My flight was delayed 12 hours overnight due to "weather" and since it was reportedly because of uncontrollable weather delta didn't have to do anything for me so I slept in the JFK airport overnight, they wouldn't even give a $59 pass to their sky miles club for the afternoon. It felt like an easy excuse so they wouldn't have to do anything since there were other airlines still flying out of JFK and to go CLE before my rescheduled flight which makes me believe it wasn't all weather. Since the flight was delayed 12 hours instead of being cancelled they wouldn't let me switch to a different airline either. Then, in the morning when it was rescheduled to it was again delayed because they first couldn't find a captain and then couldn't find a fort mate. We finally took off and arrived in Cleveland only to wait another 30 minutes for a gate and a ground crew that they couldn't find. I will never fly delta again."

Too much delay at every step of the travel. Even after landing, had to stay at tarmac for a long time due to unavailable gate. Overall a bad experience of 3.5 Hr delay for one Hr flight. Families with children and mask were struggling to be there.

First of all, he got us there safe and sound with very little turbulence and on time; however, usually on those cross-country flights, the captain often announces interesting geographical features as we fly over them. Cons: "I had a flight from Los Angeles to Cleveland with a stop in Chicago on December 29, 2016; however, both flights were delayed. I am contacting customer care for compensation due to a severe delay for the departure and arrival for my flight from Chicago to Cleveland (Flight 786). I also wanted to report a very disappointing experience with the representatives at 1-800-864-8331. I was supposed to arrive at Cleveland, OH (CLE) on December 29, 2016 by 7:30 PM. However, it was closer to 11:20 PM when we finally arrived. The flight was delayed over an hour for departure when they announced the plane was not even ready and present at the gate. Due to this delay, we were not able to land on Cleveland, OH (CLE) because of snow on the runway. We circled Cleveland for roughly 40 minutes and then got redirected to the Detroit. We would've avoided the snow if the flight departed on time since the snow did not hit Cleveland until the delayed flight was airborne. We then landed in Detroit and spent another hour and a half in Detroit. At this time, I called the representatives at United and requested a refund. The representative completely understood my situation and said I would be refunded the full amount to my original payment method. She also assured me that I did not need a case number and that other representatives would be able to look up this information through my confirmation number. This was not the case when I contacted United again to see the progress on the refund. They said there were no annotations and that they could not provide a refund. They advised me that the previous representative had lied to me. While the flight experience caused me to miss the rehearsal dinner and bachelor party for a close friend I served with in the Army and almost caused me to miss the wedding, I feel very cheated and trashed for being lied to by your employees regarding my refund and its validity. This experience has left a very bad taste regarding United Airline's integrity and values."

Cons: "When arriving to the airport it was a bit confusing first finding where to get our connecting flight, that may have been an airport problem. But once we got to the right gate our plane was cancel or re-gated/scheduled three times. We had to walk all over the airport with less and less time to spare to make our flight out. When asking for direction or where to go we could never get a straight answer, it seem as if no one knew where to send us. I felt if I was being herded and hustled on getting a flight home, I had no choice in the matter of getting my flight out. If it wasn't for another passenger flying on the same plane we may have missed our flight all together because she was getting alerts on her phone for changes or updates. Once on the flight the air-condition was linking on one of our seat and we were first told to put a blanket over our head until take off, then we saw some empty seats so we asked to move. Once arriving at Cleveland airport we only discover our luggage had not arrived yet, not only did it not arrive we were told it had not yet left London Hethrow Airport and we would maybe get it in 24 hours. This was a problem because some of our personals we needed were in that luggage and we just had to make due and wait and see. We got our luggage the next day only for me to notice my lock was not on my luggage I do not know if this was taken off or I mistakenly left it off but I really do not think I did but I will check with the hotel to see if I left it there. I have always liked United but this really made me think on who to plan my next trip with later this year. And certainly will do my best to avoid coming through New Jersey. :("

Cons: "I was originally scheduled to fly to Cleveland from LGA at 8:30PM. At 12:30PM I got a text from United informing me that my flight had been cancelled. My only rebooking option on the same day was a 9:45PM flight out of Newark. Newark is significantly farther away from my apartment (2 hours vs. 30 minutes) but I took it because it was my only option. After a 2+ hour trip to Newark and going through a disastrous check-in process I found out my flight was delayed until 10:30, then 11, then 11:41. Hardly any real announcements were made until the end when the gate agent stopped hiding. No apologies were made and wasn't even offered water for the inconvenience."

