  • The airports closest to El Paso, Texas, where you can rent a convertible car, are El Paso International Airport (ELP) and Abraham Gonzalez International Airport (CJS) across the border in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. At El Paso International Airport (ELP), the car rental desks are conveniently located within the terminal, offering a seamless experience for travelers looking to rent a convertible car upon arrival. Abraham Gonzalez International Airport (CJS) also has car rental options, with rental desks in the airport terminal.

El Paso drivers are generally courteous and adhere to traffic rules, contributing to a safe driving environment. While you won't encounter an overwhelming number of cyclists, it's always advisable to watch for them, especially in bike lanes and recreational areas. El Paso's sunny climate makes convertible cars an ideal choice, allowing you to bask in the warmth while taking in the scenic beauty of the Franklin Mountains and other local attractions.
  • Navigating El Paso in a convertible car rental is generally trouble-free, but some considerations should be kept in mind. Rush hour traffic, typically occurring from 7 to 9 am and 4:30 to 6:30 pm, can lead to congestion on major routes like Interstate 10 and North Mesa Street. Peak season in El Paso coincides with the warm months, from late spring through early fall, when tourists flock to enjoy the city's outdoor attractions and events. It was impossible for me to get a rental because i didn't had a physical credit card. We live in an era where everything is digital yet i was required to have a physical credit card and a physical license. I had everything to get the rental but just because it's all digital it was impossible for me to get a car. I understand that you need to have guarantees but it's ridiculous. I had an emergency and just because your technology is out of date not only you deny me the service in this company but treat me like i was going to scam you. Simply terrible.

The first car they gave me, the front bumper was loose and would not have endured the long drive to Dallas. Plus, the car was not real clean. The second car was much better but they forgot to open up the toll pass reader for the tollways in Dallas. When I mentioned this as I dropped off the car, the customer service person told me not to worry and that it doesn’t matter if the toll pass reader is in the open position or not. For a total cost of a one way rental from El Paso to Dallas for 10 days, $712 including the unlimited toll pass was okay but not a great deal.
