Pick up was a disaster
Cons: Due to flight rescheduling we were 2 hours early to pick up our one way rental, which was located in a Ford dealership. The girl told us she didn't have a car for us and if we tried to rent another it was more than twice the amount we were quoted. She said she could try in an hour or so but couldn't do anything else. So we waited. She left her desk and never came back until 2 hours later, out original pick up time. The car she had for us was dirty and had obvious body damage, which was noted on the walk around. There were suction cup marks where they pulled out the bumper and so much dirt on the outside that you couldn't see if there was any scratched/dents worth mentioning. The inside hadn't been vacuumed, and there was splatter on the windshield. But at this point we took the car. 10 minutes into it, a light came on indicating a problem with the tire pressure. It kept going on and off so I called the rental agency again only to end up at a voice mailbox that was full. I called the Ford dealership and asked to be transferred and was told she couldn't transfer me, but she could give me the number. When I told her how I called already, she wasn't surprised I didn't get anywhere. She said this girl forwards the calls to her personal cell hone and no one can ever get thru. This is no way to run a business. I will not be renting from Hertz if this is the way they let their franchises be run.
