Pros: "It's good to flight public transit long time I'm the food is really bad pouring food"

Pros: "Crew was very warm and friendly"
Cons: "The experience in the Frankfurt airport was terrible! We had arrived from Rome with an hour between landing and boarding. When we were directed to security at Gate Z, there was a huge mob of people, not really in lines. We didn’t know what we were waiting for or where to stand, but we and others around us were very worried about missing our next flight. There was no Lufthansa representative to help. Finally someone directed some of us to a long roundabout back way to Gate Z security. We did get to our gate in time for boarding, only because it had been delayed. Then we sat in the plane for over half an hour. Altogether, it took off more than an hour late, so we missed our flight from Chicago to Minneapolis."

Cons: "Flight was delayed in Frankfurt due to technical issues. That was fixed, but ended up missing the flight to Minneapolis. Lufthansa provided vouchers to hotel and shuttle to the hotel (holiday inn express) and back to the airport. We stood out in the cold for 45 mins but the shuttle did not show up. Ended up taking Uber to the hotel only to find out their shuttle service does not start in the morning before 5:30 am. They booked me on a 6 am flight with 5:45 boarding time. The hotel scheduled a taxi to pick me up at 3:30 am to make back to the airport on time. I ended up spending $70 and I’m totally exhausted. I wished I just stayed at the airport. Not to mention the quality of the hotel accommodations is less than average. Very disappointed with how this whole situation was managed."

Pros: "The help from the checking agent after we found out Lufthansa canceled my daughter and mine flys coming back home without any explanation and notification"

Pros: "The crew was efficient. They seemed to care about the passengers' comfort. Also, even though the flight left late, they made up the time while in the air. They are the reason with I gave the excellent rating, despite some other misgivings."
Cons: "Lufthansa food service seems to have been deteriorated somewhat over the recent past. Especially the snack before landing seems laden with mayo (plain bread might have been better!)."

Pros: "Food was great"
Cons: "Connect flight time was cutting it short- sane scenario."

Pros: "Cabin crew and service"
Cons: "Left over 2 hours late and we missed our condo in Chicago and had to rebook and spend the night"

Pros: "The on-board staff were excellent. Please congratulate Lufthansa on another job well done! Very good at listening and very attentive to passenger needs and passenger comfort. Bravo!"

Pros: "It was a great airline! I flew economy but still was very comfortable."
Cons: "I didn't have a long enough layover in Chicago and ended up missing my next flight. At least an hour and a half should be allotted going through customs in O'Hare. Then an additional 2 hours to recheck bags and get across the airport. This also allows extra time for delays."

Pros: "Never was able to get on flight airport evacuated because of security breach. Mass confusion and unable to get back through security in time to catch flight still waiting to be rebooked."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "Attentive and friendly crew, good selection of in-flight entertainment"
Cons: "Crew did not come around very frequently with water throughout flight, mostly only during regular beverage service."

Pros: "Great staff, very attentive. Food was good. With all the people on the plane, our flight attendant remembered what we drank from the first time. Comfortable seats. Left late, but made up time and arrived right on schedule."
Cons: "Nothing."

Pros: "Lufthansa is an efficient operation."
Cons: "1. The comfort in economy class was insulting and horrible. I am 6'3", 175lbs and was trapped in one uncompromisingly uncomfortable position for 8+ hours. Torture is a word that comes to mind. If I were a smaller sized person, 5'8" or less, perhaps this may be acceptable, but for anyone over 6'. forget it. You must pay loads extra to be given a respectable seat. I am hopeful that I don't develop a blood clot from this flight. This lack of room is a seriously dangerous situation for many people on long-distance flights. 2. The seat recline feature added further insult to the mix. Once airborne, the lady in the seat in front of me sent her seat into what was left of any personal space or legroom I had. The video screen on the setback in front of me was literally 6" from my face now. Several people who were also of taller size complained, one was so adamant about retaining his space that he fought verbally with the lady in front of him, and eventually a stewardess had to be called. My wife complained on my behalf, and was able to get the lady in front of me to reposition her seat, but eventually, I noticed it somehow found its way back to recline again. I know Lufthansa is not alone with this predicament, but something HAS TO BE DONE to fix this huge problem with air travel. 3. The food on the flight to Germany was way better than the return trip. The meal consisted of mushy carrots, greasy mashed potato-like side, and a piece of OK chicken smothered in 'Murican BBQ sauce. I was insulted. Lufthansa had been better than this in the past. Oh, and the dinner roll was so dry and crumbly, it could have been weeks old. The snack before landing was called pizza, but I wouldn't call it that It was a bunch of tasteless dough, a little bit of tomato like sauce and a smattering of cheese. I wish Lufthansa would stick to what they do best; German-influenced food. Be true to who you are. Most people I know love German food, and I always have looked forward to LH food selections. Not now."

Pros: "We had a very short connection as a result of a long delay in our flight from Athens to Munich. Lufthansa held the gate open and helped us get on board tom our flight to Chicago. The plane was big, roomy and the seats were comfortable. There were adequate number of toilets so people didn't have to stand in long lines. The crew was very friendly in an efficient way, not like in Asian airlines where the passenger gets coddled. I particularly appreciated the serving of water/juices every so often to stay hydrated."
Cons: "They could have made the transfer easier by having a trolley to move us instead of having us run through the airport. I am 70 and have had both knees replaced. While I can walk just fine, running was very difficult."

Pros: "Pleasant cabin crew."
Cons: "Narrow, hard seats that will bring back your greatest dentist memories. Unappetizing menu choices, such that I chose not to partake. Nickel and dime add-on for wifi. Seriously? Thousands of dollars for business class, and you want another 13 Euro for wifi? Not bloody likely. I usually fly SAS business class, and based on this experience with Lufthansa, I will go straight back to SAS. They offer better service, better menu choices, and first class seating for the same price. Easy decision."

Pros: "Staff mostly, but also plane, seat, food, boarding and communication."
Cons: "We left late due to weather — which is okay— but pilot didn’t catch up in the air. Also, the connection was tight partly because the Prague flight parked at the far end of the field and the bus ride took forever. Then we had so far to walk to get to the departure gate."

Cons: "It was awful. The staff was more concerned with flirting with guests than everyone else. The seats were absolutely terrible. Getting off the flight the flight attendant had her back turned to everyone but made sure that the guests in first class were greeted as they discarded the air craft. As soon as she left everyone else from economy off the plane she didn’t even say have a good day, rather she had a nasty look on her face. This will be the last time I fly Lufthansa."

Cons: "Unorganized boarding. Back of the plane seats should be boarding first, after babies and old people. I was stopped by the people in front of the plane putting away their luggage and standing in the aisle. Not enough room between the rows. Passenger in front of me most picture straight into my face"

Cons: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

Pros: "Munich airport on other hand. We got to the airport several hours in advanced. Everything from getting a boarding pass to checking and weighing in your own bag was electronically. Long lines and majority of the systems were not working. After trying several machines and being directed into 3 different lines I finally was able to check my bag in. I had to leave my other family members who were flying with me as they were in another line. At the machine to check my bag in , a airport worker ran up to my bag and slammed it onto the ground as well as ripped off my luggage tags. My bag was upright on the conveyer belt instead of on its side , but how rude the airport workers are, is rediculous. After I asked why she did that she just began ordering me around to move my bag after I got my bag through the machine I asked to speak to a manager as the airport worker was extremely rude and unprofessional. No one would give me the time of day and the same airport working out her hand in my face saying repeatedly goodbye in German. I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life. Trying to get through security a few travelers on a thin patience level started pushing people in line trying to by pass others it was so very chaotic workers had to go in between. Those travelers were complaining, because disabled travelers had a separate line that was faster. The worst airport experience I've ever had. Once on the plane everyone was pleasant. Crew was very helpful and always willing to assists"
Cons: "There was a child on the plane that was screaming and crying on and off for several hours. The parents didn't do anything to keep the child calm. Before we got to Chicago eveyone had to be seatbelt s before landing and the flight attendant asked eveyone to buckle up. The mother of the baby wouldn't listen and began yelling at flight crew. I think the flight crew did a great job, the passenger and child were very disruptive making the flight at times very uncomfortable. I wouldn't suggest infants or toddlers flying for such long trips. No one wants to listen to a child screaming at the top of their lungs."

Pros: "Movies / Food"
Cons: "Seat location. Delay time boarding."

Pros: "Boarding is efficient. Flight very smooth."
Cons: "great crew"

Pros: "Great service both before boarding the plane and while in flight. The check in line was out of control, but lufthansa staff members ensured that I could still make my flight."

