tickets 4 months in advance so they were cheaper getting my money back was not a solution; we then missed our connection flight because the airline took their long time to take off. In our way back to the states the planes were delayed more than 1 hour this causing us to lose our connections flight again. After a line of 3 hours we were booked for the next day (24hrs later) and the Spirit staff expected us to stay at the airport during this time, if I had to show them I had my baby boy with me and then they gave us a hotel room (many people did not get a hotel room)."
Pros: "Chaos pure. If your flight gets delayed, they will probably not be able to offer you a reasonable alternative because they don't have partner airlines. In my case, they offered me a flight 24 hours later. So, I had to pay another airliner to be able to continue my trip."
Cons: "I missed my connection in Fort Lauderdale. Terrible service. Had to pay out of pocket for a hotel night. Very unhappy with Spirit airline."

Cons: "Our flight was slightly delayed so we missed our connecting flight. We had to stay the night in Ft. Lauderdale, therefore paying over $100 on a hotel room with no reimbursement. We then had to take a flight to Dallas and had an 8-hour layover there before making it to Denver on Tuesday night, missing another FULL day of work. I will NEVER fly Spirit airlines ever again."
Cons: "This was the worst flying experience I have ever had. My connecting flight from Detroit to LaGuardia was delayed three times, from its original time of 4:15 pm until 9:10 pm, after which we had already been deplaned. Once we all finally got back on the plane to depart at 9:10 pm, our pilot came on the loudspeaker and said that he could not fly us home as he had food poisoning. We were then deplaned, after waiting 10 minutes for an update from anyone, and were waiting in the terminal with no guidance for another two hours. I was told to get on two different lines if I wanted a refund, and finally, was told I would not be able to discuss the refund there and would instead have to call. Once I called Spirit Airlines, the customer service representatives were unable to do anything. Now, our flight that has been rebooked for 11:15 am has been delayed AGAIN until 2:07 pm. I will never fly Spirit Airlines ever again."

And while getting their luggage out of the plane we lost the time window given by traffic control to take off. Thus arrived 1:30 late to Florida, lost conection . They don't pay for hotel, and book me to another flight over 24 hrs after This lost 2 days of work"
