Pros:Staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful.Cons:They would not rent me a car without a “credit card” even though my Visa debit card worked just fine for Kayak to make my reservation and charge me $88 for the insurance I ordered for the car. And I requested a refund, but of course that’s a different company, so I have to take it up with them. I emailed the insurance company with no response!Reviewed Aug 21 2020

Pros:I did not get a rental he called me at 2pm which was my reservation time to tell me they didnt have pick ups.Cons:Dont let me reserve something online if its not at the location, online option should say not available.Reviewed May 21 2020

fix the site:Pros:I got a great rental at Hertz!Cons:I attempted to book online 2 times (on the Enterprise Site), I got all the way to payment and whack, disconnected. I follow-up with a call, disconnected! I guess you no longer need/want my business.Reviewed Mar 13 2017

Good price, but difficult experiencePros:The staff was very helpful in the Columbia pick-up location. The car we ended up with was comfortable and ran well. When we encountered problems with the pickup (see other section) the staff was happy to assist me in finding a suitable replacement vehicle.Cons:We ran into some difficulties with the pick-up in Columbia. Initially, the gentleman helping me didn't think he had a car in the category I had reserved. He did offer me an upgrade to a pickup, but, as I was driving down the entire East Coast, I didn't want to chance luggage in a pickup. He eventually found a car in my category. When he opened the door, the smell of strawberry air freshener was overwhelming. By the time I got home with the car, I could tell why - there was a definite smell of smoke in the car. I called to get a new car, as I was going to have it for a month and wasn't prepared to drive a car that smelled so strongly. They asked me to drive back in with the car and choose one off their lot. I was offered a smaller car, but my luggage wouldn't fit. He then offered me a car that they were still detailing. We did take that one, but it ended up having had cola or some sticky substance sprayed over much of the interior... Hence my rating on cleanliness.Reviewed Sep 2 2016
