Flight was delayed twice. The TV didn’t work, flight attendant said she would give me a voucher and never did.
JetBlue doesn’t inform their passengers of why the flight is delayed. If you land it and don’t get out of the plane yet they don’t tell you what you are still sanding in the plane. JerBlue doesn’t keep their passenger inform of anything. They really should be thankful that they are still in business and is that is to all their customers but they don’t value that at all.

The ostensible delay was the incoming plane, which landed before 10 PM but - lo and behold, it was an international flight, surely something we didnt know when it took off - it went to gate 94 and had to be cleared blah blah blah. Each delay was predictable and JetBlue could easily have simply informed the passengers that we would be delayed 90-120 minutes rather than stringing us along with bite sized delays with insipid explanations. If there was really anything to JetBlues "award winning customer service" I would imagine they would have not insulted everyone's intelligence and been honest about the delays - which pushed arrival time to 2 am. I travel a good bit - three or four times a month - but cant remember the last time I flew JetBlue. JetBlue will certainly be right there with Frontier and Allegiant on airlines I'll seek to avoid. I dont know if it was just base level incompetence or if they dialed it up for the occasion, but it was on full display for the holidays."

Pros: "The inflight crew was amazing. Natalie was a sweetheart and super helpful. She even gave some of us a tour of the galleys and taught us a few things about Mosaic customers as well as a few other operational things. I didn’t catch the other flights attendants names as they covered more of the back of the plane but they were both insanely hospitable and it was very clear that they loved their jobs as they were having fun. The women who checked us in also accommodated is with Even More Space seats after knowing we were crew members!"

When I asked one of the employees for the proper gate number they gave me another gate number that was incorrect I ran to that gate and the person there than give me the correct number but by the time I got to that gate I missed my flight After dealing with that I was lucky enough to talk to somebody who was helpful at the customer service table. She did her best to accommodate myself and three other friends unfortunately the next flight was over booked and only had two seats open. When I tried to explain to the attendants by gate A6 (Jackie and E Badi) that I have a party of four and I could not leave anyone behind they called security on me for not going on the plane. Once the security officers came they heard both stories saw that this was a waste of their time and told us all to file a complaint after getting the employees names. I would never recommend this airline to anyone traveling!!!"

So we were taken off air craft n put out in lobby, to wait for all to be off the aircraft and then transport, one at a time to baggage claim area. Transporters and stewardess did a very gd job. Just the lack of help. Air conditioner on plane was off, so even ten minutes of smell bathrm, is just too much when air conditioning is off. I got very congested and had to use the inhaler, after a couple of sneezes due to environmental allergies. On top of that, cleaning people got on to clean w chemicals, only to affect me some more. Now I stuffed up, feel horrible, nite was bad with asthma n allergies that could have been avoided."

They changed the gate 30 minutes before board - the new gate was very far away. The boarding was late 45 minutes. People were waiting standing because they didn’t even tell everyone what to do, what time they would start… it was a mess. Plane seats very very very uncomfortable.
This was a terrible experience as a first time spirit traveler. The flight was delayed for 5 hours and the agents did not verbally communicate with anyone regarding the delays. Last minute gate change was provided 15 minutes prior to boarding to only have us wait until 5:30 to board the flight. Complimentary snack and drinks could have been provided for the extreme inconvenience. I will never fly spirit again.

Cons: "They charge you for everything including water for three dollars. Their baggage has a maximum weight of 40 pounds unlike any other airline. They make you pay for carry-ons. They make you pay to pick your seat. You have to pay extra for everything so the bottom line is spirit is probably the most expensive airline to fly. The seats are tiny the trays are tiny, they don’t have TVs, seats do not recline. First and last time Flying with them. My bags were 42 pounds and 46 pounds and I had to pay and additional $30 for each of them."

Cons: "Airport • Kayak as a third party website usually gives a flat rate, we pay, and that’s it. Not with Spirit Airlines. When you get to the counter you HAVE TO PAY EXTRA for your carryon ($55) and your checked bag ($50). That’s an extra $100 that could have been used to purchase a flat rate flight through Kayak. • You can only pay with a card, you can barely use cash Flight • Seating was too tight, no room to stretch out • Snacks even the minimum was expensive. $4 for a 4 oz of juice with ice and more • When descending for landing the pilot circled around for a full hour- first we were over the incorrect airport then when we arrived at the correct airport there was too much air traffic to land right away. Between the surprise fees I did not budget for and the extra GS expenses, along with everything else, I will not ride Soirit Airlines again."

Cons: "im not one to complain but Wiskey Tango Foxtrot. I show up to the gate and they somehow canceled my reservation and gave my seat away! They put me standby on that same flight. We get to the gate and it's delayed an hour. After an hour it gets canceled because the flight attendants all called out!!! Seriously. Go to the front they put me on the next flight at 6pm (8 hours from the original flight I was booked for) That one gets delayed 2 hours and at this point the plane is over booked so I figured I'll just give up my seat and fly another day. Go to the front counter dude says the next available seat is in 12 days!!! And even if I want to change my flight the manger is on break. He turns to the guy next to him and in Spanish asked where she went and he said she went to the house. She is the only manger in the airport that has a code to change anything including giving my money back. So I book a flight with United and go back to the house. Worst experience ever. I'm in the military and fly constantly and have never had this horrible experience."