Pros: "The food, drink, and entertainment selection was great. There were tons of movies to watch and keep me entertained."
Cons: "Once I got in I was given a middle seat, which I would not have chosen had I been able to check in prior for this flight. After this we were given great service until half way through the flight when I was becoming quite thirsty and kept trying to signal the flight attendant based on my help button, but no one came, so I had to stop a flight attendant that was passing so I could ask for some water to drink. Overall, the flight was OK, even though I felt a little crammed in my seat and the need to fish for a flight attendant just to get water was a hassle."

Pros: "It was my daughter's 16th birthday and one of the spunky crew members helped us to create a little celebration. That was very memorable! Otherwise the flight was late (which was OK, the captain kindly kept us informed), but the plane was clean and quiet. The bathrooms on the lower level provided a space to stretch, but as always, they get pretty dirty on a long-haul flight. Price was quite good. I always feel the flights originating from Europe are nicer than those originating in the US."
Cons: "The food was stuck in the past, roll, white cheese, white cake with sugary fruit, somewhat wilted small salad and a pretty greasy chicken dish with polenta and by that point, stewed veggies. I am not accustomed to eating like that and was disappointed (though hungry!). Not a whole lot of room in my seat, I'm 5'6" and slim, but at least the seats recline and glide forward a bit and the head rest bends to catch your head IF you can nod off. I appreciate the civility that still exists under stressful circumstances."

Pros: "Flight made up for delayed departure so we could get off that flying relic earlier. Had enormous storage bins against outside seat in upper deck business section. Great choice of movies."
Cons: "Bizarre seat design and foot cubbyhole meant I could not find a single comfortable position for 8 hours and I am only 5'10". Awful screen technology in unusual swing out mounting lacked sharp focus except for text screens. Pitiful screen control software. Bizarre flight progress animations."

Pros: "The crew was great, the aircraft new and tidy, the flight arrived a bit early, the food and beverage options were solid. Loved the complimentary wine and beer! Good movie selection."
Cons: "I was assigned a different seat than I selected when booking - lost my aisle spot although I checked a few days ago and a seat of my choice was clearly assigned on my reservation. The airline agent in the airport was rude and not helpful."

Pros: "While showing wear and tear, the business seats are great - comfortable with nice design"

Pros: "everything from the boarding and check-in process to in flight comfort."

Cons: "Flight was late causing us to miss our connection to Las Vegas, NOT HAPPY"

Pros: "Smooth boarding and flight, fun snack (cakes on a plane!), relatively quick and easy."
Cons: "I can't think of anything to complain about for European commuter flights."

Pros: "The in flight entertainment was excellent."
Cons: "I am disabled and we called the 24 hours in advance as requested to book seats with more leg room, accommodation for my autistic son's service dog, and special meals for my two children. None of these things were done as were booked even when presented with confirmation number provided by the central booking office. To top it off my daughter is allergic to peppers and her allergen free meal contained peppers."

Cons: "I paid for a reserved window seat so I could sleep. The passenger next to me was such a large man his arms and shoulder came way over into my seat space and I had to sit in an awkward and very uncomfortable position twisting my back for the entire flight. I cannot believe I paid extra to be in this position. My back still hurts from being in that position for 9 hours. I was miserable the entire way. And I paid extra for this discomfort. The big guy was plenty comfortable as he took up my seat space and slept well. Not happy at all with the flight and how Lufthansa crams people into seats."

Pros: "Smooth landing in Chicago."
Cons: "The crew in my section near the rear of the plane was competent, but snippy. None seemed approachable. I contrast them with the Lufthansa crew from Toronto to Munich who were short-handed but so pleasant even though they were overworked due to some crew members not showing up. Lufthansa food is average at best. The central restroom area on the MUC to ORD flight became filthy. Aren't crew members supposed to police that area? Or are passengers supposed to bring rubber gloves to clean it halfway through the flight?"

Pros: "Nice, comfortable , spacious seats in premium economy. Nice attendants."
Cons: "temperature in the Premium Economy sections was freezing. Me and the person next to me wore 3 blankets each and were still shivering from the cold. The windows had ice on them (on the outside of course). Several people got up and wore their jackets and sweaters in addition to the blankets. In the Economy section the temperature was just fine (my husband sat there) and we had to alternate seats so that I don't freeze. He paid extra for me to have a more comfortable arrangement, but it ended up being way too cold. That did not happen on the way to Europe..."

Pros: "Upgrade because of delay, escort to airplane, baggage service"

Pros: "The flight attendant who brought the vegetarian meal that I had cancelled was quite solicitous and apologetic. I was impressed with her."
Cons: "I had ordered a vegetarian meal on the flight from Chicago to Munich. It was largely carbohydrate, not much if any protein, white rice and vegetables (vegetables were good). For the return flight I had cancelled the vegetarian meal, but then on the flight they brought it to me. I indicated that I had cancelled the vegetarian meal about a week earlier, but they did not have enough meals to give me something different. This was a disappointment. This meal too was largely carbohydrate of a refined nature."

Pros: "Seats comfortable. Decent legroom. Crew pleasant. Food was very good especially for a very short flight."
Cons: "I did not know I had purchased economy light ticket. With this you can only carry on 18 pounds and must check and PAY to check any other bag. I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."

Pros: "Crew was great, movies we good. Plane was nice, drinks were readily available. After our missed connection the employee that got us our hotel was very nice and helpful."
Cons: "Even if everything was on time we would have had a very hard time making our connection to Austin after customs and security in Chicago. The tickets never should have been sold that way."

Cons: "A disaster but was able to arrive 5 hours later to my destination. Better than a day late."

Pros: "Upgrade to business class. Staff was accommodating"
Cons: "Seats were situated next to the bathroom"

Pros: "Safe and efficient transportation."
Cons: "The entertainment system wasn't functioning so there weren't any viewing options presented. The crew failed to mention that the United app provides movies on your phone."

Pros: "The service was absolutely amazing! Even though I was sitting in economy, I was offered something to drink before take off and at least 5-10 times throughout the 9 hour flight. The food was really good for airplane food and it was a nice touch to have an actual plate and silverware. When you're traveling, those little touches make a big difference. The entertainment was wonderful - the screen on the back of the seat was really responsive and had a wide selection. I watched three movies and played several games."
Cons: "My only criticism was the boarding process seemed a bit disorganized. I guess I'm used to boarding by zones or numbers. This was just sort of a free for all. But if that's my only criticism, that says a lot about the flight!"

Cons: "The narrow seats: it is not fun to travel with four elbows in your ribs. Try it some time."

Pros: "The crew was great, very friendly and attentive. Sitting in Economy plus is acceptable comfort wise. Captain was very communicative when there was a mechanics issue and delay, much appreciated."
Cons: "United check in desk was unnecessarily long wait, other airports/airlines have a better flow. The screens on the seat backs on 767 are ridiculously small and stuttery. The main meal was not very good, pasta sauce was gross, could've done better with prego."

Pros: "We arrived 15 minutes early, which is always great!"
Cons: "They ran out of the chicken for dinner and only had manicotti left, which was horrible! No apologies for running out of 1 of the 2 options. The audio was horrible. In order to watch the movies, I had to hold the cord in 2 places in the exact right manner, or it would cut out and there would only be silence. Not fun trying to maintain that position for 9 hours."

Pros: "Trip was very comfortable. I was also upgrades which was very nice. I will check the rates for Lufthansa every time I go to Italy. It is the airline of my choice. Also the plane was new and very clean. Thanks Vince F. Chicago"

Pros: "We went to my brother's funeral. Due to the check-in agent, we were able to sit together which made our return flight more enjoyable. He also upgraded us to Economy Plus which we - of course - appreciated."
Cons: "The food seems to be getting worse and worse. In addition to providing food, why 'they' don't sell 'gourmet' food?"

"Flight were delayed which made me miss all the other flights. Bags are still missing from 2 weeks ago. This airline is worse the Spirit Airlines!"

Pros: "Comfortable"

Pros: "meal"

Cons: "Quite narrow seats and seat pitch in economy, but the price was right. Poor quality seatback screens but a good selection of films and tv"

Pros: "Seat reassignment went well. Lounge was a pleasant surprise (highly recommend if you fly out of / through Helsinki)"
Cons: "It makes little sense to be on a priority boarding, when you are checked-in, documents checked and …… then wait for 20 or so minutes standing on your feet waiting for actual boarding to begin"

Pros: "Everything! I never knew that Finnair was such a great airline."
Cons: "Honestly, nothing could have been better."

Pros: "Helsinki is a convenient connection to fly to the U.S. One of Finnair planes was damaged earlier in Chicago and they used AirItaly to operate this flight. I was traveling with a recent wrist fracture and I was lucky I had an empty seat next to me that allowed me to move my arm a lot to avoid swelling."
Cons: "Our boarding was an hour and a half delayed"

Pros: "I will recommend to my friends and families."

