DUE TO the fact that my very last, 55-minute, domestic flight in Colombia was operated by Avianca, it was to my very unpleasant surprise that United decided they were not going to be responsible for the bag which was left behind IN CHICAGO. I emphasize it's in Chicago, because that would not fall under Avianca's responsibility but rather United. I've had an absolutely awful time trying to get in touch with United and Avianca customer service, I've received both conflicting and incorrect/untrue information from both parties, and it's been 4 days now that instead of enjoying my family vacation I've been trying to sort this mess out with my missing luggage. DISASTROUS"

The flight was delayed for hours
Poor. It didn’t happen at all. Spirit was late getting into FLL, which delayed us getting to the terminal. After we deboarded the plane, we (as a plane) all got put in a large side room, while several new planes full of passengers joined the security line ahead of us. This cost us an extra 30 delay, and by the time we got through customs, plus the main screening, our flight had already left us. Not very happy righty now,paying for my own hotel when I should be in my own bed.

It was not a full flight so I had lots of space. Also I was given an exit seat which was great. Crew was very friendly. We took and got back Miami even earlier than scheduled. Thank you spirit.
Building in 90 min connection when airline knows it takes 3 hours is a needless recipe for disaster.

Because of this, and poor management in Customs, about 5 passengers including myself did not make it to our connecting flight to Chicago. We were move to the next available flight, which was 7:30am on the next day, and they only provided a 21-dollar meal voucher. No hotel accommodations, even though it was their fault we missed our flight"

Cons: "The fight was delayed considerably. No one helped me try to make My connection (e.g. advocate for me through security)"
Cons: "Extremely poor service. They charge a cheap fare and then charge you high for everything extra. No phone number to call for customer service. Will never fly spirit again"
Cons: "they charge you for EVERYTHING!!! And they STOLE my laptop charger from my checked bag!!! I'LL NEVER FLIGHT WITH THEM AGAIN!!!!!"

Cons: "I would like to use every expletive to describe Spirit airlines but I'm afraid they would censor this review. The staff onboard are unprofessional, rude and lack customer service. The baggage handlers are like monkeys tossing around luggage. The desk staff do not give two craps for you and all of these incompetencies mean you WILL miss flights using them. Never again!"

Cons: "Where to start. For starters they delayed every flight that I've traveled with them. In addition, they were so late, that I missed my connecting flight to Denver. I got absolutely no compensation. This was a miserable experience and will NEVER fly on this airline again."
Pros: "Crew was helpful."
Cons: "They home of the bare fare is just that, bare. It gets you to the door of the airplane. Just you, no bags or carry on, no seat, no food. Also bag weight limit is 40 lbs compared to 50 in other Airlines. When you add up the price difference is minimal unless you are willing to travel with only the clothes you are wearing. Flight delay was the cherry on the cake. First time and last time for me."

Cons: "When flying into Fort Lauderdale in an international flight the flight Spirit needs to give more than 1.5 hours to allow you to rush thru immigration without the stress that you will miss your connection flight. If the pilot wasn't late from his previous flight many would have missed the flight to Dallas."
Pros: "One or two people of the crew were friendly and helped to accommodate"
Cons: "The rest of the crew were not nice and were rude. Could be busy they are tired but is it not there job?"
Cons: "I missed the connection to Denver, because the flight was departed late from Colombia."
Cons: "Gate had no services. Least comfortable seats I have ever had. Overbooked and insane boarding process."
Cons: "We planned our vacation to Colombia with my wife. When we got there the plane was delayed and we were booked 3 days later this costing us 3 days of our vacations and all they had to say there's nothing we can do or you can have your money back, I bought my tickets 4 months in advance so they were cheaper getting my money back was not a solution; we then missed our connection flight because the airline took their long time to take off. In our way back to the states the planes were delayed more than 1 hour this causing us to lose our connections flight again. After a line of 3 hours we were booked for the next day (24hrs later) and the Spirit staff expected us to stay at the airport during this time, if I had to show them I had my baby boy with me and then they gave us a hotel room (many people did not get a hotel room)."
Pros: "Chaos pure. If your flight gets delayed, they will probably not be able to offer you a reasonable alternative because they don't have partner airlines. In my case, they offered me a flight 24 hours later. So, I had to pay another airliner to be able to continue my trip."
Cons: "I missed my connection in Fort Lauderdale. Terrible service. Had to pay out of pocket for a hotel night. Very unhappy with Spirit airline."
Cons: "No food choice for gluten allergic people"
Cons: "Our flight was slightly delayed so we missed our connecting flight. We had to stay the night in Ft. Lauderdale, therefore paying over $100 on a hotel room with no reimbursement. We then had to take a flight to Dallas and had an 8-hour layover there before making it to Denver on Tuesday night, missing another FULL day of work. I will NEVER fly Spirit airlines ever again."

Cons: "You have really cheap tickets but fail to disclose that you charge for everything to include water. What a ripoff. I will never fly this airline again."

Cons: "The flight was 30 minutes late almost causing us to miss a flight"
Cons: "We were boarded on time , but had 1:30 HR late to departure , sitting inside the plane. Because flight was overweight, they ended up asking pasangers to leave the plane. And while getting their luggage out of the plane we lost the time window given by traffic control to take off. Thus arrived 1:30 late to Florida, lost conection . They don't pay for hotel, and book me to another flight over 24 hrs after This lost 2 days of work"
