Pros: We love the Gatlinburg Inn. This was our second visit and we loved it so much the first time that it was our selection for our servings trip to Gatlinburg. Out also was where we just got engaged! There is a fireplace out front with some rocking chairs for socializing. There is a pool for the summer. There are a few rooms/seating areas for your family to hang out and done have fireplaces. The charm of this place really wins out. Finally, it is in the absolute heart of downtown Gatlinburg, so the convenience cannot be beat!

This is no big deal to us as it seems the clientele attracted here are courteous and responsible people who are not up thru the night and being loud or obnoxious. If you can get the room for under $50 it is worth it due to the location. The room itself is not worth more than $40 per night.

Cons: Check-in isn't until 4 and check out is at 10. I have checked into a lot of hotels before and they've been busy at times, but the wait to check in here was unbelievable. I think it took about 15-20 minutes to finally get to the desk and walk out with keys. We had the pleasure of leaving just before 10 and noticed the housekeeping didn't have any new linen on their carts. Maybe there is a separate one that comes through but we were under the assumption that the sheets aren't changed after each stay.

Walked in to someone else's mess, guess the room had been cleared off the computer so as to be let out again. So we hauled our gear back down to the lobby got another room that worked out fine for our 2 night stay. Couldn't find the TV remote there which was found later under/behind the bed headboard. Before finding called desk about it. Maint. man brought one in less than 4 minutes. Wow! Was nice/pleasant as he programed it to work. Overall visit was good with a few bumps. Enjoy.

I asked for shower gel and was given a free sample of shampoo from a magazine. My son had a wire stuck in his foot from the crumbling wall of the kiddie pool. Maintainence man told me if I didn't like it to go to a different pool. Terribly disappointed. Wasted so much money. I'd never use this site again. Took friend her husband and family with us, utterly embarrassed. No compensation whatsoever considered

I booked through kayak which sent us to getaroom.com, the staff at getaroom handled the situation well considering the mistake on someone's part. Either way it took an hour to check in. Then one of my kids got 23 dollars stolen out of his pants. When I reported it the lady (at the hotel) disregarded it saying the maid thought it was a tip....but it makes sense, every maid should take what they want from kids pockets. Really though for the money I just expected decent humans working for them and none were found. Find another hotel its Gatlinburg, there are plenty.

Cons: They overbooked and sent us to WildBear Inn, a two star hotel at Pigeon Forge. Before that, they sent us to a better one, which is operated by the same company as WildBear Inn, and took us almost one hour to wait for check-in, but that hotel told us they sent us too the wrong one, since they also overbooked. We paid much more than the price for a two star hotel at that far, but finally we could only go there and just got two free pancakes for they mistake. Who need to pancakes!

The staff was more then helpful however the rooms themselves were completely dated with box TV's, hard beds, hideous bathroom interiors and no water pressure. We had a couple problems with a few bugs in our room. One on the ceiling one in my folded hotel towel when I opened it and one on the floor. Needless to say between the uncomfortable bed and bugs we did not sleep at all.

Pros: We enjoyed that it was downtown close to all of the attractions and shopping, but it was also had a setting that you could enjoy the sounds and beauty of the mountains. And the staff were extremely nice and helpful every time we had a question for them. They were wonderful would definitely stay again.

Room was clean and spacious. Great view of the mountains. I would return again even though the pool was a disappointment.

Pros: The rooms were sizeable, the water was hot, the location is great whether you're checking out Gatlinburg's tourist district or catching the trolley to Dollywood. Although we didn't go for a swim, the indoor pool looks amazing and I'm sure it's fun regardless of the season. I did note plenty of young families enjoying it while we were there and the air doesn't overwhelm with chlorine.
Cons: We arrived late at night, after 2am, and there was no one at the check in counter, only a sign saying "be back soon". After sitting in the lobby for more than half an hour whole the security guard stated at me and at his phone, a desk clerk finally arrived to check us in. Parking was limited, but they were accommodating by basically not enforcing any parking rules as long as we were not blocking someone in. They put us in a handicap room, which wasn't a problem in itself, but the bathroom door slides open and shut for ease of access and unfortunately it wasn't well oiled so we weren't able to ever fully open or close the door. I did report the problem, but don't know if it was ever fixed as we were only there 2 nights.