Pros: "The crew is excellent. Very friendly, professional, and helpful. Both on board and at the desk inside the airport. They listen to your needs and respond the best they can. Seats are comfortable enough for Economy. Good selection of movies to watch. The flight was on time and arrived even a little earlier than expected."
Cons: "The food was filling, but not particularly tasty. For those seated toward the back, there was no choice. Although maybe there was no choice to begin with. Normally, on international flights, for the first (bigger) meal at least, you are given two choices, such as meat or vegetarian, beef or chicken. The food itself wasn't great. The salad was below average on both flight, from and to Chicago. So was the desert. Drinks are offered once with each meal in very small glasses. Although there is a bottle of water from the start."

Cons: "Never made it to Chicago on original flight due to delays."

Pros: "Crew was nice and helpful"

Pros: "The staff were exceptional , good food."
Cons: "Not really business class seats."

Cons: "I didn't like that seats originally assigned after the flight was booked were changed right before the boarding. This is a nonsense. Why would you do that?! Without notifying prior to check-in."

Pros: "People, service and food were great. Everyone had free blankets, pI'll own and earbuds. Cost was also great."
Cons: "Seats a little tight."

Pros: "Very friendly and efficient service. Food on this flight was surprisingly good. All families traveling with children got gifts from the airline. Nice touch!"
Cons: "I flew economy class and my seat was not the best. I was in between two big guys. I suppose that was just bad luck."

Pros: "Was great on the way to Helsinki and extremely poor on the return trip."
Cons: "Seat pitch was horrible! Almost as bad as United and American. Very uncomfortable!"

Pros: "Airport was very comfortable to be at, Flight Crew was nice and helpful. Great movie selection to my taste. Plane landed"
Cons: "The temperature during the flight made my experience very uncomfortable. It was way too cold. I know that it could get chilly at the board and do take warm clothes with me just in case, but this was way too cold. Neither blanket nor my stuff helped. Another thing - I was sitting in the raw 50, and at the 49th raw crew ran out of chicken with only pasta left. ))) This happens, I get it. I've had it actually happened to me before on British Airways flights too couple of times. So it's not too big of a deal. I just wish that pasta tasted better)))"

Pros: "Crew was awesome. Entertainment was good."
Cons: "Plane was late leaving Helsinki due to broken latch, which made us late getting into Chicago. After landing we waited at least 45 minutes to get to a gate. It took at least 30 minutes to get off the plane and then getting through customs was a nightmare. Arrival board at O'Hare said plane was on time, but listed gate as 0, which of course doesn't exist so our ride home had no idea what was going on or what was taking so long and ended up waiting over three hours for us to get through everything to meet them."

Cons: "They run out of food choices by the time they got to me."

Pros: "The stewardess was really sweet and funny! She was very accomodating even though there was high stress because the flight was late."
Cons: "The flight was 30 minutes late, which made it really hard on a few passengers, myself not included, who had transfers."

Cons: "We had to sit on the runway for a very long time after landing and I missed my connecting flight. It also took a very long time to get a hotel assignment because I was stuck in Chicago overnight. The finnair air agents at ohare were not very understanding or helpful. I was sent from their line to American Airlines and then back again. They were slow. We waited in the line for a long time for someone to come and help us. overall they were not very apologetic regarding the fact that I was stuck there overnight. It took soooo long to get to the hotel. I arrived there well after midnight. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY FLIGHTS ARE BOOKED SO CLOSE TOGETHER. NO LAYOVER TIME IN BETWEEN MEANS MISSED CONNECTIONS! THIS HAPPENED BOTH WAYS ON MY TRIP. VERY ANNOYING"

Pros: "It was interesting that the flight from Helsinki to Chicago served a Indian style dinner comprising of lentils, rice and chickpeas. I liked that too, though I prefer the meditarranean fare. My kids liked the macaroni and meat dinner. The plane was clean and comfortable"
Cons: "The flight attendants could have been a bit more cordial and smiling. The dessert was only a choclate. Would have liked something better. Entertainment needed more variety. Boarding was a bit of a mess as they did not let families board first and were not very accomodative of families with small children, though I had a 9 year old, but there was a family with two very small children and they were not very helpful to them."

Pros: "Entertainment, quick de boarding, food tastes good, free drinks"
Cons: "Extra long boarding process and the air conditioner was broken. We sat there like that for at least 30 minutes. Also, the airline had overbooked so we weren't able to check in the day before and pick our seats. That was a huge inconvenience."

Pros: "Entertainment options were fine. Crew was courteous. Boarding was fast. Flight was on time."
Cons: "Economy seats were more cramped than other international economy flights I have been on. My knees were against the seat in front of me the entire 9-hour flight. There were supposed to be 2 options for meal, but by the time I was served there was only one remaining. The meal itself was passing."

Pros: "The food was surprisingly pretty good"
Cons: "It was an old plane (A330-300). The seats are not very comfy, not much leg-room, and not very stable (i.e., when others are getting up in front or behind you)"

Pros: "Finnair lost my luggage on my way to Sweden. However, they upgraded my seat to Business class during my flight home from Helsinki. It was great!"

Pros: "The gluten free meal was pretty bad."

Pros: "Crew service is excellent"
Cons: "Sitting in the cramped economy seats was a 9 hour torture"

Cons: "Plane too small. Avoiding Airbus jets from now on!"

Cons: "Wasn't given vegetarian option for food and don't eat meat."

Pros: "The seat back video screen"
Cons: "not enough room...to tight. I'm a smaller person and it was too cramped. The food was inedible."

Cons: "I don't understand when a reason for flight delay is no aircraft. Wasn't it a scheduled flight? The €8 voucher is only enough to buy one glass of juice."

Pros: "The crew was courteous."
Cons: "Another passenger dropped a very heavy suitcase on my head. I have never been afraid for my safety before, but this time I was. I wasn't seriously hurt but what really upsets me is that the other person wasn't even reprimanded. Also, that suitcase was way too heavy and I'm surprised this person was allowed to board the plane with it. Also, boarding was horrible and the flight was late. I will never forget this experience and would avoid flying with Finnair ever again! This was really the worst flight I have ever experienced!"

Cons: "Could not watch any video on screen. Crew tried to reboot my and my partner's screens but they did not work for the 9-hour flight."

Pros: "Crew was fine"
Cons: "Seats are uncomfortable. They lean too far back too so that if the person in front of you is reclined all the way, you're quite uncomfortable. I was able to view the TV screen in front of me better than my own because the person in front of me was completely reclined."

Pros: "Everything was great. They made a nine hour flight actually enjoyable."

Cons: "Left the cabin lights on most of the trip and kept interrupting with announcements to sell duty free and other things when most people just wanted to sleep. Flight from Chicago to Helsinki was much better."

Pros: "Friendly and helpful crew"
Cons: "Boarding process was caotic. We were delayed boarding and arriving. No explanation. Meal selection ran out by row 46 (of 57?) Not choosing finnair to fly with again"

Cons: "This flight was delayed 5 and a half hours and did not arrive into Chicago until almost midnight."

Pros: "I was surprised with an amount of drinks and food provided.Everything was delicious, and we were very hungry so imagine our happy faces. The crew was professional in all ways.Flight was smooth and comfortable-applause for the pilots!"

Pros: "One cool things is that some of the moveis were translated with several different languages in addition to English and Europearn languages."
Cons: "Distance between the seats are short and seats are somehow uncomfortable."

Cons: "did not get to Helsinki in first place; flight from Warsaw to Helsinki canceled by Finnair (# 742) put in another plane, from other provider (LOT) going straight to Chicago; was not ready for it; we arrived at airport 2 hr before time of boarding and were rushed to plane going up in 45 min; very stressful; my daughter cried and we had no time to say good bays to family paid for selected seats - money not returned selected special meal - stayed hungry (8 hr fly) because they were not aware about our special needs; Finnair shold take care of it when canceling flight and putting us with other provider."

Pros: "The flight came on time and arrived in Chicago on time. The crew were friendly."
Cons: "The sound was out on my chair, so there was no sound to the movies. The food was really kind of junky and I decided against eating most of it so I wouldn't make myself sick. The meals could really do with more produce and a few more vegan options."

Pros: "Spacious, on time and smooth"
Cons: "There were no vegetarian options and I was unsure where to select a meal preference. This means that I did not eat anything for the duration of the flight....."

Pros: "The dinner tray was actually one of the best I ever had in a plane (except maybe for the bread). Flight was comfortable overall, I was just a little too hot, with no individual air vent."
Cons: "A little too hot, and no WI-FI. Other than that, great flight."

Pros: "Boarded, departed on time arrived early. Food was good snd served timely. Attendents were very friendly"

Cons: "I had a seat on an aisle, which was good. But, the TV / video screen did not work. Luckily there wasn't a passenger next to me, and I used that screen. I told the steward, but never got help with the screen. I had to " Lean " for the 9 hours. The bathrooms became gross after 5 hours. I don't need to explain."

