It creates enormous crowds of people jockeying to be near the tiny lanes for when their number is called 5 or 10 minutes down the line. AA needs to reduce the number of boarding groups, lengthen the lanes, and provide more of them. No other airline boards this way. That's because this boarding method is stupid. Unsurprisingly, our plane took off late because they couldn't get everyone boarded in time."

Somehow European airlines manage not to freeze out all their passengers. It was less than a two hour flight but felt like an eternity because it was so uncomfortable. Seat size - this is absolutely the smallest it can/should go. I am pretty skinny, but even I'm running out of room and the seat backs could be made a bit more comfortable. Not only is there almost no recline, but the way they are constructed - they actually push my head forward - not made for short people."

While AA offered the option of paying extra for additional legroom, if you declined the offer, you could not obtain a seat. I know that it is getting unusual to have any sort of enjoyable experience on an airline, but the lack of transparency ("group two" for boarding is actually the fifth group to enter the aircraft) is totally unnecessary."

Cons: "Seeing as this flight was cancelled and we had to wait as two elderly people until 3pm the next day to get another flight and American Airlines would not compensate in anyway. I would say that we will never fly American Airlines again nor will my family. This was not the only delay or cancellation because of American either. We spent 48 hours traveling because of delays and cancellations and still American would do nothing for us. I'm 66 and my husband is 72 (who also has had back surgery for five slipped discs) and we had to sleep on concrete floors and had very limited money to buy food. It was by far the worst experience of my life and I would encourage everyone to not travel with them."

Pros: "Traveling from SJU to GSP, my mom got to the airport in SJU for her 1am flight. To find out it had been canceled. No call or email before hand, the had to wait until 2am to change the flight and get a hotel voucher. After that, next day they board the plane and de-board the plane due to mechanical problems. Another night and just a couple of 10 vouchers. She never received an explanation or recompense for loosing part of her trip in the san juan airport. This is the second time ahe has gone thru this in the same year with United. Awful experinece."

When I said to my friend as she was running toward the gate that we didn't hear the announcements. The gate agent told me I was the only one because all the other passengers did. I told him that wasn't true. He would not look at me and repeated to go down the jet way or I would miss the flight. Meanwhile more passengers were running for the gate. The message board message displayed "preboarding". I was sitting in the gate area for 40 minutes."

Fortunately I was able to transfer to another airline, but this overral experience with United was horrible."

The new flight boarded almost 2 hours later than expected, and upon landing in Chicago, I had already missed my connecting flight to Nashville by 35 minutes apparently. Unacceptable."

Cons: "Service was horrible! I originally had a 3 hour layover before my connecting flight which was delayed several times for various reasons which I know can be uncontrollable at times. Once I landed I only had 10 minutes to make it to my next flight in which I asked one of the flight attendants if I could move to the front of the aircraft to try and catch it and she did not allow me to do so and that they had to offload the plane “front to back.” I have seen multiple other airlines that allowed people trying to get to their next flight front-loaded off the aircraft. Once I found I missed my flight I was told that I would have to wait until midnight to fly to Orlando and then fly to my final destination (Nashville) at 6 am the next morning. I asked the attendant if they were able to provide a hotel or at the very least a meal but that wasn’t the case. I understand that things happen that delay flights but I would think this airline would be able to help their customers any way they can and that definitely was not the case! I will never fly Frontier ever again."

Cons: "This airline is dreadful. From second one they are trying to gouge you for money. $45 for a carry on. A carry on? Literally every other airline lets you take a carry on and your purse! But it doesn’t stop there. Next they won’t serve you anything to drink or snack on unless you pay for it. On a 4 hour flight (that was delayed by almost an hour btw) no snacks. No drinks. It’s totally ridiculous. And for the plane to be as janky and low rent as it is they should really take a second look at what they’re charging."

This timing put us on a schedule of soooo many planes departing the day after superbowl which led to 1.5 hours "traffic jam" on runway for departure. Seriously Las Vegas? Upgrade your airport. Then when we didn't get the water we asked for, my cousin pressed the attendant button and got a "smart look" from the attendant which visibly annoyed my cousin. The attendant responded by pressing hard on her shoulder telling her to calm down. It was a stressful situation."