We were checking at the counter, that's when we found out. There were others that were shocked & disappointed also. We missed our family reunion in Orlando they didn't help us at all! I won't use Spirit Airlines again! We should be compensated but no one's trying to listen when we were calling customer service"

Pros: "The flight crew were very upbeat and friendly and made the flight enjoyable. The staff also played trivia games with the customers that kept everyone entertained. The flight attendant also gave my small son sticker wings just for flying and was beyond sweet."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed and we originally were all seated with out seat belts waiting to depart to only be told our flight was now delayed and that we all had to exit the plane and wait 2 hours. A flight delay is understandable but boarding and then having to get off was a little frustrating. The flight for the most part was comfortable but wished they at least had a front seat pocket to help hold items during the flight but instead only had elastic bands. Also the tray table is half the size of a normal one so holding a larger lap top is not that comfortable."

Cons: "The airlines weight limit on checked bags (which already cost the same as the ticket) is 40 lbs. anything 40-50 is an additional 30, and beyond 50 lbs is another $50. We tried 'saving' money for our trip by combining two adults luggage for a week into one checked bag instead of paying $39 a piece for a carry on. We were at 41 lbs leaving so in addition to the $41 for the checked luggage we had to pay the additional $30. On the way back, because we had purchased items on vacation and were only allowed two small personal items, we were over the 50 lb mark by 2 lbs and had to pay 55 to get our things on the flight. Don't waste your time with this airline if you want to take anything with you on your vacation."
Cons: "They separated us and put my 2 yr old all by herself 17 rows back and we have 3 children they put the other two children alone 3 and 8. They charged us for carry ons that were with in guideless except for the wheels on the return flight we didn't let them see the carry ons and no one said anything and were not charged the ripped us off on the out bound for 82.00"

Pros: "I was very surprised at how well everything went for my flight. It was my first trip with Spirit and I had heard awful things about it not being cleaned properly and too small. My flight from Orlando to Newark departed late but arrived on time and the crew was really great. I would definitely fly with your airline again."

Cons: "For the second time in two tires, I did not receive a confirmation number in an email that then resulted in a frustrating 45 minute call with Spirit Airlines. Also, the email notification had incorrect information on it stating I Was leaving from Newark (again) to go to Orlando. On the way to Orlando, the same thing happened and then I missed my flight which resulted in me having to buy an entirely new flight on a different airlines. I use Kayak frequently and am unsure if I will do so in the future. IT was an incredibly frustrating experience that ended up costing me valuable money and time."

Cons: "Out flight was cancelled due to poor weather in Newark. Spirit wasn't at fault for the bad weather, but they left us high and dry in the aftermath. They gave us no help or information how to rebook, and chaos broke out as a couple hundred confused passengers scrambled to find temporary accommodations. My family ended up staying overnight in the Orlando Hyatt airport hotel, and booking a flight the next day at expensive last-minute rates. We ended up paying $340 for the hotel, and $2500 for the flights, for a total additional expense of $2840.Because Spirit refunded us $1200 for the cancelled flights, we ended up losing "only" $1640 to get home, with no help from Spirit to mitigate our loss or even to advise us what to do. This is not how an airline, even a low-cost airline, should treat its passengers. I heard many passengers, in the scrum of confusion after the cancellation, vowing that they'd never fly Spirit again, and it's hard to argue with them."

Cons: "I was unable to pay for my carry on prior to flight because I could not access my account. There was some problem with my purchasing a ticket for my daughter. Her name and flight kept coming up. I had to pay 55 dollars for my small carry on because I did not pay online. I tried dealing with this during my 36 hours or so in Florida and was unsuccessful. I spoke to several Sprit Airlines people. I ended up leaving half of my things in Florida because another 55 dollars is ridiculous. I am not planning to fly Spirit airlines again. I understand rules and guidelines but found the lack of customer service in my case to be unacceptable."

Cons: "Getting our boarding pass to print was a nightmare. I kept getting password invalid. I was told I would be sent an e-mail to reset my password. NOT! made that request 6 times before I waited 30 minutes to get a rep on the phone. Was told I had to sign up to be a Free Spirit Member to get my boarding pass. No where does it say that that is what you had to do . The rep asked if I had booked through them? I told I booked through Kayak and he gave me attitude. Kind of huffed and I thought he mumbled "you get what you pay for" So I signed up and got our boarding pass. Coming back AGAIN we couldn't get our boarding pass. The rep at Cabana Bay got a Spirit rep on the phone I told her I was a Free Spirit Member and I gave her my member # and she me told I didn't exist in the system, but she would send me an e-mail to change my password Of course that didn't come through. I put Sara, from the front desk, back on the phone and between her and the rep we got our boarding pass. We started our vacation upset and aggregated. Ended it the same way."

Cons: "Everything else. Spirit accidentally cancelled my return flight. How is this possible? I had to shell out $1000 to hold a backup flight out of fear that they couldn't fix the error. Then they tried to double-charge me for luggage that I had paid for with the initial booking. Once they reinstated the luggage fee they stuck me in the back of the plane with no windows in an aisle seat when I paid for premium seating. Spirit is the worst airline on the planet. I would fly in a crop duster first."

Cons: "Spirit is HORRIBLE. They herd you into the plane like cattle. I'm a female of average height/weight and I was cramped. There is absolutely no room to move. The seats are so thin you can feel every movement behind you. There is no food, wifi, or in flight entertainment. They rob you with a $55 fee to carry on a bag. It is $3 cheaper to check one. They cancelled my flight and would do nothing about it, other than give me a partial refund and a coupon for a hotel. A coupon!!! They wouldn't even comp me for a hotel. Customer service reps were extremely rude after me waiting on hold for over an hour. Never again."
