I can safely say I will never attempt to rent from Dollar again. In the midst of our calamity with a cancelled flight and lost luggage at JFK International Airport after traveling 3000 miles, Dollar failed miserably by allowing us to schedule a car rental on line. After feeling the relief of that rental transaction we come to find out upon arriving at the Dollar rental desk that not only your folks didn’t have any one-way rentals but didn’t have any rentals for us at all. Talk about the left hand not talking to the right hand. Additionally, your customer service rep was condescending with no sympathy for our plight. Terrible experience. The car wasn’t ready when it was supposed to be. Their cleaners went home or something. Had to wait 2 hours for the car. Then they overcharged me on tax for the rental. Then they started the rental before I even took possession of the car. Then when I tried to return it there wasn’t anyone there and they added 2 hours into my rental even though they are the ones who didn’t have anyone out there to receive it.Reviewed Aug 6 2023

They did not have our car available at the time we had scheduled and said it would be 3 hours or more and they couldn’t guarantee it. I had to rent from another vendor at the airport at an inflated day of price and still have not received a refund from dollar for the car they didn’t provide me.Reviewed Jul 15 2023

Flew 10 hours Rome to JFK arrived at 1145 p.m. Was notified by txt that my next flight in the A.M. to JAX was canceled. So decided to drive to JAX the next day instead and rented a car at 0031 a.m. from Dollar which was confirmed online for a 0800 with pick up at JFK facility. Got there to Dollar and the agent said my reservation was no good so no car; and the reason was that the booking was made the same day. I mean come on. Really poor show Dollar: but the good news is Avis next door took me as a walk up. So, guess who I will use in the future. Promise not to bad mouth Dollar too much with my friends who travel.Reviewed Jul 12 2023

They didn’t have a car. They said they don’t accept same day reservations. To show up after a flight thinking you have a car and not having one and being stranded is so ridiculous. I will never be using this company again.Reviewed Jul 11 2023