Due to their crappy online service which didn't check me in. When I manually did . Wouldn't print or bring Ticket up on smart phone. There for delayed me at security when boarding pass wouldn't load. Causing me to go to Frontier service desk where it took 30 mins to get my boarding pass with 3 or 4 people in line. Terrible service. Then was a $99 fee for the next flight the next day. I went with United. They took care of everything with excellent care. Never again frontier."
Cons: "We were over half hour late boarding with no excuse as to why. The flight was extremely bumpy. I know you can not control the weather but my colleges were on other airlines and said they went to different altitudes where the air was smooth. The flight attendants on the way to Phoenix were pleasant and friendly, this group acted like they were not happy working. When I was offered service I asked for water with ice. The attendant said only water was free and handed me my glass of water. Did not even ask if I was willing to pay. There was a medical issue on the flight and when we landed the crew asked that everyone remain seated while the paramedics attended to the person. i think it would have been better to get everyone out of the way and allow the person privacy. The person refused help, not sure if it was because everyone was staring at him or not."
Pros: "We were notified at 11:40 that a 1:05 flight was cancelled, so we were unable to attend a conference that was both the expensive and professionally important. We couldn't afford the cost of same day tickets from the other airline flying in, but the fact that they were flying told us that the problem wasn't weather."

Cons: "The flight was delayed numerous times with little communication from frontier. By the time we finally departed 5 hours later it was a normal cramped flight(I'm a smaller build person and have no clue how larger people can fly but I can't really ding just frontier for that). When we arrived we had to sit in a holding area waiting for a gate to open for nearly 3 hours. Waiting on the ground is not nearly as comfortable as the uncomfortable flight. When a gate finally opened up we hurried to baggage claim where we were shocked at the lack of service. I have never seen so many bags lying around everywhere. On our carousel there were 7 flights... 7. Hundreds of people were waiting on bags and not a single piece of communication from frontier. 2 hours later we found our bags arriving on a carousel on the other end of the baggage claim terminal just by walking around waiting. Absolutely worst flight experience ever. Friends don't let friends fly frontier."

The price for a drink of any kind, water, soft drink and so forth was way too high. Anything to eat was also out of line. If you are diabetic be for warned, bring your own. My flight from Nashville to Las Vegas was so bad, as far as hidden fees and customer service goes, I tried to book a on any other airline for the return trip to Nashville. This was even though I had a round trip ticket on Frontier. To my dismay all other airlines were full. I am writing this review as I wait at the gate for a departure time on my Frontier return trip, we are 2 hours late for departure with no new departure time given. There are not any Frontier employees in the gate area to give updates. This is the bottom of the barrel for airlines and I will not ever be flying Frontier Airlines again."

Pros: "Easy check in and security at O'Hare due to small airlines. Gate was very close to security. Knew about fees in advance, so that was not a problem. Chose seat when purchasing the ticket and was able to get an exit seat at that time. A great deal for round trip flight."

The airfare is deceptive because everything is extra. The seats aren't very comfortable and don't recline. The checked luggage also took a long time to come out at the destination."
Cons: "We arrived to check our bags in at the airport about 2.5 hours before our flight. We noticed a rather larger line, so we were comfortable that because we had arrived so early that we would be just fine. Oh to the contrary, the line grew and with it everyone's mood changed. Half an hour passed and we could not find one clerk to explain why the line was not moving. This was the flight back from Nashville heading towards Chicago. In a huge rage, a woman traveling with what seemed to be her mother and two children finally hit a tipping point. She demanded to speak to a clerk and basically had to stalk their office until one came out. Apparently, in Nashville, the check in crew does not begin to check bags in until about an hour to forty-five minutes before your flight. I just couldn't get that through my head. If TSA, got forbid stops you, you're screwed. I will never fly with this airline again. You have to pay to even have a carry on with you, any kind of normal seat selection, seats are paper thin, and service was the worse. I get the cheap prices, but they're not that cheap in order to deal with all this mess"

Almost immediately in went to SOUTHWEST, side by side with Spirit counter and quickly buy our tickets to FLL. Thanks to SOUTHWEST we arrive on time."

They jeot saying that the crew at the connection was aware lthat we were a few minutes behind. But after traversing half a building in construction I found a lady closing the still-open gate just to tell me I couldn’t get in because NOW it eas close. They booked me on a morning flught next day. I paid for a big seat on row 1. They gave me a seat 11 rows back. I want a refund and I’ll never fly Spirit ever again."

Thank God for no medical emergency, but they didn't come out and offer actual bottles of water and/or a real snack. Terrible consideration toward the passengers."