Cons: The second you walk in the room, we opted for the poolside option as we were planning to spend time in the pool with our two small children, all you could smell was chlorine, not to mention the room was about 87 degrees when we first walked in. While looking around our room, we found lots of great treasures, old Broken Oreos in the carpet (carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in about a month) , the bathroom was disgusting you had to hover above the toilet, the shower curtain had something streaked down it, looked like makeup maybe?? Who knows. There was brown matter streaked on the wall I could take a guess on what it was. It looked like feces. The tv kept cutting in and out with sound and picture so that was a no go when my 3 year old asked to watch cartoons before bed. We decided to check out the beds to see what they were like since the rest of the room was absolutely disgusting. On one of the blankets there was red lipstick. And on the sheets there were big black hair. In more spot than one. So I'm guessing the sheets hadn't even been changed? Needless to say we grabbed our bags and our two small children and got the heck out of there, we didn't even stay the night. Then the whole trip was spent attempting to get our refund back as we ended up having to spend money on a different hotel for our trip. And then they tried to tell us that we had to pay for the first night even though we didn't stay. We will not be back. Waste of money and time out of our trip.

Pros: The website says the hotel is 2 blocks from the strip but that is still .4 miles. It's a lot further than the website made it seem. We received an earlier morning wake up call both days that we DID NOT request. But the worst was the water temperature in the shower. It would get scalding hot with no notice. We stayed for 5 nights during the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage and found it an ideal location for the various events and a walk-able distance to the main street, restaurants and Conference Center. As the hotel is off the main street, we found the location quiet at night with the soothing sound of the river out back. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Bathroom quite small and the balcony was shared with other rooms were two minor complaints. Continental breakfast was pretty basic and nothing to write home about. Overall, we would recommend the place and would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Rooms are directly over a nice stream full of fish. If it hadn't been so hot we could have opened the door to the balcony and enjoyed the soothing sound of the stream. Just a block and a half from the main strip. An easy 3 minutes walk. But far enough so as you don't hear the busy traffic. Room was very clean with comfortable beds. Also my wife and I always noticed the room had a nice fresh smell every time we entered.. Housekeeping was extremely friendly. Front staff very courteous, extremely nice and informative. We spent two nights. Around midnight on the first night, we were having trouble with our TV. I called the front desk and the young man working the desk said he would be there soon. He showed up in 3-4 minutes and soon had our TV working. Nice size flat screen TV with lots of cable channels

When we walked in the lady at the counter was on her cell phone, on a personal call, she did not end the call to help us, instead she continued her conversation and helped us after she finished her call. In my opinion that was rude. Then while we were checking in someone called the front desk and requested help with their shower, she told a gentleman to go help them "because they couldn't figure out how to work the shower." Her attitude about that situation was wrong and she should not have spoken so rudely about someone who is paying money to stay at your hotel, especially in front of other guests (being myself).

The workers were also very polite & made sure to give us all the information that we would have needed, plus without even asking told us about the free breakfast (Due to covid 19 they only had a few things, not there fault by any means) & give us a extra room card.
Cons: The elevator was strangely stinky I’m not really sure why & our room was a little dirty like dirty bathroom mirror & finding hairs on the bed but I mean I’m not that picky or grossed out (your in a public cheap hotel)

Pros: Location was the ONLY this good about this hotel.
Cons: Pictures posted online portray this place as newly renovated and clean. Very outdated. Carpet had not been cleaned or shampooed maybe since it opened in the 60s. Tom was very rude about me parking in the No Parking Zone after the front desk told me to park there because there are more rooms than parking spaces. Also advertise free “continental” breakfast!!! Plain bagels, waffles, apples, and Rice Krispies. We stayed on the top floor and our view was the builidng wall next door. Do not spend your money here!

I enjoyed the stay and the location is awesome. I am sure during the busy season it would be very noise inside the building. I would stay during the off season

Pros: I liked the location. Easy access to downtown activities,car travel is not easy in Gatlinburg during tourist season, so it's easier to walk.
Cons: The driveway was blocked with pedestrians every time we attempted to come and go, there were people playing music and crowds gathered around, not offering to move so we could park. Again we waited. That's mainly all I did on this trip is wait in traffic. I won't be back to Gatlinburg.