Pros: "It seems a bit unfair to rate Finnair, when the flight was serviced by Iberia...that being said - everyone seemed to be put out by any request or basic question. The movies were really good and (UNLIKE the flight from Chicago to Madrid, where i was told they didn't do that) the stewardess on the flight home didn't mind giving me a second glass of wine."
Cons: "the people at the boarding desk in O'Hare were rude & indifferent. The flight attendants on way to Spain were non-existant The food was comically awful!!! The man at the check-in desk in Madrid could not have been ruder or less helpful (Hopefully for his wife's sake!) The food on the way home again was unfortunate.....that can NOT possibly be the best food any company can find in Spain. Hell - wed have been better off with a cheese & ham plate with some bread!!"

Pros: "The fact that I got home in one piece I really like."
Cons: "Planes are old, small tv screens in aisles, older seats and headrests. I had requested Gluten Free meals and on the way to Amsterdam they did okay (besides the snacks). On the way back they didn't even offer me the second meal GF, I had to ask another flight attendant who went looking for it and found one.. so it was there, they just hadn't bothered to look for it. I also never understand why you wouldn't start boarding with the last rows? Is that just me? The aisles are always so crowded when the last rows walk in and there's always a line."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Flight cancelled after 5h at the airport. Impossible to be booked before 5days..."

"Flight from Chicago to Los Angeles was terrible On my ticket said economy plus which that is what I paid for but didn’t get a seat As economy plus"

Pros: "Fuck Kayak for stealing my money and not allowing me to fly. I hope you lose all your business and force to shutdown."
Cons: "Kayak are nothing but fraud. Pure fraud. Took my money and I didn’t get the chance to travel."

Cons: "The plane was small. It was a quick flight though."

Pros: "I've flown SAS a few times and have always been favorably impressed with the service. On this flight we booked the "bare bones" fare and paid extra for checked bags and extra-legroom seats. The overall cost was still better than most other airlines."

Pros: "The plane is clean and comfortable. The boarding was easy."
Cons: "The staff on all SAS flights seem a little lazy."

Pros: "The flight itself was fine. We had a two-hour delay due to a mechanical issue, but the crew took care of it as quickly as they could."
Cons: "It was just a relatively quick, unremarkable flight."

Cons: "They seats were cramped and didn’t have a lot of cushion. The BBQ chicken lunch was not good. There needed to be more frequent water available"

Pros: "Only thing I like is seats and boarding experience"
Cons: "The terrible air hostesses rude arrogant and very disrespectful"

Pros: "The crew was nice and the food was good."
Cons: "More entertainment options"

Pros: "Easy to board, on time and food was good"

Pros: "Check in at the airport gate was handled professionally."
Cons: "Bought our seats 2 months in advance. One day before flight, saw our assigned seats were changed, someone had our original seats 31G/H, and we were put in 48C/D. Could not get any assistance to correct the situation until we were at the gate and by that time no comparable seats were available. Also, my husband spilled his drink; one of the attendants said he was too busy to help with cleanup. Fortunately, another attendant came over after my husband went to the galley to again ask for assistance."

Cons: "SAS is a train wreck. everything they told us was misinformation from the first delay (there were 5 delays, one each hour, before they cancelled) The whole time they would not allow ticket changes while we watched available flights take off for 5 hours. We had no say in the rebooking - they just said wait you will get an email. The SAS workers need to be trained - how about putting up a sign that says "this line for parking vouchers ony'ly" when 300 people are lined up for assistance."

Pros: "Flight left on time, plane was clean, the entertainment was good, and the food was good. The crew in this flight were polite and responsive."

Pros: "A lot of leg room"
Cons: "No snack served before dinner, no choice of dinner food. over see flight and the only food is dinner??? My laggage had priority tag but got out last and in resolt of it I missed the connecting flight to Boston!!! Damaged laggage"

Cons: "Old screens and poor movies selection, tight leg space, not really offered much to drink."

Cons: "Flight delayed, had to take 2 other flights to get to the final destination. Arrived at 9pm instead of 2pm."

Pros: "Price and destination was convenient"
Cons: "They said coffee and tea was complimentary but they didn't serve a number of people for some reason"

Cons: "I ordered vegetarian from their transfer office at the Copenhagen airport. Days before the return flight yet to chicago they had no record of my vegetarian meal The same transfer desk told me there were no morning flights to amsterdam the next day so they booked me 930pm next day, I found hour later a flight on Dad leaving 6am next morning, had to buy own toclet"

Cons: "I had requested an aisle seat and on both flights to and from Stockholm and Chicago had to sit on the very last row in the middle seat between 2 people who seemed to exceed the "weight allowance" that seem so important now when you flight unless you spend a lot a money on the ticket and it then becomes irrelevant !!"

Pros: "I was very comfortable in the new seats, I did not have to recline or move for over eight hours"
Cons: "still there is not enough legroom for tall persons"

Pros: "Highly efficient, no problems at all."
Cons: "I wouldn't mind a complimentary wine with dinner - other good airlines like to offer me a white wine with my chicken but here you have to pay for it.... Other than that I was happy with my travel!"

Pros: "Cannot think of anything."
Cons: "I am a road warrior and my job requires me to travel 100% of the time around the world. This was the first international flight I've been on where even small snacks such as peanuts or pretzels are for purchase only. Plus the flight attendants seem to be disorganized and in rush. I will never use SAS again."

Cons: "I order through Kayak, which took me to priceline...Got my ticket and thought everything was fine...Until I got to the airport, apparently I got a SAS lite ticket and they charged me to check 3 bags 210 Euros...Unreal. I think its pricelines fault because they did not even offer bagage as an option..."

Cons: "Got delayed 13-hours in an airport with no SAS staff present to communicate anything to all of the passengers. We were not accommodated with hotel vouchers or provided with alternative travel options to our final destinations and missed flights. SAS did not cancel the flight after the first 4-hours of delay which is illegal by EU Standards. None of us were able to leave the airport as we were not told any information about potential flight departure times and it would have been $2000 to re-book with a different airline. No answers were given by SAS over the phone and their staff seemed unaware of any problems."

Cons: "The seat next to me was open and they moved someone over next to me."

Pros: "The movie selection"
Cons: "To be boarded and wait for more than 45 minutes inside the plane for a second pilot."

Pros: "I liked the flight staff were friendly and helpful."
Cons: "The flight was delayed an hour and I almost missed my flight to Lubbock from Chicago. I'm also waiting on my luggage that got left behind due to the time of me catching my next flight. My connection flight was with United Airlines."

Cons: "This is my first international flight that didn't include complimentary beverages. No free wine or alcohol, and only ONE complimentary beverage on the entire 9 hour flight! They only came around ONCE with the beverage cart! (and this was like an hour and a half before they served dinner, which didn't include a drink). They also only came around and offered water ONCE on the flight. Normally this would be every 1-2 hours. Also, the flight was delayed by about 2 hours, and they didn't make an announcement until we were about an hour late. Thankfully, I was getting updates from Kayak, or else I wouldn't have even known we were delayed."

Pros: "Late delay and no service from flight staff"

Pros: "Clean planes, working entertainment, decent food"
Cons: "Delay (1 hour) in departing"

Cons: "Bag drop line was over 45 min. Only 2 attendants. Flight was late taking off. Baggage fee was outrageous. Site said 1 free bag, but that is carry on only. Checked bag was €70!!!! The flight was only $85."

Pros: "My flight was more pleasant from Stockholm to Chicago because I was able to purchase an upgrade to Plus."

Cons: "During online check in and through the website, I was informed that I would be able to have one free checked bag. I was never prompted that I would have to pay additional. However, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to pay an additional $75 to check my bag in even though my boarding pass stated I was able to check in one bag. I was then pushed back and forth through the airport to complete this process. I would have liked to be given warning if I had to pay any additional costs."

Pros: "Entertainment"
Cons: "Food was of poor quality, one free soda on a 8.5 hr flight."

Pros: "Everything was good"
Cons: "Everything was good"

Pros: "We were very impressed by the customer service and how comfortable our flight was. I will definitely fly with SAS again."

Pros: "Much roomier than united"

Pros: "Was upgraded to business class"

Pros: "Quick boarding and unboarding! Made up the time when we left a little late."
Cons: "Didn't get a little back of pretzels ;)"

Pros: "They checked my mobility scooter at the plane door, put it underneath and brought it back up to the plane door in Chicago. WHAT service!"
Cons: "I did NOT like the fact that this was NOT true in Copenhagen. I checked my mobility scooter at the plane door, they put it underneath, but was met by a man who said he was going to take me to pick up the scooter (in the baggage claims area--after I was promised in Chicago that it would be at the plane door when I arrived in Copenhagen). Made me get in an enlarged golf cart, and took me to the "transfer area" -- where I had to get into a wheel chair -- for the rest of the journey to the baggage claim area. Then he stood there waiting for a tip that was to NEVER come!"

