Drop off was painless.Cons:
Pick up the staff was working single handed. Dealing with a complaint from the family in front of us and while we waited the line grew pretty heavily. They need more staff there.Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Pros:
Good sized car, easy to drive.Cons:
1) The van had a window that would not fully close - making it very noisy on the highway 2) The agent at the rental office did not offer us a GPS - we assumed that it came with the car, but we found out later that it did not 3) The extra driver rates are very high - especially for 23 year olds. Given that we are covering all of the insurance risk, why have these high rates at all? 4) The fact that Enterprise offices are not open on Sundays is a BIG inconvenience - made worse by having the Enterprise airport offices (which ARE open on Sundays) not linked to the same computer system as the non-airport Enterprises offices. We were not able to add a driver to our contract on the way home (which was on a Sunday).9.6 Wonderful

Pros:
I used Kayak to find the car we needed and then dealt directly with my local Enterprise facility to finalize things. This worked perfectly. We got a beautiful new car for our weekend trip. This could not have gone any smoother. All 5 of us were completely comfortable.2.0 Poor

Cons:
I wasn't able to actually rent my reserved car from Enterprise because they have a policy that doesn't appear anywhere in the reservation process that only holders of an in-state driver's license can rent a car using a debit card. Are they not aware that many people who rent cars are doing so in a state they don't live in?NextCar

NextCar would not rent me a car because 1) Swiss drivers licenses have no expiration date, and 2) they would not accept Allianz rental insurance which I reserved from your site.2.0 Poor

Easy to make the reservation. Very competitive rate through 3rd party service providers.Cons:
Impossible to cancel and extremely complicated process if we are to cancel the reservation at the 11th hour. Also kayak doesn’t provide us customers with a contact number where we customers can make last minute changes. So customers have to be very vigilant about this hidden fallacy of katak. Also it seems kayak has no idea if the service was delivered or not? Pretty sad kayak management.10.0 Wonderful

We got a brand new minivan with only 30 miles on it! And a Japanese car too rather than a typical American rental car!Cons:
Kayak sold an insurance policy (Allianz) which wasn't acceptable to NextCar. This was really really bad of Kayak. It created delays for every person waiting in line to get a car and delayed the rental process by atleast 45 mins. Canceling that policy. Calling my regular insurance policy and adding another policy. It was too problematic.4.4 Mediocre

Cons:
Our original quoted price was $200 but when we went to pick up the vehicle, we were told we had to have complete collision coverage or they wouldn't let us take the vehicle off the lot. That ended up being an extra $27.00/day increasing the cost to $270. Then we were quoted as having to return the car at 3 pm but were told that because that location had decided to close on the day of our return, we would need to take it to a separate location and return it by 1. I spoke with the manager who was complete rude and unprofessional however she said we could return the vehicle by 3 pm as quoted however went at length to lecture me that if I was one minute late returning the vehicle she could check the security cameras with the time stamp I wrote on the return slip and if I tried to lie about it they'd charge me for a four day rental fee. Mind you, all I asked was that I return the car at the time I was quoted at and she treated me like I was a criminal. When I got the vehicle there was less than half a tank in it and the car was filthy.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
I went to pick up my car and was told that because I didn’t order the rental through them they couldn’t make any promises to getting me into a car. Then they told me they were completely booked out of cars. There hasn’t been any communication that my reservation wouldn’t be able to be fulfilled so I didn’t even have the chance to line up a booking elsewhere.10.0 Wonderful

After I reserved the truck for $100 for 3 days, which was a special offer, I was called 3 days prior to my trip that the vehicle would not be available, nor was any vehicle available. I rented a truck from U-Haul.Cons:

Staff was very helpful and tried to remedy the situation.Cons:
Car was not ready per reservation! I had a compact car reserved at 1200. Staff said that wasn’t available, I could wait for a compact (previous customer had waited more than an hour) or take an SUV. Neither was acceptable to me. I needed the better gas mileage, and could not wait. Which is why I reserved what I did, and when. Staff offered me a Prius at an additional cost. He was only able to discount it so much. He wasn’t empowered to do more, so I took it, with intent to request reimbursement for the additional cost. The total was $89.08, versus the reserved price of $64.55. I’d like to request a reimbursement of the difference of $24.53. Pending the outcome of this situation will influence my future use of kayak car rentals and budget. Thank you.8.4 Very good

The car was good enough for what I needed (a short-term rental while my regular one was being repaired). They didn't have the exact type I wanted so I had to get a sedan instead but it worked fine.Cons:
The air pressure in the tires was low so I had to wait a little longer before driving off with the car. This facility is no-frills but the employees I've met are friendly and easy to work with. However, they could use more help at this office to avoid long lines of people waiting for service. One person per shift is not enough on weekends.6.0 Okay

Waited for over an hour to get the service. The car booked was not available, gave us an upgraded car at much higher price and they also slipped in unwanted charges in the final bill, which we did not notice. We were told to come the next day and get the actual car booked, when we went to pick up the car they were again not available.
