If you have a rollerboard, at least 50% of the time it won't fit in the overhead (regional jet) and have to be gate checked. I travel with a half size bag if i am spending no more than 4 days away and it fits in the overhead. That saves a lot of time when you have a connection and don't have to wait for your bag.

Expect the terminal in Monterey to be slightly cramped because it is a small airport. It is best to check in ahead of time on the airline’s app so that when you arrive, you can go straight to the kiosk and print your luggage tags to avoid waiting in line. They will call your name once your tags have printed. So much easier and convenient!

Be sure to make sure you give yourself plenty of time if you are connecting through Dallas airport - there are sky trains that take a couple of minutes to get to the right terminal, and it's a large airport.

Wish I had known the seats were so uncomfortable. Wish I had known checked bags and carry on bags were 75 each. Wish I didn't have to wait so long in line with only one clerk working. Wish I had known we were going to have to take a bus from the gate to our airplane. Wish I had known the seat space is smaller than any other airline I have flown. I do not recommend Frontier.
