Pros: Friendly staff, who pick us up and checked us in
Pros: It was an easy experience and the price was excellant
Pros: Staff were great. It was busy but they were efficient at taking care of everyone.
Pros: After hours drop off available and easy. Pickup was quick.
No Complaints (4 out of 5 stars)
Pros: We were greated and checked in for rental pickup within 5 minutes of being on site. They upgraded our economy vehicle to a larger premium vehicle at no additional charge so we wouldn't have to wait and comp'd us an appropriate amount of fuel due to the variance in fuel economy. A quick walk around, signed paperwork and we were on our way, total time on site 15 minutes.
Cons: The vehicle we reserved wasn't on site and the expected wait time of up to one hour is excessive. However, they came up with an acceptable and more than fair resolution which worked for both parties.
Great customer service
Pros: The mini-van we had reserved was not available due to an inadequate supply on hand for the demand. We were immediately given an option of several SUVs and a 15 passenger Transit van. Because of vacation plans, we opted for the large van. To compensate us further, our manager trainee Zach Rubin went out of his way to give us an added benefit of a discount on gas for the added cost of fueling a large van over the requested mini-van. All in all, you couldn't ask for better service from staff.
Cons: There wasn't enough stock of mini-vans to compensate for one coming in needing repairs and another requiring servicing. After making a reservation well in advance, this was disappointing.
Pros: The staff is great to work with, friendly and courteous. They are quick and efficient and give you time to look at different vehicles available and answer any questions!
Never got the car. Had reservation and confirmation but NO car.
Cons: They took my money. We're very rude and condescending. They had a list of documents
good basic price
Pros: Quick process we were in and out in 20 minutes
Cons: I had to change the reservation and the people at enterprise HQ were not very friendly same with PDX.
Pros: Excellent service. Every employee that helped us through the whole process was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The agent initially tried to pawn off a lower class car (a compact) on me (I paid for a mid-size). When I pointed this out they became defensive and stated "oh you're going to be like that huh?". The agent said that was all he had to offer but when he went to write down the mileage, he realized the car was empty and smelled of smoke - only then did he offer up another car although he made it clear he was doing me a huge favor. However, that car ended up having a check engine light on so he wasn't able to give me that one either. Instead he said he'd upgrade me in class for free to another car and that I could bring it back empty. The car was nice enough (a Camry) but it had many dings, scratches and dents that I had to point out to him to note before I felt comfortable driving away. All in all it took nearly 30 minutes before we finally had a car to use which is ridiculous. The lot is tiny and they don't have much to offer nor do they seem wholly honest. This will be the last time I ever rent from any Enterprise if i can help it.
Am I applying for a security clearance or renting a car?
Pros: Choice of a few different cars, location was good.
Cons: I've rented cars since I was 18 for short trips in the military. I'm 33 now and this is the first time I needed to provide; $250 deposit, three references, utility bill, insurance card, and pay stub from work. The girl that helped me with my rental wasn't the most helpful, and seemed to give scripted answers. I was never offered insurance until I asked about it, nor was I offered pre fuel... pre fuel was cheaper than me taking the car to the gas station. Upon return, it took nearly an hour for an agent to collect my keys and check the car in. I had no washer fluid in the car I rented, and the 12v cigarette lighter adapter didn't work. I also checked before I left on my trip and the spare tire was flat. Enterprise was convenient for me but I will definitely consider another agency if I need to rent a car again.
