The front desk was disorganized and chaotic. Instructions were not clear and staff was unfriendly. When we droped off the car they told my husband to stop cleaning the car and took the keys. Fortunately I had read the fine print, in our contract, which stated that if the car was not clean we could be charged a fee (we had a small pet with us. I had to go back in, ask for the keys back and finish the job. There were so many 'one offs' in their service and attitude, that they gave us points toward a future rental. I thought that was great, until we went to redeem them and found out there were not enough points to apply and restrictions. Overall not a good experience and I would not recommend Hertz to a friend

Left without words - family showed up to rent and they said we could not due to a parking ticket from last year - however we have never rented from them before….

Pickup and drop off were quick and easy and the price they charged us was the price they quoted (unlike Thrifty who will triple the quoted price). Always enjoy using Hertz.

I was thrilled to save $$ by renting off site from the airport. With a little research I found the most convenient location for my ultimate destination..took Lyft (cheap) to the site. Was out in minutes. And on the return got there early and an agent saw me in the lot waiting for them to open, came and took care of me early...:) They way to go. Lisa S.

Everything went very well... We still have the cargo van for a few more days and will return it on Friday... The van was clean and comfortable and had great power on the road... All in all, Hertz did us very good... No complaints what-so-ever...

Hertz was great. It was Kayak that was the problem. My search was for rental cars at the San Diego airport. The top results that came up were for a location 20 miles north of the airport. Not being familiar with the area, I selected a good rate for a vehicle at Hertz, and after taking the complementary shuttle to the car rental hub, I was told that my reservation was for a different location. Because it was prepaid, they couldn’t accommodate me at the airport location. So my affordable rental ended up costing me an additional $75 in taxi fare. Thankfully, Hertz was able to arrange for me to return the car to the airport location. I won’t be using Kayak/Priceline again!

I rented a pickup truck from Hertz. It was very easy to pick up and drop off. On both, I spent less than 15 minutes on pick up and drop off. The truck was in great shape and was a pleasure to drive. The only problem I have with this truck is that now I want one for myself.