Cons: "When all of the passengers and crew are at the listed gate well before boarding and the gate is changed to a different terminal it adds a lot of stress to the situation. To the crews credit they did not let it effect their professional attitude. I was highly impressed by the employees of the airline to keep things on time and positive. Overall that made the difference between being a bad experience and becoming one of the best flight experiences I have had in years. This flight crew should be considered an example of how to treat customers well."

Cons: "Delayed in Sacramento due to weather which is understandable. However, my connecting flight in San Francisco left 8 minutes early causing me to miss the flight. It was the last flight out for the night.... Had to sleep at the airport for 5 hours until another flight in the morning. My flight in the morning caused me to have a middle seat, which was very uncomfortable for the next 5 hours."

Flight was late at boarding and, once it took off and landed, crew team was not at the gate on time. We had to wait again over 20 minutes to park the airplane at the gate.

The flight was on time and the pilot was speedy! We actually got into Cleveland about 1/2 hour earlier than the manifest indicated! Our flight crew was very accommodating and funny - they helped put the entire cabin at ease as there were many small children who were anxious/fidgety and so were their parents. The flight was without problems all the way around. Thanks Frontier!

Worst airline I’ve ever flown with, they will never get my business again.

Our flight was delayed multiple times and communication was very poor as to what the issues were or when we would get home. Were in the airport for 12 hours with no weather issues just issues with flight crew availability. Don’t understand why so many flights can be booked if this is a continuous issue?

Cons: "The seats are super uncomfortable. Imagine sitting on high school bleachers for hours at a time with no where to go and stretch. The tray table is no no bigger than my cell phone so what exactly am I supposed to do with it? They no longer offer any in flight drinks due to covid but they can SELL you a water! Water should always be given for free. What if there is a medical emergency and that individual doesn't have money??? What!! Sell water but not give it out. Please. Its all a trap to get more of my money. The plane was packed full despite covid. So they can't run the drink cart but they can pack the flight to capacity. None of this even made sense. I already dread flying but all of these little inconveniences make it even less bearable."
Pros: "The crew was awesome. My fiance and I did want to be traveling, but kind of had to for a family emergency. He is immunocompromised and high risk for COVID so when we noticed that someone purchased the empty seat in our row (even though half of the plane was open, come on now) we asked to switch to an empty row and the crew member assisted us without any hesitation. Granted, we were not picky and gladly sat in any empty row they gave us. Beggar's cant be choosers! Over all, another great experience with Frontier. Be nice and keep your mask on -- they are flight attendants, not adult daycare workers."

Cons: "Well, the tray tables were about 5in x 8in and didn't slide forward, rendering it useless for basically anything. A laptop wouldn't fit anyway, but since it didn't slide out, the screen would have been tilted too far forward to properly see it as it was up against the seat and it was too unstable not to also hold my laptop while I sat there. With significantly less leg room than I've previously experienced on an economy class flight, laying down on the tray table to sleep was also impossible. When I first got on the plane, the air conditioner started and rather than feeling comfortable and less sweaty and gross, I just began to smell stale air that I was almost convinced was carbon monoxide as I was flying from Seattle and there had been smoke all around Washington due to forest fires. It was horribly uncomfortable and annoying even for sitting in coach. And I wasn't on an older or smaller airplane where I'd expect a little less concern for comfort, it seemed like it was very modern and it was a very large place. Leg room could have easily been increased by losing one to two rows of seats (seats that would most likely be empty anyway I might add). Airplanes tend not to be the most comfortable mode of travel anyway, but I would say this was the worst one."

