We had a long wait to pick up our car at the airport in Nashville. They only had 1 guy working the desk for 3 desks/different car rental places. The guy really tried to up sell us on our car and when we would ask how much he would say "oh it's cheap" was very vague. Then when we got the bill it was $200 more than we agreed to (in American and we are from Canada so the conversion was awful) The car itself was good, clean, good on gasReviewed Oct 6 2022

The ease of service was fantastic. What I like about hertz is yea it is slightly more expensive but you don’t get that last minute pressure to buy the fake inflated insurance at an extra cost we all know is fake.Reviewed Sep 22 2022

We didnt even get our rental. When I made the reservation weeks in advance i included the flight number and spoke with a hertz representitive about the change to our flight time. I was told we would still be able to pick up our rental when we got to the airport at 1am. I tried using their "easy step" app to check in an it kept booting me out then told me i needed to speak with an agent. Come to find out there was no agent available till 7am. Spent 45 minutes trying to find a way to pick up our rental so we could get rest after a full day of flying. Finally get someone on the line an the best they can do for me is tell me to wait for an agent thatll be there at 7am. Worst experience i have ever had especially with the fact that i spoke with an agent 3 months before our flight to verify that we would be able to get our car. They set us up for failure to keep the money i was paying them rather than being honest and saying we wouldnt be able to pick up a car. I had to go to another rental service in order to get our BnB so we could get some sleep. Will never be going through Hertz again.Reviewed Aug 3 2022

I booked a compact car well in advance of our trip. When I arrived—and after standing in line for 45 minutes at 10:30 PM—the clerk insisted that they had nothing smaller than a large SUV, and that it would cost me $120 more than my original booking. (Two days earlier, Avis simply gave me a larger car—no additional fees, since they are responsible for being able to fulfill their bookings.) When I pushed back, a smaller SUV somehow materialized, for $60 more than my original booking. Then they had trouble with my credit card. The clerk insisted that it was my card (I knew it was not) and demanded a new one. When I finally located another card (though I preferred to use the card with good travel coverage), she had the same problem and finally admitted that it was on her end, not mine—she had to call a number and get authorization. Overall, terrible experience and I won't be using Hertz again.Reviewed Apr 28 2022