Pros: "Entertainment system is very good - like 100 movies on demand even games available."
Cons: "Economy seats had little leg room; weren't offered a choice of entrees Make sure you call ahead if you need vegetarian meals."

Pros: "Your entertainment and SAS TV as well as landscape camera were great. Your pilots did a great job with getting us home extra fast inspire of boarding delay. I liked the crew a little more on tbd way to Sweden than on the way to Chicaho"
Cons: "Boarding was a little strange. Not sure why the gate stayed closed up until boarding time so passengers had to stand in line until actual boarding instead of being able to sit and relax. Also not sure why we weren't permitted to check in online like previous."

Pros: "Business class upgrade was very nice. Food was good and entertainment options were above par. Loved the quality of the pillows and blankets. Also loved the fresh fruit and candy snacks."
Cons: "The gate agents refused to provide my boarding pass until the entire plane had boarded already. I was one of the last people on. I wasn't given a reason for this or assured I wouldn't be put on a later flight. This caused a lot of stress during my layover."

Cons: "Flight was cancelled 2 minutes after departure time. Staff was rude when we tried asking questions. It took an additional 2 hours to rebook on another airline and we had to spend an extra night in a hotel near the airport."

Pros: "Comfortable seating in PLUS"

Cons: "The flight didn't even exist because of a strike and neither kayak nor SAS informed us the flight was canceled, so we found out after we got to the airport."

Cons: "Everything...I was not on the flight. The fight was cancelled due to the on-going Swedish pilot strike. The first option SAS provided was getting out in a week. I said that would not work. They then scheduled me on Lufthansa, but due to delays in Frankfurt due to weather we missed out connection to ORD. 4+ hours after standing in endless lines Lufthansa resheduled us the next day. But, it took nearly two days to get home."

Pros: "Everything was great! And it got better because of all the amenities we had because of the delay :)"

Pros: "The seats were comfy and the food was good. Air temperature was pleasant, not too war, or cold."
Cons: "Was no offered water during the flight. We had a bottle of water in the seat pocket but at no point during the flight were we offered additional water. I saw people get up and ask for some but when the flight is 9 hours you would think they would come by once or twice offering some. Other airlines do this and I love it. I was so thirsty when getting off the flight that I downed 2 bottles of water at the airport. They also didn't offer complimentary alcohol. Other international flights offer an alcoholic drink with your meal free of charge and I appreciate that. I have a bit of anxiety when I fly and that helps take the edge off. I was really disappointed in this. Heck, Air Berlin comes around and refills your wine glass multiple times."

Pros: "Better"

"From using an app that denied my negative covid test THREE times because they misread it and tried to mislead me about it ("Maybe the date isn't specified?" when it very much was and I'd drawn attention to its correct location); to the fact that my connecting flight wasn't even available in this app was supposed to determined whether I could fly to my final destination; ti the fact that a supposedly vital piece of documentation wasn't even mentioned in that app; to the unnecessary delaying of a connecting flight by several hours that was suddenly on time again upon landing minutes only late, which somehow required all passengers with ANY connecting flight to run to their gate regardless of destination; to the fact that the boarding passes didn't include my initial return flight and only the connecting, which was cause to be denied entry to the airport, to the apparenly unknown and much disputed location of the check-in where I would have to report to get said boarding pass; to the ONE HOUR WAIT behind maybe 20 people total in spite of having no bags to check because again, I had no boarding pass; to the app incorrectly stating that no additional covid test was needed only to find out after having been at the airport THREE HOURS; to the fact that my itinerary"couldn't" be changed because it was "in flight" while the "fare difference" I would be charged went up $100 every hour I was forced to wait because there were magically no notes regardingmy flight every time I called back as directed; this was a miserable experience all around. Never recommending aer lingus to anyone ever and certainly won't fly it again."

Cons: "Kayak is a horrible company and not easy to work with. They have screwed me royally and I will say nothing but bad things about them. They should not even be in business the way they have handled my situation including hanging up on me multiple times and changing the rules for flight changes, etc. Saying I am unhappy is an understatement."

Pros: "I almost missed my next flight from Dublin to Chicago. There was not enough time between flights with current security measures. Your site should not have suggested those two flights so close."

Cons: "Flight not being delayed"

Cons: "Not getting bumped from a flight set up 2 months ago"

Pros: "The flight was on time and boarding/de-boarding was very easy. there was ample overhead storage for everyone."
Cons: "Extremely uncomfortable seats (I travel internationally multiple times a year and am used to long flights). Other international flights include beer or wine The food was mediocre at best"

Pros: "Crew members, pilots, food, entertainment."
Cons: "Couldn’t pre print boarding passes."

Cons: "Dublin airport was very confusing! Inconsistent information about gate and flight details in the monitors - was stressful enough that flight was delayed"

Pros: "Overall, the airline is nice with decent entertainment and food"
Cons: "Every time I book with orbitz, even months in advance, I get seated in the last seat of the plane so I am in the toilet"

Cons: "I booked this in March and was seated 20 rows away from my wife who was on the same itenerary. Seats were cramped and uncomfortable and the food was terrible"

Pros: "When I think of international, I think of the huge airplane with 3 rows of seating, an extra inch of leg space for us economy flyers ...this was basically a domestic airplane and the staff was polite but nothing over the top."
Cons: "Squished like sardines. And my luggage is broken."

Pros: "Basicbflight. Got us there."
Cons: "Late leaving resulted in huge rush through transfer in Dublin. Not really a fan of the "just go ahead and board" approach, bit it seems to work."

Pros: "Flight was good, food excellent and great service"
Cons: "We don't fly only every 5 years, so out of the loop on how to get around, booked with BA, but flew with Aer Lingus, please give us that info on our tickets! Dublin airport was horrible for us 68 yr. Olds to get around in."

Pros: "I loved the timeliness of the food service, and the options available for beverage service. The selection of movies and music available on the TV screen in the seat back was great, and allowed the time on the long plane ride to pass a little faster. The captain was extremely informative, about our flight path, the wind conditions, weather at our destination, etc. I particularly enjoyed the information he provided, because on some flights, you rarely hear from the person flying the plane."
Cons: "The boarding process was interesting: those that needed assistance and business class 1st (understood), but then front of the plane, back of the plane, and finally the middle. I don't feel this made things go any faster - we still waited in line for quite some time in the jetway. I don't understand having front, back, and middle. Just let all economy get in line, or do something efficient like load the window seats first, the aisle, and for the seats in the middle of the plane, have the middle seats load 1st, and then the aisle seats. Seats got uncomfortable during the flight. Also, the person in front of me reclined ALL the way, so the top of her seat was only a few inches in my face. Most flights I have been on don't allow the seats to recline that far. I could barely get out of my seat to get up and go to the bathroom."

Pros: "Seating location was as expected and service was great. We enjoyed the overall flight experience. In hindsight, I did appreciate the customs check in Dublin versus having to do it in Chicago. That ended up being a nice surprise."
Cons: "Not as rushed as with Milan, but still a lot of confusing check points with poor instruction along the way. More of an airport design than anything, but still it was 'unnecessarily' confusing."

Pros: "I paid extra for food and my seat so I don't like giving 5 stars for what I paid for."
Cons: "Changed my friends seat after she paid for bulkhead months ago! The woman in her original seat had just booked her flight two wk's ago!!!! and my friend hurt her knee on the trip and really needed the extra room!!!!"

Pros: "Seats comfortable, crew pleasant"
Cons: "My plane was broken, they had no idea when and if we were going fly away. Once the plane was brought to the gate, mechanics had the engine apart inspecting it. Then they caused a fuel spill during fill up which caused the fire trucks to come. This was very discomforting for 300 people waiting for 4+ hours to get on their plane. Once on the plane internet did not work, and my in seat entertainment was rebooting often. I spent 7+ hours at Dublin Airport, sick with a sinus congestion... Plus all the restaurants and shops were closed due to it being after hours of their operation. Last time flying this airline."

Pros: "Decent meals."
Cons: "Pretty frustrated with in flight movie unit. Audio kept dropping out. One time entire unit locked up for about 45 minutes and had to be reset."

Pros: "the service was very friendly and the food was very good. Checking in was easy and they were very helpful."
Cons: "the only complaint I have is that on the info page on the screens the maps doesnt work."

Pros: "Great flight crew. Decent leg room in coach. Plenty of good free food on this long international flight."
Cons: "The flight departed over two hours late. There were no updates despite the promise of one at a specific time. Bad communication with passengers in gate area."