Cons: "The amount of delays. The departure and arrival times was a major reason I flew with Frontier to begin with, so without that I have little incentive to fly with Frontier in the future. At the check-in counter it seemed unorganized. The automated check-in machines were not working properly and customers were not helped in an orderly line when I had to check-in at the counter."

The flight itself was fine, seats don't mean back at all, leg room is minimal and they don't fill in emergency row seats unless you pay $50 for them. Other airlines require they are filled before they fly. This particular flight was very, very warm and stuffy. The air that was blowing from above us was warm/hot the entire flight. Most of the passengers were sniffling and/or coughing by the end of the flight just because of the heat. Maybe it's a ploy to make people buy their overpriced beverages..."
Cons: "Flight attendant didn't take the time to read the entire certification label on our child's car seat. As a result she made me gate check it (no cost at least)...trying to keep a 2 year old in a seat for 3 hours with a lap belt that doesn't fit tightly doesn't seem like the best option. After we landed and I retrieved the seat, I spoke with the attendant and respectfully pointed out that it was in fact certified for aircraft. She apologized and accepted the feedback."
Pros: "We took off and landed on time. The support staff was friendly. The airport in Orlando was a God awful mess so no matter what airline you were flying today out of Orlando, it would have been enough to make a priest swear We missed our flight but were rescheduled in a very timely matter by very pleasant Frontier staff."
Cons: "I absolutely hate all the fees for this and that. I started flying in the days of stewardesses who dressed up (not that a give a fig about that really) and meals were included. It's really difficult to come to terms with being charged for water. I made a mistake when booking and had a checked bag outbound and then a carry on returning which should have been a checked bag. I played hell trying to get this matter straightened around a few days before and then again while I was checking in for the flight. I finally requested to speak with someone higher up the food chain, and she managed to make things right in short order. Of course, there was no $5 refund. Why did it take 20 minutes of time to do this? In order to save us both from this type of thing in the future, I will avoid booking with Frontier. I think one has to be more organized than I to do things with a no frills airline."

The extra leg room for sitting in an exit row with reclining capability is huge! I would be willing to pay to get an exit row all the time since the first flight was spent in a "normal" seat and the leg room is pretty bad with how many rows of non-reclining seats have been crammed into their planes."

Very unprofessional and I will not use your airline again. Another Male Flight Attendant would not wait a few swconds for a passenger to gather his trash, got disgusted, made some type of remark and just turned and walked away. Never returned."
Cons: "I was unable to return home with the purchased round trip package. Other airlines were able to get people home, but Frontier didn't have it together. I had to book a train to get home (2000 miles!!!!). Also, payless car rental was really pushy on upselling us to a higher price AND there were engine problems with the car... then.. called be several days after the drop off to tell me they didn't know where the car was..... Perhaps this wouldn't have been so bad if my family had been traveling for vacation purposes; not for a funeral..."

Cons: "I had a direct flight on Wednesday, the 21st of December, from Denver to Cleveland via Frontier. We arrived on time, checked our bags, and were given tickets that did not include seat assignments. Frontier oversold our flight by more than 30 seats! We were told that we might be able to make it home on Christmas if we flew Frontier, or we could make our own arrangements and Frontier would reimburse us up to $400. So, we wound up flying Delta from Denver to Minnneapolis, and then Minneapolis to Detroit, and then renting a car from Detroit to Cleveland. That got us home at about midnight, and cost us more than $600. It was the cheapest option available."
Cons: "They "down sized" the plane because the original plane had 15 extra seats. This downsized left 35+ passengers with out seats. I checked in the day before, checked in my luggage and they say anything to me about not having a seat until I reached the ticket agent during boarding process. RIDICULOUS! Then sent us to customer service where finding a new flight was not an option. So I ended up booking a different flight (on my own) with a new airlines and Frontier will only reimburse $400 which does not cover the cost of the flight. AND they Don't know where my bag is!! NOT a happy customer!"