Cons: Waterpark was not entertaining for children older then 10ish, walls were very thin, game room a waste of money don't purchase more then one game card because you can't combine the money or the tickets, internet isnt included it's $10 a day and only one device can be connected at a time, TV's in the rooms were impressive until you turn them on and you only get a handful of channels and they were fuzzy at best! We didn't have any intention on sitting thru the time share spill however they offered us $100 cash and a free 2 night stay (which I have now discovered in order to claim my "free" stay I must pay $50 to activate the account) so I said ok to the 90 minute presentation- 4.5 HOURS later I walked out!! Never again!!!! There reply when I said it's been longer then 90 min........ well we are not selling you a t-shirt then tried to make us feel guilty for not purchasing the time share by telling us "well I guess you don't want to have quality vacations with your loved ones" and "I must not done my job very well". Ugh!!! Now I know why I haven't ever sat thru a time share presentation before and why I will NEVER again - ever!!!

Cons: We arrived late and went to dinner, when we returned we went to make up the sofa sleeper. There were only sheets, no blanket or pillow. I called the front desk and was told that they would bring them right up. After waiting 45 minutes, they still were not there. I again called and was told again they would be right there. After 15 minutes, still not there. I called again and was told after asking to speak to a manager that they were trying to get a hold of the person who was supposed to be bringing them. This is when I insisted on speaking to a manager because they told me they were on the way two times already. I was told that they would the manager would call me in one minute. After waiting five more minutes and no call or blanket of pillow, I called and spoke to a lady who told me the manager had the girl outside who was supposed to be bringing the blanket and pillow up and was talking to her. I again was told I would be called in one minute. After not getting a call back and it was now after 1:00 in the morning, I called again. I spoke to a manager who told me that the problem was that they were booked to the maximum and were behind. I explained that it was after 1:00 in the morning and we had to check out at 10:00 as that is their check-out time. He then told me that they were shorthanded because one of the employees had a death in their family and they were not there. I explained that I was sorry, but first of all I as a customer should not even know about something like that. I then expressed that it has been well over an hour and a half and I still did not have the blanket and pillow and I just wanted to go to bed, however, I did feel some sort of compensation was in line, even a late check -out because I was not able to go to bed earlier. He told me that he could not do that. I told him that because it was so late, I was going to check out and find another place to go. He told me to do what I wanted to do. We went to check out and were not refunded any of our money. We had paid $286 for the room, plus an $11.00 fee, plus a $50 damage deposit. I have written an e-mail to the company with absolutely no reply. My credit card company is notifying them because we have filed a dispute. The only money I have had returned is the $11.00. We haven't even gotten the damage deposit back, and we didn't even sleep in the beds. The only thing we did was take showers. I will never stay at these resorts again, nor will i stay at any place that they are associated with. I think it is just a place to rip off people.

Cons: You have to pay extra for wifi connection. All advertised (free) activities costed extra. Parking was overcrowded. Some of the staff was very rude. Our room was dirty and the sheets on the bed looked like they had not been changed with wrinkles and hair on the sheets. The toilet was backed up and did not flush properly.

Cons: The rooms, the prices. For a resort, you would assume that at least WIFI was inclusive in the room charge. Nope, it was not. They also try to get you to think that you won something at checking. It was thein 4 hr "come see why it's so good to be an owner" routine. That was the only time any kind of complimentary breakfast was mentioned!

Pros: This is a nice place to stay for the price. The view and rooms are nice. The location is great. It is in between Pigeon Forge and Garlinburg. I would stay here again.

Cons: I did not like the room. The room was not very clean and smell smoke. The AC was loud and we could not get a good night sleep. The gym was small and did not have a steam room or hot tube. The water park was too expensive. I would not recommend Westgate hotel to my friends or families.

Cons: Website was not clear about extra charge for pets. It states pets are welcome and there was an additional charge but no amount listed. I was expecting an extra $20 charge or so and was completely SHOCKED when at check in they told me it would be $170!!! I would not have booked the room had I known this especially since the rate for the room itself was only $109! Completely ridiculous charge.

Cons: Parking sucked. They will try to have you tour for discounted attractions-- seemed like a good idea but there 90 minute tour with a free breakfast turned out to be over 5 hours of salesmen in your face trying to sell you a timeshare. They waisted one whole day for our weekend vacation. I would much rather pay for the attraction then lose time with them trying to sell me a timeshare for that amount of time. Not upfront or honest. And the great breakfast you get for touring was terrible.

Cons: The front desk staff are incompetent, clueless and rude. The bathroom doors in the unit all had at least a 2-inch or more gap between the floor and the door. The wall decor in the main room was a picture of Dolly Parton and the Westgate developer - really? Walls and floor have no soundproofing. We could hear the hoard of elephants above us well into the wee hours of the night. The units are really pretty on the outside and fit nicely into the mountain scenery, but they belie the ugliness on the inside. Second time here and will not book again!