Pros: "I liked doing immigration in Dublin rather than Chicago, even though the process was lengthy. We couldn't understand why, having done the automated system, the process was virtually repeated at the immigration desk. Queues were very long."
Cons: "As above plus my husband's seat arm was broken. The inflight entertainment system was a joke. Back of seat screens fitted but not working. Very distant ceiling screens and only one working before the whole system failed. Not acceptable on a long flight."

Pros: "The cree's energy and friendliness ."
Cons: "I don't think there were movies to be watched on the individual screens."

Pros: "The crew was really nice"
Cons: "I was put on probably the oldest plane they have. No outlets to charge phones, none of the headrest TVs worked, apparently you have to request vegetarian meal options in advance (news to me, these are standard on most other airlines). Would not fly again."

Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "We just returned home to New York from our trip to Amsterdam and Ireland. The trip itself was amazing despite the sub par customer service we received from Aer Lingus that definitely put a damper on our vacation. Our flight on Wed July 19th from NYC to Amsterdam went off without a hitch until we claimed our luggage, my brand new suitcase was covered with stains. Very disappointing but we went on to enjoy our time in Amsterdam. The real problems began when we flew from Amsterdam to Dublin, first we were seated all over the plane and worst of all when we arrived my husband's bag was lost. We went to customer service and completed the paper work. Everything my husband had for the trip was in that bag. Aer Lingus only texted him once and after that he had to call every day to check the status of his bag. Instead of exploring Dublin, we had to spend Sunday shopping to get him clothes for the trip. No word from Aer Lingus. Monday morning July 24 he calls to find the status of his bag. It was found in Amsterdam and was to be flown to Dublin and shipped to our next stop in Kinsale. We arrived Monday evening to find that the bag had not been shipped. Again no word from Aer Lingus. My husband called to find out the status and made arrangements to pick the bag up when we were flying back to NYC. We were happy the bag was found but my husband still was without all of his belongings for our entire trip. On Thursday July 27 we arrived at the airport early to retrieve the bag before we checked in to our flight. We were dismayed to find that there was not a person to talk to but a phone on a column to call to get help retrieving the luggage. There was a queue at the phone with people ahead of us in similar situations. Finally someone came out to escort my husband to get his bag. We were traveling with our son, and again our seats were scattered about the plane. There was no one at checkin to help us, and we didn't get help at the gate. So we had to sit separately for the 6 hour and 30 minute flight. When we claimed our bags, my bag now had tears along with the stains. This was a brand new suitcase and it is now ruined. My husband says he will never fly Aer Lingus again and this was the worst customer service he has had in his life. The customer service was virtually non existent."

Pros: "Flight went smoothly, staff were pleasant, seat was fine, entertainment worked well"
Cons: "The overall feel is that the staff are very rigid about their rules. They come down the aisle at their appointed times, but never just check up to see how people are doing. The rule about registering for a vegetarian meal 72 hours advance is ridiculous. there should always be meat-free options for people, not just vegetarians. The flight attendant was kind enough to find some fruit salad for me, out of the crew meals, but she shouldn't have to. in general they don't feel very warm or inviting."

Pros: "Most attendants were good, good choices on entertainment"
Cons: "Our attendant was less that helpfully, refused to provide a blanket suggesting that my wife get her own. Locked the lavatorys and had we to ask the good attendant to open for line of folks next to our seats. Never smiled once, maybe her new braces hurt but no excuse. Sorry sound guaility on movies was also poor"

Pros: "i liked nothing from the experience on this leg or the journey. I was frustrated and angry."
Cons: "The check in procedure in Amsterdam took almost two hours. Then I was late to the gate. There was no assistance getting to the gate for none of the passengers who experienced these delays."

Pros: "I liked the level of concern the crew had for making sure we didn't miss our flights after severe delays in Amsterdam."
Cons: "I didn't like the security process. It was redundant and not well thought out."

Pros: "The food was quite delicious. I liked the movie selections."
Cons: "Getting stuck in Detroit, failure to communicate, no food or water when we had waited on the tarmac over two hours in Detroit. Still no entertainment but air came back at hour three, then at 3.5 hours being told we are stuck in Detroit. Lost luggage, all a mess. Completely. No help to rebook, so I stayed in Detroit and got to the airport early the next morning and paid my own way to Omaha, through Chicago. Again, no help from the Aer Lingus hotline (tried/on hold for 2.5 hours with no human service) or the United desk."

Pros: "Wonderful, attentive crew, clean, comfortable seating, enough leg room for even a long limbed person. This was economy class!"
Cons: "Not much to say here. It was a great experience. My video screen only worked if it was just at the proper angle and the free earbuds have an horrible sound quality. I had my own...not an issue. Fly Aer Lingus"

Pros: "Great flight on this flight. Reagular earbuds work with entertainment system, seats were very comfortable with a bit of more leg room, again, the food was great."

Pros: "comfortable seat in economy class flight not crowded"
Cons: "no food or drink, unless I was willing to buy a bottle of water for $3."

Cons: "Delay after delay for hours and hours, and not even complimentary wine and beer like other airlines. Finally we're provided with a meal voucher after every restaurant in the terminal had already closed"

Pros: "Overall just fine for a budget airline."
Cons: "The dinners on the transatlantic flights were pretty terrible - probably would do better by offering something better for purchase instead of giving everyone a bad hot meal. Lost my luggage on the way home too."

Cons: "There wasn't any good food options and there was a charge for everything. Not good....."

Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "1. BA said I couldn't get a seat before 24 hrs before. Then when I tried to get a seat assignment I was told (by email) to contact Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus said that I should have called before 24 hrs before, and that seats were now in control of the gate (this still 22 hrs before flight time). Total lack of coordination. 2. At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

Pros: "The crew was phenomenal. They were able to handle the plane issues and boarding problems with a smile and did their best to accommodate and make things right but unfortunately had limited resources available to them."
Cons: "Did not like the 2.5 hour delay and plane de-boarding/change - this is something that should have been checked before 200 people were allowed to get on the plane and get situated. Also did not like the fact that I called ahead of time (5 weeks) to request a gluten free meal (which was on my flight to Dublin I will add) and it was not on my return flight to the USA. I was starving and was not able to eat that day because the cafes were closed in Dublin (Christmas eve), no food on plane, and because of a missed layover due to flight delay was scrambling to make the new connection and could not get food. Also, rescheduling for missed connection was a nightmare. Not enough personnel to assist in process and took over an hour just to get re-assignment information. Was sent to wrong gate and almost missed new connection. Then on top of that my luggage was lost and the american airlines operating staff sent me to the wrong terminal to make a claim and it ended up taking 1.5 hours longer than it should have just to submit my claim. This is on Christmas Eve mind you, after everything else that is happened that day on this nightmare of a flight. I realize American Airlines is just a partner airline, but you choose to partner with a company that provides sub-par service and an inability to resolve issues so I suggest finding a new partner if you want your customers to have better overall experiences."

Pros: "Worst experience flying of my life and I've flown quite a lot. Showed up for my flight in Amsterdam to a connecting flight in Dublin to sfo for Christmas. They told me I didn't have a seat on the ams-Dublin flight. Waited and asked everyone with aer Lingus who was available which was one woman who ignored me as much as possible whether I would make it home for Christmas. No info given. Finally got thrown (literally) a ticket after the plane was completely boarded. Barely made my connecting flight in Dublin. Arrived in sfo and my luggage never arrived. A week later, after countless phone calls, bag descriptions, and headaches, my luggage was located in Dublin. I just received my bag today with everything I needed for Christmas but didn't have. Basically aer Lingus ruined my Christmas 2016 and I still can't figure out who to log a complaint to. Worst airline ever."

Pros: "Very quiet flight, so lots of space to spread out. Good in flight entertainment/. Flight was on time and arrived ahead of schedule."
Cons: "Gate agent Ciara was extremely rude.. I was told when boarding that not able to take a coffee that I had literally just purchased on board - I travel frequently and have NEVER been told this before.. I always buy a coffee and take on baord teh fligth as airline coffee sucks! This needs to be made clear if this in in fact an Aer Lingus policy. This was one of the many stupid rules that were constantly effected during the flight -" you can't do this, you can;t do that" and whilst i understand some are for safety - I and fellow passengers felt like we being scolded like school children"

Cons: "Showed up an hour and a half before departure time at Chicago OHare and there was no one staffed at the check in desk to print out boarding passes and they had no electronic kiosk to print out boarding passes either. There was just a sign that said call customer service. Then the several passengers that were never boarded for the afternoon flight due to the unavailability of staff were asked to pay $200 to get on the next flight due to "corporate policy." We refused and booked another airline. Horrible customer service."

Pros: "The crew was friendly. They were efficient and easy to understand."
Cons: "Nothing wrong here."

Cons: "The flight was delayed for an hour and a half causing me to miss my connecting flight back to the US. Because I missed my connecting flight, they had to reroute me through Boston and then to San Francisco. I paid extra for an upgraded seat and they still sat me in a middle seat. To componsate for the 8 and a half hour delay and two brutal flights, they gave me a meal voucher for 8 Euros. I won't be flying Aer Lingus anytime soon. Of the three flights that I had with them this trip, two were severely delayed. I'm exhausted!"