Cons: "Delayed my 7:25am flight for 5 hours before finally canceling it. Then customer service was such a hassle to deal with in order to reroute the flight. I had to go get my baggage from baggage claim, the phone number I was given wasn't in service, I stood in the line at the front which was packed with other passengers from the flight and gate agents had a hard time because nobody was answering the phone calls. Apparently the only way to rebook is through this phone line, which is absurd. The gate agents should be able to do this from their computers. But you get what you pay for, I suppose. When the agent got through on the call, the guy on the phone claimed another phone number was where we had to call to rebook..it was the customer service number that other customers called and were redirected to the number we were on the current line after waiting on hold for 30 minutes. He argued with us for about 10 more minutes that he couldn't do it...which made me miss my chance to book the next flight out because it filled up in that time span, After running my credit card for almost $500 (fingers crossed a reimbursement actually goes through) I finally got on another flight, which of course, wasn't direct. I finally returned home at 10pm. It was supposed to be a very easy day, under 2 hour flight, that turned into 16 hours. I got a $200 voucher as well as $30 in food, but every plan I had was ruined and I spent the day in an airport. Very disappointed because airlines are so expensive, and I just needed a one-way to get home with one bag and it was a perfect deal. Everyone on that flight had very important reasons to get home and it was awful to see everyone so sad. Also, it's Christmas season...so that $500 everyone most likely lost really affects the holiday spirit. Gotta keep your company running somehow though! All I want to see is the charge for the reimbursement actually come through."

It was 1145 pm and I did not get to Cleveland at noon, no it was 3 o'clock am with no chance to rent a car to go home I had to call my daughter! And the best part was that my 75 year old wife had to endure this.they would not cancel the flight and allow me to take my wife to a hotle. There were parents with infants as well that was not happy.So to Hume it may concern You have lost several customers because of your failure to take care of your customers!"

All this didn't work, so we were told get all your stuff, get off plane then go wait at another gate to reboard another plane...so family plans were ruined since we all arrived 3 hrs later starving, thirsty & tired.. . No compensation was offered for all the inconvenience and we paid a high price for this flight that you had to pay a lot for a carry on. Flight home was at least 2 hr delay. Also not sure why entertainment is on survey since there wasn't any, or food since not even peanuts were offered and comfort??? Noticed less space pet person since my last flight and even the tray was tiny. None of our group of 7 will fly Frontier again, and will make sure everyone who asks about our trip will hear about our awful experience w/Frontier."

We were rushed to board he flight in the first place before the flight crew timed out; we finally took off at 2am with exhausted pilots which was terrifying. Also frontier charges for all bags and all seats, instead of including it in their base fee. Plane is tigjt and uncomfortable, no on board entertainment and seats don't recline. Most passengers were drunk and rowdy after long wait at the airport, and a man was busted for smoking weed in the bathroom. And someone else sat in my seat. THE WORST FLIGHT EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD--an all around disaster."

I contacted customer service immediately, the rep. Was extremely rude and charged me an additional $200 on my ticket to move it to the next day. He charged my Card and did not make the changes. I received an email stating, no changes were made to my Itinerary, it still had the same wrong date, but my credit card had been charged the $200 fee. I called back and got a more helpful person, but was told to contact the flight insurance company, I purchased, to discuss refunding the additional charge. Not only do you pay for your bags, but you pay for your seats, your beverages, your snacks, and your mistakes. I guess that's how they manage to keep costs down. But then again, you get what you pay for!"

I would have flown had my flight been the next day or weather conditions better... I am so bummed that I lost the $370 round trip ticket as our son that I never get to see came from California to be in our neighbor boy's wedding... Cons: "I was sad that due to weather conditions and flight anxiety I did not feel comfortable flying and was hoping for a partial or some type of credit for a future flight but I doubt that will happen... It was my fear of traveling in awful weather and during Hurricane Matthew that made me not get on the plane... :(. My fears got the best of me and I have never done that before and lost the money for the round trip ticket..."
Cons: "Two of my checked bags were lost. One I needed for a presentation at work. The other was needed for my backpacking gear. The bags were lost on Sunday morning. I needed both bags on Monday by 9am. I was finally told the bags would be delivered at 10am Monday and could take up to 4 hours to arrive. My presentation at work was a disaster as I only had half of the material I needed. And now it is 10am on Monday I am suppose to be heading to Tenessee with a large group of children for a backpacking trip and I'm trapped at home with no gear. This mistake is now effecting at least 10-15 families whose children I'm suppose to take into the wilderness. Bags get lost. I get that. Frontier has offered no compensation and barley an apology. I will never fly with this company again. I guess you get what you pay for. Very disappointed."

