Went through 4 different cars before I was able to leave with my customers. One was filled with smoke, one looked like it’s had gone through crash test, one I drove off with and had to turn around because it had a flat time and the last one worked and was filthy but I had to get to a meeting and my customers where standing on the heat while I moved cars.

The total cost was to be $177. Had me sign in early but did not have car available online so I did not pick up car till Thursday 7:42 as one was NOT available at the promised noon. The return was supposed to be returned to Hertz. At this point I have been charged: $263 8/22; $350 on 8/22 and $422.98 on 8/25. Can you PLEASE reverse these charges to the agreed amount $177?

Until the rental car industry drastically shortens the time from the time one walks up to the rental counter until pickup of the vehicle, I for one will not be happy with the pickup procedure. The return was quick and excellent. I was not aware of understood the breakdown of the final bill.

I rented through a third party, which was not clearly marked. Rentalcars.com. Our flight was cancelled due to torrential rains in New York City. We had to cancel our trip. Nevertheless, Rentalcars.com charged us the full amount. No recourse through Thrifty. I will think twice before using Kayak again,

The drop off went fine. When I told the agent that we turned the car into about our horrible experience picking up the car, he deducted $10 off of the remaining fees.

Cons:

The pick up was the worst we have ever experienced. From the time that we arrived at the Thrifty counter until we were given the car, it was almost an hour. While we did receive a free upgrade, the wait was totally unacceptable. They gave us a coupon for 15% off of our NEXT Thrifty rental which probably should have just applied to the current rental.