Pros: "Everything was smooth, movie selection was good, food was good."
Cons: "Our flight attendant seemed a bit grouchy the whole flight, but all the other ones were warm and hospitable."

Pros: "The crew is helpful and efficient. Not a whole lot of smiling. The food is good. Even though we ran out of the chicken choice for dinner ( which was my first choice), since I was sitting in the last row I was left with beef-chili. It was very good. For snack I had the chicken sandwich and that was excellent as well. The leg room is ok. My only problem is the entertainment. The selection is limited. Some of the movies are old ( Goodfellas, Godfather). Maybe 30 movies overall and that includes the animated ones and documentaries. The TV selection is ok. I usually use closed caption that was not available for most of the movies."

Pros: "My in flight entertainment screen did not work."
Cons: "on flight from London to Dublin my luggage got lost in Dublin terminal. The staff at the connecting flight counter went way out of their way to find it and escort me all the way through Irish customs to the on-site American customs and Immigration. Without their help I would have missed the flight from Dublin to Chicago."

Cons: "Read above"

Pros: "The person next to me was pleasant to talk to."
Cons: "I tried to check in online three or four time and the web site would not work! I tried to purchase a seat that would allow me some leg room, but it did not happen! I'm 6'4" tall and placing me in a middle seat is almost a crime for me and the people around me. It was almost impossible to get out of the seat to use the restroom or to stretch and it was miserable. I fly all the time on long flights and this is in second place for my worst flight ever!!!Please call Tina at (208) 659-4799 To see the apartment."

Pros: "Pilots and crew were courteous and professional"
Cons: "Cabin temperature was too cool."

Cons: "The entertainment service in my seat was not working. I had to ask two different flight attendant in 3 times occasions for help. Finally, one of them told that she could only do something after finishing serving food to the plane (worth mentioning that at this time, she hadn't start serving food). After 3,5 hours (on a 6,5 hour flight) she said that her colleague would re-start the system. After 30 more minutes, and after I went to asked what happened, she said that the system was not functioning and that there was nothing else she could do other than giving me some refreshments."

Pros: "The lady at checkin was very gracious and found seats for all of us together. I was also thankful that she gave us exit row seats"
Cons: "Aer Lingus website is difficult to navigate. Boarding passes do not transfer electronically to my smart phone. Seats are too hard and are therefore uncomfortable. Entertainment screen did not respond to touch very well. Screen crashed twice during the trip. Earphones only worked in one ear and had poor sound quality."

"I bought insurance and everything cancelled 1 month ahead of time all they gave me was a sorry and no refund back even with premium service attached."

"Poor selection of movies. Perhaps 30 or 40 movies available and none of them "new" in the last 6 or 12 months. Seat was fairly hard -- tough for 6 hour flight from Reykjavik to Chicago!"

Pros: "On time. Good entertainment."
Cons: "No free food, limited beverage service, pushy crew."

Pros: "The crew was very attentive. They constantly made sure we were hydrated and comfortable."

Pros: "The crew was very nice and helpful."
Cons: "I wish that a snack or small meal were included with the flight."

Pros: "Although I was in Economy, I got a window seat with no one next to me, which made things a lot less cramped."

Cons: "After paying for 2 seats next to each other, Iceland Air decided to change the aircraft and reboked us on regular seats. I am 6ft6 with bad back therefore booked the extra legroom seats and want to have my wife next to me to assist me with putting the carry-on lugage up in the spaces above. We ended up sitting 3 seats apart, I was in the extra legroom seat but in a middle seat,so I could not put my feet in the isle to prevent leg cramps. When we boarded the flight from Reykjavik to Boston I notified the stewardess and she assured she would help, but I never saw her again and no one came to our help. Also when we entered the REK airport after flying from Amsterdam we were not notified to keep our passport on us, as we needed to go tru another checkpoint. My wife had our pasports and went to check some shops, while I was reading a newspaper. After noticing that I could not go to the boarding area for our next flight, I was able to locate my wife and we barely made it to the gate in time."

Pros: "Crew was good."
Cons: "Boarding in Reykjavík was a mess. Biggest problem was that the flight was delayed over an hour, but the boarding times were only changed at the gate by ten minutes each time - and with no seating at that gate that meant everyone was standing around for over an hour."

Cons: "The replacement planes that Iceland Air are renting were horrible. The seats were super uncomfortable and small. No matter your size you were sitting essentially on the person next to you. All of the food was extremely high priced and the options weren’t very good. The TVs didn’t work either"

Pros: "Flight delayed due to mechanical keep us informed."
Cons: "The layover is to tight, in a delay either you or your bag doesn't make it. Our flight was the last flight for the day , we ran to make our connection but half the bags didn't make it."

Pros: "I slept through this flight. Everything was fine."

Cons: "The attendants kept bumping the seats when they walked by."

Pros: "The crew was nice"
Cons: "No new movies for entertainment, lost luggage, has to pay for food"

Cons: "I couldn’t make that flight since my flight from Paris was canceled. I hope I get refunded from the upgrade to business class I paid for."

Pros: "Seat was good, crew friendly, easy boarding"
Cons: "Newer movies, better sound from media screen, food"

Cons: "There was no definitive guidance on gate changes and time changes. I, along with many fellow passengers were given conflicting information via emails, the departure board and Icelandair website. The ground crew also could not provide much information."

Cons: "Wish they served ANY free food"

Pros: "Nice leg Space"
Cons: "They were missing lots of food on the menu. There was an delay but we didn’t get any info or apology."

Pros: "We saw Greenland from the plane with the glacier, very nice! Comfortable plane!"
Cons: "The hostess we’re not friendly..."

Pros: "Nice service"
Cons: "Long waits to board, wait for bus from term to plane; no clear direction from gate staff as to where queues were"

Pros: "Overall friendly staff and enjoyed the free movies"
Cons: "Long wait on shuttle to airplane"

Cons: "N/a"

Pros: "From Amsterdam to Reykjavik was not so bad."

Pros: "I checked in online as early as possible and was able to change my seat from the back of the plane to Economy comfort without any additional cost. Ended up in the front of the plane with lots of legroom and a comfortable seat. First round of drinks they provided the whole can of soda, almost unheard of on flights anymore."
Cons: "Boarding process was a cattle call. No boarding by back of the plane to the front or any organization, just a mass convergence on the boarding gate. If you're going to offer food on the plane for sale, at least take cash for the purchase. The only way you could buy food was to use plastic. Not a great selection of movies on the entertainment line up. The screens and volume control were quite decent, just not a large selection to choose from"

Pros: "More relaxed travelling experience that with many other airlines. From check-in right through transfers and to arrival my experience was very positive. Staff were friendly and helpful. There weren't any real occasions where I needed something changed or sorted, which shows that the pre-work was excellent and works. Thank you."

Pros: "This was our first flight with Iceland Air and we kind of looked forward to it. On the way oversease we were immediately rebooked onto Swiss Air, before arriving at the airport, because Iceland Air had a delay and knew we would miss our connecting flight to Germany. We were very impressed by this and very happy with Swiss Air, also. On the way back we liked the roomier plane and the relative punctuality of the flights. Our luggage arrived fine and quickly at the end destination, despite the short layover, which often leads to lost luggage."
Cons: "Our biggest complaint is that Iceland Air does not offer meals as part of your ticket on its flights. They expect you to upgrade (and pay) for 'economy comfort' in order to get the meals and seating included in most other regular economy tickets. I don't think that being on a 6.5 hour flight (and a 3.5 hour flight immediately before without chance of making puchases at the airport in between, due to their delay) without a meal being included in your ticket is acceptable practice. They had a meny from which you could purchase food, things like baguette with ham/cheese, salad, oatmeal, instant noodles etc. But the prices for these cheap cafeteria options were insane. From the cheapest ($7 for a small instant oatmeal) to $16-$20 for a salad or small main course you would have to spend an additional 25-35$ per meal per person to get the usual airplane meal that all other airlines I know of include (2 per overseas flight). We did go hungry, eat candy, bought one little oatmeal and pretty much will avoid Iceland Air for that reason in the future. We thought it was outreageous to be asked to spend this amount of money or go without food for over 9 hours."

Pros: "The services and staff is great in the plane"
Cons: "While boarding the flight from amsterdam the plane was too hot and suffocated due to some technical difficulty. I almost passed out sitting at my seat until they gave me some cold towels and cold water. the temperature inside the plane was at 35C and everyone was sweaty before the plane took off and the engines got rolling."

