Easily walkable to downtown Gatlinburg and the mountain views were incredible. Didn't spend much time in the room so these pluses made up for the hotels short comings. The furniture was old. The carpet should be replaced. The stains on the chairs were unsettling. The entire bathroom needed refurbished 15 years ago. How is it possible that in 2016 there was a tube TV in my room?
Good location, nice views Rooms looking run-down, bathtub has been painted. $170 non-refundable pet charge is ridiculous for a 2 night stay.
We needed extra linen for my mother-in-law. She caked to the front desk for some and am employee arrived with some within 5 minutes of her hanging up. Check-in isn't until 4 and check out is at 10. I have checked into a lot of hotels before and they've been busy at times, but the wait to check in here was unbelievable. I think it took about 15-20 minutes to finally get to the desk and walk out with keys. We had the pleasure of leaving just before 10 and noticed the housekeeping didn't have any new linen on their carts. Maybe there is a separate one that comes through but we were under the assumption that the sheets aren't changed after each stay.
The resort is pretty and is in a great location for walking to the strip on Gatlinburg. Perfect for us wanting to walk around and not have to venture too far away. For the price I couldn't complain. The room wasn't as clean as I hoped. The floor was a little sticky. We also had made reservations for two double beds but only had a single king bed when we got there. I called the front desk about it and they said they were booked, sorry about our luck basically.
Convenience to downtown attractions Great Views Price too high for a hotel with only 1 functional pool, old dirty rooms, no breakfast options.
Location was good ,priced ok, Breakfast plain oatmeal ,zero fruit, worst I have seen ,usually have eggs and more choices
This place is right next to the aquarium and right in town in Gatlinburg so it's an easy walk to everything. You do get a fairly good view either of the water or an overview of the city. The rooms are a bit outdated. My coffee wasn't replenished everyday
We liked that it was so close to everything because we liked to walk. we really loved the ducks but couldn't figure out what happened to the baby ducks disappearing everyday The parking garage was way to tight. We could barely squeeze in there. then on the outside parking we found a spot but someone decided to take over both spots
Great place to stay for biz, fam, quiet get away or even younger groups for folks. Several buildings on property and they grouped everyone well. Kayak by far had the best rate! I usually use Booking but they weren't the lowest this time. The others didn't even have availability listed. The pool was shut down due to repairs, but it just looked temporary. Also, the Drafts sports bar on the property had weird hours and just kinda strange folks working there.
Nice Location Quiet Pretty view Value for the money A little dated Pillows were flat
Location is great, just a block away from the strip. Walking distance to everything. Sheets and towels were clean. Extremely outdated. I'm sure this hotel was very nice in 1980 but not much has changed since then. TV is the only update. Place looks dirty just from years and years of use. The room smelled like a dead animal. Smell was coming from the refrigerator. We only stayed two nights so we just toughed it out. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
We liked the location. It was within walking distance to almost everything. Loved to restaurant and the outdoor eating by the river. Service was poor but the atmosphere was worth it. Room was clean and spacious. Great view of the mountains. I would return again even though the pool was a disappointment. The pool was so dirty that we couldn't even swim in it. My granddaughter threw a swim stick in and we couldn't even find it. At night when the pool lights were shining, you could see bits of white floating all over.
Perfect location, clean, excellent staff and all amenities function well.
It was inexpensive and a good location for accessing downtown. The bathroom was old & cracked. The room was 'creek side' but balcony
It was an older hotel. It was well kept and clean. No.
Location and parking at the door Showing alot of age...needs updating
This hotel is charming. I loved having a fireplace in the room. The beds were comfortable. The location was great!!! The bathroom could use some updating, and the 'free' breakfast is lacking. Very limited. Only offered bagels or donuts or 2 cereals. that's it. We had to go somewhere else.
A lot of character and great location. Wifi was not great at staying connected in the room. Pillows left a LOT to be desired (flat and floppy) and the mattress has seen better days.

It was in a great location and it had very comfortable beds

Location was very good just a short walk to the strip didn't have to pay to park
The location is awesome...within walking distance of everything, but off the parkway. We had a ground floor room with parking right in front of the door. The staff was The shower didn't work very well and one of the mattresses was a bit past its prime.
location to everything was good. room was clean. no coffee packs in room, shower had slow drip, balcony overlooked the roof to the pool and hot tub
You can walk to everything in gatlinburg. It's a perfect place to stay if you don't need a very romantic get away. The refrigerator made a noise all night. The heater was either burning hot or off which made it a icebox.
Breakfast was delicious with many options. Staff was great and had toothpaste (which I forgot). Fantastic location. Less than a five minute walk to the aquarium and the strip is one block over with easy access. The hotel is on a very quiet street and there is a really nice sitting area down by the river. The only complaints I have are minor. The parking garage has some weird parts to it. It's clearly conformed to the mountain behind the hotel. Also the lamps between the beds didn't work, but the staff probably would have fixed it if I had let them know. Also there were plenty of other lights in the room.
