Manager was super rude because my passenger had left an item in the car after we turned in the keys which he considered “lost” even though they were exactly where I said they were. He then stated I was trying to rewrite their “lost and found” policy. Would never rent again from this location or enterprise because they also were no help in any of this.10.0 Wonderful

Flight delayed my pickup by 2 hours. At 2 pm the office was closed and no one answered the phone number on the door. I never did get a car - had to Uber the whole weekend. Still awaiting a refund.Cons:

Hertz modified my reservation dates without informing me. Essentially I would have to return the car by Sat noon (Fri 6pm pickup) instead of Monday 6pm, so the entire trip (4h5 drive each way to VT) became pointless and I had to cancel. Worse, because of Memorial Day Weekend all other rental cars were sold out and I wasn't able to travel at all, and lost my downpayment of $272 for lodging.Alamo

Alamo is my go-to car rental company now. Very friendly service, and their phone agents are really helpful if there's any problems. Especially when you pick up and drop off a car in different locations, which I often do.Cons:
The only problem was picking up and dropping off at locations that are NOT airports. Always call the locations before you go and know their hours of operation. These are not 24/7 satellites. One place closed at 6 pm; another at 2 pm!Avis

When we went to Norwalk to return the car, they tried to charge us for a big scratch on the car that the previous driver had made. When we picked up the car in Boston we informed the Budget representative at the exit that the car had a big scratch and then she wrote that in our papers. When we arrived to return the car in Norwalk they wanted to charge us for the scratch because we didn't have a pink slip from Budget in Boston stating that we were not responsible for the damage, even though the representative in Boston wrote it in our papers. The only reason why they didn't try to charge us in Norwalk was that we just happened to have signed up for the damage waiver insurance. This is terrible service.National