Cons: "I saw those updated seats and the joke of a tray table that was provided wouldn't even hold my iPad. The staff was apparently new because they couldn't get through one intercom conversation without fumbling through it and when a customer asked how long the flight was the flight attendant didn't know and another passenger had to answer. We were delayed by 2 hours and all because the intercom phone was broken. I know it's a safety hazard but it just wasn't a smooth professional staff that you typically see. One of the three flight attendants was tenure but all I saw was the new girl fumble through everything. I'm hoping she was new...also, we are delayed two hours sitting on the plane, so I know people will give bad reviews about that but there's nothing you can control regarding our safety. It is what it is, I just couldn't stop shaking my head everything they spoke on the intercom how bad they were on it."
Pros: "The security line to the Frontier concourse was unbelievably long, and even though Frontier knew this, it insisted on closing the plane door right on time, at 10 minutes before departure, even though 6 non-related passengers were going to miss the flight. If they had kept the door open 2 extra minutes, all 6 passengers would have made the flight. Ultimately, the plane left 10 minutes late, so 20 minutes after the door closed. I've had enough of Frontier's inflexibility and will gladly pay a higher fare for a different airline."

Cons: "THe flight was delayed by close to two hours, but more surprising was the amount of extraunexpected money we had to spend for basics-close to $30.00 each to "pick" seats, $130.00 each for baggage (yes you have to pay for any luggage beyond one personal item like a purse), money for food, etc. There are not even basics on the lfight such as blankets, and the seats don't recline. Overall, not an airline I would choose again as the "bargain" price turns out to be full of hidden costs that weren't clearly explained upfront"

Cons: "The service is minimal. Everything but a seat selected by the airline is extra. I knew that in advance, but buying a cheap ticket requires you to put up with poor customer service. The Frontier cabin crew spent most of the time on both of my flights in the front and back of the cabin talking among themselves. Both flights made you feel like a sardine. Get you on and off as quickly as possible so they can get the next herd of sheep on board for the next flight. No seat adjustment button. The refreshment tray attached to the back of seat in front of me one half to one third the size of trays on any other flights I have ever taken."
Pros: "Frontier airlines boarded relatively smoothly and there was sufficient room for my carry-on luggage. Even though I didn't pay for a seat assignment, my wife and I were seated together. The crew was generally friendly and cooperative."
Cons: "Hidden fees are a deal-breaker for me here. They try to get you to pay for seat assignments, although you don't have to. If you don't pay for a seat assignment, there is a risk you may not be seated with the rest of your party. You do have to pay to bring a carry-on, which I didn't realize. The added cost of $40 (if you pay in advance, $55 if you forget and pay at the airport) to carry on a piece of luggage that is typically free makes this far less of a bargain than advertised. I felt misled and taken advantage of. Since we realized this the day before our flight, my wife and I shared one carry on to keep the cost down. For us, the tickets ended up costing $80 more than I realized. If we had each had our own carry on, the total added cost would be $160 which seems like quite a ripoff."

Cons: "I rated the service poor because upon boarding the plane and sitting down, I noticed my 20 yo son somehow did not make it onto the plane. This became concerning when it became apparent that everyone had boarded and he still did not appear. I approached a flight attendant about it, letting her know that I was concerned that my son had not boarded. Her response (apparently because I was not hysterical) was "well you don't seem too concerned about it, so I won't be." I was very taken aback by this and ended up - with another flight attendant's permission - leaving the plane to find my son who it turned out was held up at the gate for a reason that was resolved."