Pros: "On time arrival, smooth flight, efficient service, good price."
Cons: "Seats lack sufficient padding in the back...second trip to Iceland, second back ache on the plane. And for a 5.5 hour flight, even a small snack or breakfast item would be appreciated. No food at all unless purchased separately isn't sustainable, even in this market, in my opinion. That and the seats just annoy people."

Cons: "Arrived at airport and could not drop off checked bag, had to wait 1.20 hours for staff to take care of this. Very confusing at AMS where I should go, please provide better signage for Iceland Air where check-in resides. Flight was delayed in taking off with no communication for reason why, and my connection was close enough to next flight that I nearly missed the flight. No complimentary snacks offered."

Cons: "My laggade not arrived - both of our bags , my and my husband . There are all of hot closes there . It not possible to begin a trip in Iceland without special equipment !!!"

Pros: "Iceland air has easy check in, fast boarding, basic seat comfort and leg room. I'm 5'10" and felt adequate room to stretch my legs."
Cons: "Only allow 1 checked luggage overseas, and they ask you to pay for food and beverage."

Pros: "Staff is very friendly and easy to get to and from connecting flights. Chairs are reasonable but still too little leg room"
Cons: "The slick jetway stairs when it rains or snows. Disorganized check in in Amsterdam , but that is a reflection on the subcontractor."

Pros: "The entertainment system was great. There were tons of movies that were available in flight which was nice."
Cons: "The crew was not that nice, there wasn't even a snack offered (I was told no multiple times when I asked for water), and they failed to keep us updated on all delays/connections. I was very disappointed when we were delayed 45 minutes and were given no updates as to the delay. We had a connecting flight from Reykjavik to JFK and we landed 10 minutes before the connecting flight was to take off. No one on board made an announcement or really knew what was going on. For an airline that has branded itself "my stopover" they should have reassured and updated all passengers as to connections and delays. It was very nerve wracking and did not need to be that way. Very disappointing."

Pros: "Seemed like there was extra leg room, compared to our last flight on American, where my husband's legs were literally touching the seat in front of him when he sat down. I also appreciate when the headrests have those little wing things so it makes it easier to fall asleep in a chair by keeping your head in place. The blankets were cosy. The crew was super efficient. It's the fastest I have ever gotten my drinks on a plane. They also seemed to be very helpful to the family with small children ahead of us, and seemed to help the baby stop crying, which was nice."
Cons: "I wish I knew in advance that we would have had to pay for food so that I could have gotten some food (because in general I assume for transatlantic flights that there are meals included. The boarding process was a bit jumbled, although still pretty efficient, but I think that's because of the airport layout rather than a fault specifically of the airline."

Pros: "What's nice is Iceland air allows free seat selection."
Cons: "Icelandair offers no meals or snacks on an overseas 7+ hour flight. That's pathetic. I don't mind cutting corners to save air fare price, but you have to offer SOMETHING to eat, a cold sandwich, chips, anything, other than beverages. They only make like once beverage pass during the 7 hours, which is also cheap. The movies are extremely old. I think there was one movie from last year. Otherwise their old favorites. The movie/TV/music selection is pretty poor. So either bring your own movies to watch or sleep, which is also hard. Iceland's international Keflavik airport, is in need of improvement if they're going to try to increase tourism. While it was Nov, and short days, it was windy and snowing. They use buses to get you to the plane or you have to walk about 50 yds. If you're carting big carryons, are seniors or handicapped, it's rough. You don't want to wear a coat for this short boarding/deboarding because you don't want to have to store it in the overhead. They need to get gangways for boarding or provide something for people wait in. There is no waiting area with seats while you wait for your plane. On one departure, people were sitting on the stairs or floors. There are some waiting areas, but they're away from the gates, and not enough seats. What made it worse, they had three flights leaving almost the same time from gates next to each other. There were crowds and lines that made no sense, people were cutting inline, and it was chaos. They don't know how to run an airport. Amsterdam didn't have waiting areas either or they were very small Not the typical American airport waiting areas we're used to. At Amsterdam you do your own boarding and luggage check in, which is confusing the first time you do it. There are things I like about European travel, but this isn't one of them."

Pros: "Boarding was efficient. Very comfortable seats. Crew was very attentive."
Cons: "Check-in could have been better, it took much longer than needed. Knowing that meals would not be served, there was therefore very little time to eat something first and by snacks for the flight, despite the fact that we arrived more than two hours ahead at the airport."

Pros: "price"
Cons: "boarding is so unorganized, small seats, no snacks or anything on transatlantic flight only good thing is getting off the plane when you arrive!!!!"

Pros: "Clean, friendly, loved the personal entertainment system and blankets/pillows."
Cons: "Food options were lacking - there were options listed on the "menu" that the staff said they hadn't had stocked in a long time. Also very expensive for what you get. There should be SOMETHING included, even if just snacks, for a $900 flight to Iceland."

Cons: "Seats recline too much resulting in the person in front of me encroaching on my area. There was no free food or snacks on a international flight. The boarding area was a mess and no verbal instructions were given for boarding."

Cons: "This was a six and a half hour flight. Snacks could be purchased, but no meals were served. Other airlines would provide at least one and perhaps two meals on a flight of this length. There was a long delay to board, and no communication from the check in staff"

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Terrible boarding, no service or attendance, unprofessional and unfriendly attitude. I arrived 3 hours before departure and had to stand in lines that were not clearly defined for 2 and a half hours. Everybody complained. Even the luggage band when I checked my bag was broken. Nobody came to assist the passengers"

Pros: "The airplane was new and had a reasonable collection of movies in the personal entertainment system"
Cons: "Where to start... Keflavik is the worst layover airport I can think off. No space, no amenities, no bathrooms and the layout fircing you to go through a way overcrowded store and a single food option for all converging flights in a 2 hr timeframe. (Unless you hangout before passport check) Than Iceland air.. Even worse. No food, not even a snack for free. The food they do sell is last weeks pre packed leftover sandwitches from the airport shop. They stop by 2x during a 8 hr flight and have to see if they can get you a coffee. For kids they bring a free meal but this is a macaroni salad not catered for kids"

Cons: "The gate situation at the Iceland airport is terrible. They have no place for people to sit. We flew through Iceland from Amsterdam continuing on to Portland. When we went to our out bound flight there was no place to sit. Hundreds of people were sitting on the floor. Eventually it was standing room only for over an hour. Immediately adjacent to our gate were 4 other gates. All flight departures from these gates were scheduled with 20 minutes of each other! That's nearly 1,000 passengers gathering in a narrow concourse with no separate gate seating. Very miserable conditions. Need I say more."

Pros: "We did not know our gate was changed and went to the wrong gate. Our flight from Amsterdam was delayed and although we went straight to our next flight we almost missed it and two of our three bags did not arrive at Seattle when we did."
Cons: "I liked the northern lights effect of the flight from Seattle to Keflivick."

Cons: "I was told my flight was delayed, but they couldn't tell me why. The weather was beautiful and I didn't understand why there was a 2+ hour wait. By the time we landed in Iceland, I ran to make my connecting flight but was told the door just closed. So I had to 8 hours before the next flight out. After talking to representatives, I was told there would be a claims process for my troubles. It's been over a week, I still haven't heard back from them."

Pros: "I had an exit seat and was the first one of the plane. I get nervous on planes so sitting across from the flight attendant and seeing how nonchalant and calm she was during takeoff and landing was awesome and mildly soothing. She also didn't make any eye contact while I quietly freaked out..like a pro!"

Pros: "New, clean interiors of the planes, help getting wheelchairs in IAD, KEF, and JFK for wife"
Cons: "Flights constantly late, connections missed, luggage not catching up until the next day, terminal in Reykjavik small, dirty - toilets really small and very dirty and unsanitary, not calling for people that are in wheelchairs or need extra time boarding before the flight, having to use steps to get down from the 757 in Keflavik almost impossible for someone who needs a wheelchair for mobility, then crowded into a bus to get to the terminal, tight spacing for knees between seat rows"

Pros: "The entertainment system worked well."
Cons: "My flight leaving Amsterdam was delayed by two hours. Luckily, in an odd way, my connecting flight to NYC was also delayed by 1 and a half hours. I did not realize that we had to PAY for our food, so I ended up being hungry and not eating anything for the entire journey. We stayed on the Tarmac at jfk for close to an hour waiting for our gate to be open. And finally, all three of my bags did not make it New York. In fact, I'm still waiting for them. Very disappointing."

Cons: "No announcements were made that we were boarding, the flight was delayed (again - 3 out of 4 of our IcelandAir flights were delayed), and we boarded in the order that we were standing in line - extremely inefficient as everyone had to wait for everyone on the plane to put their bags away. This is handled much better in every airport I've ever been in, not sure why this can't be a MUCH better experience from Iceland."

Pros: "It was a fine flight. The crew are good."
Cons: "The flight was delayed and gates were switched. Food selection not great."