Cons: "our flight left about an hour late; we were told our exit row seats would recline (but they didn't); no in-flight entertainment; very uncomfortable and couldn't sleep on the red-eye as i am able to with other airlines. also, had to pay $40 per luggage to check in (vs $45 to carry on) - however, we saved about $150 total flying frontier (bag checked included) vs other airlines. it was annoying though that we weren't able to easil add bags to our itinerary upon checkout on this site. BIGGEST disappointment was that frontier did not participate in TSA-pre check, which i suppose was fine for this flight since we left an hour late, anyway."

Cons: "Ticket counter person in PDX was very rude. Our seats were 'upgraded' for a red eye flight, behind one screaming baby for 75% of the flight, and another next to us that constantly was kicking us. The male air flight attendant enjoyed to hear himself talk so much, that between him and the amplified screaming baby, sleep was not possible. I asked for water, but since that was the only free thing, they were out of it and the male flight attendant sound get me some of their was time before we landed....that was 25 minutes into a 3 and a half hour flight. In his defense, I did get my water just before the plane started its descent. And the last point, girlfriend's brand new suitcase was covered in him when we picked it from baggage claim. Both my flights were delayed. From either paperwork or waiting for crew. Gate changed twice. Wondering why they give times and gates. Seems nobody knows what's going on.

Pros: "Crew had straight attitude. I asked a spirit airport worker if the flight had been delayed and she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I asked another and he said “go find out”. This was surreal that it could be that bad."
Cons: "Everything. The price I saved taking spirit I spent when I had to 1. take an Uber to a 2. hotel because spirit 3. first flight was so delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight resulting in me to either get a refund or wait til a flight was available. 4. The refund would only be for my connecting flight so I still would come out my pocket on a new flight - or for no charge at all I can have my Tuesday flight moved to Thursday. Shit was crazy. No one on the first plane made it onto the connecting flight and NOT ONE spirit representative came to communicate, coordinate or reassure us."

I was then given a 3rd row seat. Since I have some difficulty walking this saved me from having To walk the entire length of the plane. The plane was completely full. I truly appreciate the kindness your staff member Showed to me. I only wish that I knew her name Also the plane arrived 30 minutes early at my Destination."

The only way we knew we were begin delayed is to look it up online or in my email. This was the day MCO was closing at 5pm because of hurricane Irma. People were anxious to leave Florida and with plans to fly out, they were unprepared to stay."
Cons: "I thought I was getting a cheap flight. Wrong! By the time I added in the cost of checking a bag (even pre-check in), I was pretty much in the same ballpark as other flights. If I wanted to select my seat, that would have made it even more. The seats were hard and did not recline at all and I was on a 4.5 hour red-eye flight. There wasn't any food available to purchase. On top of everything, I had to change my flight, which I did on Spirit.com. I purchased my bag check at the same time. When I got to the counter, my bags were paid, but my flight was not changed. I had to pay to change it at the counter (fortunately, there was room on the flight). They would not take any responsibility, just kept telling me it was my fault since I booked my flight incorrectly in the first place. Terrible airline, will not use again."

There is no mention in the itinerary that the gate closes 30 minutes before departure and I was there 45 minutes before the take off. I didn't get a next flight. Now, I can't even cancel the return flight and I lost all the money for the trip. I called the customer service and they said they cant do anything except to book another ticket the next day. Why do they think I would ever travel with them again!!"
Cons: "Very rude flight attendants like I understand you guys work all day and I'm sure it gets old flying back and forth and I bet you have terrible customers but I am not one of those so to be rudely disrespected and ignored was truely hurtful. I was ignored over and over again when they were in the back talking when the no seatbelt sign was on there was no reason they couldn't come in and asked me if I needed something and it was like this for the whole four hour flight. Then when I got up and went to the back of the cabin they got upset with me for apologizing for interrupting them been enquiring about my question she stuck her hand up in the air and told me that she was talking. Very rude. I know the flight is cheap but next time I think ill just pay extra for politness. :'("

Before I click the "book" ticket, I add up all the extras I know are coming to make sure it REALLY is the best fare."
Cons: "I logged on spirit.com the day before to check in, print my boarding pass, and update my contact info for flight updates. I was not once contacted via email or text that my flight had been delayed three times. It was supposedly mechanical. Once aboard 5 hours late, we sat in the hot sun for another 45 minutes before moving. The pilot came over the speakers once at cruising altitude to say it would be another 2hours and 35minutes (the flight attendants had just repeatedly announced 1hour 25minutes). It was a mess and seemed incredibly unorganized."

Cons: "Return flight landed on time but taxied on the runway for 2 hours (longer than the total flight time). Was only offered 1 small glass of water filled 1/2 up & 1 small package of 2 cookies as a result of federal regulations. Flight attendants & pilot only updated passengers every 25 min, saying it would only be another 10 min longer. As the updates were no accurate and late, passengers including myself were extremely frustrated. Mentioned delay of finding a gate was due to "politics", which I've never heard before. Was extremely disappointed in the way Spirit handled the situation and would not recommend this airline to people as a result."

I certainly would have hesitations in sending a child or elderly person traveling alone granted the seat belt sign went on and an elderly gentleman was making his way from the front of the plane to the back bathroom - the female flight attendant told him to get to his seat or be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law - have we come to this in our society or is this the spirit of Spirit Airlines."

Plan ahead as you have to ask in advance for a bag. the flight left late and arrived late. Passengers could get dehydrated with no water on a long (more and a few hours) flight. with everything costing money; it appears cheap - Is Spirit Airlines also being cheap on the maintenance. I am sure you are not - this is a rhetorical question."
Pros: "Once you get over the fact that your ticket only gets you a seat, the airline was great. The plane was like new, clean and roomy. The boarding process was efficient. I felt very safe."
Cons: "At first you feel like its a "low budget" airline and that they maybe cutting corners where it counts like safety. But that was not the case. Although I get the concept, I would have liked to at least printed my boarding pass at the gate without a cost or have the boarding pass sent to my phone. Also, the ticketing counter line was VERY slow in Atlanta. Be aware that even a carry-on cost money and if you think you are going to slid by with a slightly larger bag, it could cost you $100 at the gate and losing your seat and being on standby."

And the amount of leg room provided is just absolutely ridiculous for anything longer than an hour flight! I'm certain the CEO of the company that runs Spirit Airlinesflies first class on another airline and never flies crappy old Spirit!"
Pros: "There's nothing really that jumps out at me that makes me scream I love this airline because, let's face it, unless you charter yourself a flight or put yourself in first class; flying really sucks no matter what company you fly with. The only real perk of this airline that is usually pretty consistent are the flight attendants. Their jokes in the beginning lighten the mood and put people who really hate flying at ease for a moment, otherwise they are always attentive and use the right amount of sass to the fellow passengers that need to be put in their place ;) I also like that when my flight is delayed your company updates pretty frequently, it would just be nice to maybe give tentative landing/boarding/take off times because there is usually just one new time and it's hard to tell whomever is waiting on you, what time the new arrival will be."
Cons: "I know I can't complain about the man behind me that incessiently cussed while simultaneously pushing on the back of my seat in his own little pity party, or about the little girl who rested her feet on me for at least an hour-- that's not your fault! Your passengers chose you! But a few things that your may want to look at improving would be timeliness; My last 5 flights have all been delayed to some degree, life happens and I understand 15 minutes, half an hour.... But my flights tend to range around an hour delayed, 2 hours, 4 hours delayed this past thanksgiving... Like I said, I know life happens but maybe there is a way to improve this. Next, yes, all airplane seats are uncomfortable, but the one next to me was visibly broken but still had a person placed in it-- that's not me sitting in it but if I paid $25 for a specific seat and it turned out to be busted I would be pretty pissed- so all I'm saying is if you're charging people for seats, make sure there is enough maintenance and up keep that people are getting what they pay for. Lastly, cleanliness... People don't clean up after themselves even if it's asked of them and it's starting to really turn me away from the airline. There has been food smashed in my seat, gum and other unidentifiable things smashed in the carpet or seat back and it just hinders how I feel the entire flight. I know cleaning crews are expensive and obviously don't help with timeliness when the flight is aready significantly delayed but in my personal opinion if I've already been waiting 2 hours, an extra 15 minutes for a quick clean is not going to kill me and will actually be reassuring to know it gets cleaned at all. Another idea to remedy this problem would maybe be supplying dissenfectant wipes upon request but make it known that they are available-- I use my own wipes but I know a LOT of people don't even think to bring them."

Cons: "I get it, Spirit is a low-cost operation. But does it have to show in everything they do? All of the staff seemed rather disinterested in the customers, to the point where they weren't sure if someone had sneaked onto the flight! That sure got them hopping. Unfortunately, it took half an hour to sort out. In the meantime, there we all alwere, stuck in our too small seats with their too little leg room. Once we left the gate, it became evident that the flight crew were not just indifferent to the passengers, they were passive-aggressively antagonistic about us. I mean, everyone has a bad day now and then, but the whole crew? Seems like it could be a systematic issue with this airline. I've flown cheap before, and you get what you ou for, but I didn't sign up to feel as if I were despised."

Cons: "I feel cheated and deceived. A checked bag costs $50. A carry on costs $55. If you don't realize this before you go the gate it goes from $65 to $100. The counter crew was rude, and the boarding crew in Cleveland was shaking down passengers to be sure they were not "cheating", stopping the boarding process to check passenger receipts. Getting an assigned seat, an extra $15 per person. And there was absolutely no leg room for that extra $15 (which I paid for). These costs should be shared upfront - basically every ticked is $50-$65 more than the website shows. I will not fly this airline again."
Cons: "Spirit is the only airline that's so cheap that charge for the regular carry on. Also, your employees spoke poorly about passengers in Spanish and didn't notice or care that the passengers may understand (which I did). This is almost certainly the last time I willing choose to fly Spirit."

Cons: "Our granddaughter's stroller and car seat were not available to us at the gait and we were directed to collect it at the baggage claim area. These two pieces had not arrived in the baggage claim area as well. Therefore, we contacted the airline representative in the lost baggage office. We spent close next two hours trying to locate the missing pieces to no success. We were provided a substitute car seat for her and as we were a minute from our destination in Solon, we received a phone call that those missing pieces were located (we don't know where in the airport) and delivered a couple of hours later. It just speaks to the incompetence of the Spirit airlines staff. I do not think that we shall again fly Spirit in the near future, nor shall we recommend it to other family members or friends."

We will choose a flight with one payment that takes care of luggage, flight and seats all in one. My luggage coming back was 7 lbs over so they charged me $25.00 extra coming back. Hidden fees with this airline. The seats were the worst part of the plane, very uncomfortable. Flight was smooth."
Pros: "The actual in air experience was good. The staff was very nice and smiled as we entered and smiled as we exited. The aircraft was clean and the restrooms were clean and refreshing."
Cons: "The counter service was unexceptionable. I stood in line for 40 minutes. While the few people working did handle the line which literally was the length of the concourse and out the building the the passenger arrival area of the airport. I was one of the most unorganized events that I have ever experienced. The computer would print my boarding pass. I had to stand in line for that. I tried to print it at the hotel for over an hour and it still would not print for me so there is a glitch in the system somewhere. Upon our arrival in Cleveland there was no Agent standing there to give greetings or directions. All in all the service was sub-par and leaves much to be desireable."

I was told that the next time I fly, I should "leave a lot at home." It's a shame that I enjoyed my actual flying experience with Spirit quite a lot, but I will never fly with them again because of the ticket counter employees."

Its absurd, really. The seats on the planes do not even recline. Good luck using the tray table for anything other than your $5 cup of water. Its the smallest thing I've ever seen. Choose another airline."