Room was ok. Location was great. They turned the room right next to ours into a party room for the Elk Convention and it went 24/7. When I complained I was told "oh you booked with kayak.com, you'll have to take that up with them....". I think someone realized that mistake and tried to put me in another room but by then they showed how they felt about online customers. Plus, they don't give the premium rooms to online bookings. They told me that. You'll be facing the hill in the back with a poor view. You cannot get the nice view online. I'll never be back to that place!
The hotel was pretty clean. The location to downtown Gatlinburg was fantastic. The continental breakfast was more than the cereal and muffins that you get in other places. The staff was as helpful as they were allowed to be. The bathroom was tiny and crowded as was the room. The walls were so thin that we could hear the phone conversation of the man in the next room as well as the female that was on the other end of the phone line. The "Mountain-side View" that we were supposed to have was the employee parking lot and a steep hill with a lot of trash and debris on it. The Kayak website leads you to believe that you can get a Smoking room, but you are not allowed to even smoke on the balconies of these rooms as it is a "No Smoking on the Grounds" property.
Great staff, very friendly. The staff were the highlight of this experience. The rooms were average with the standard motel options. Location was close enough that you could walk to the main attractions. For the price it was worth it. The Wi-Fi only worked at the main building and a bit beyond. Did not see any breakfast options available but a fantastic pancake house was nearby. Bathrooms needed updated.
The cleaning staff was very nice and the riverfront was a plus. There were ants in our room. The minifridge became unplugged sometime when we were asleep the first night and ruined our food in the fridge. When you entered the room the smell was unpleasant and somewhat over powering, took a while to adjust to it.
After reading some reviews after booking our stay I was worried... we arrived & the staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, a/c worked great, ice machines worked. I found no merit to some concerns addressed in others reviews. Yes this is a older motel but not rundown & I would stay again. We were courtside (across the street) & it was very peaceful. Nothing
We enjoyed the following... Big, warm indoor pool Creek directly under room balcony Comfortable beds Friendly staff Location On-site breakfast Quiet rooms Bathrooms could use a few updates. It was also a cold walk outside from the indoor pool to our room but that's just part of being an older/motel-style establishment.
Absolute amazing staff! Great location. Couldn't ask for a better place!
it reminded me of Gatlinburg when I was growing up. Simple, clean motel. Off the parkway so it was nice and quiet, but still just a short walk to the main drag. AMAZING pool!!! Unbeatable price, and super friendly staff. We will be back!
The staff is amazing especially Lee. He made us feel at home. Too many children screaming.
The pools Parking needs some work
Rate and location N/A
Our stay was great. We would definitely stay again. Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Pool area was great as well. Best thing was it's location to downtown we were able to walk every where just about. Only complaint would be that their towels were to small.
The location and the indoor pool were great. Our room was very small and smelled like mildew/mold. The hotel is very outdated and not very clean. The Wifi did not work most of the time and the shower water kept going from scalding hot to cold without touching anything. We also were put in a "pet friendly" room, which I would NEVER stay in again. If I had known that part of the hotel was "pet friendly" I would have never booked there. We will never stay at this hotel again.
There were roaches in room. Staff was nice but we won't stay there again.
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Facility was clean. Located within <5 minute walk of downtown. Probably deserves 5 stars but I need a lasting impression for that.
Close to everything Price for location Mostly very clean The last 2 mornings of our stay they were doing some remodeling 2 doors down from our room at 8:15 in the morning. Im talking pounding, hammering, sawing, buzzing and tile break at 8:15 in the morning. I asked the woman at the front desk and she insisted they werent remodeling near my room. The towels suck. Mold above the shower
Great location to downtown Gatlinburg, the staff were friendly and helpful It is no fault to the people that work there, but the building itself is in need of some TLC. You can tell that is what they are working on, but I couldn't help but notice
No coffee in lobby
The rooms were sizeable, the water was hot, the location is great whether you're checking out Gatlinburg's tourist district or catching the trolley to Dollywood. Although we didn't go for a swim, the indoor pool looks amazing and I'm sure it's fun regardless of the season. I did note plenty of young families enjoying it while we were there and the air doesn't overwhelm with chlorine. We arrived late at night, after 2am, and there was no one at the check in counter, only a sign saying "be back soon". After sitting in the lobby for more than half an hour whole the security guard stated at me and at his phone, a desk clerk finally arrived to check us in. Parking was limited, but they were accommodating by basically not enforcing any parking rules as long as we were not blocking someone in. They put us in a handicap room, which wasn't a problem in itself, but the bathroom door slides open and shut for ease of access and unfortunately it wasn't well oiled so we weren't able to ever fully open or close the door. I did report the problem, but don't know if it was ever fixed as we were only there 2 nights.
The location was the center of downtown Gatlinburg. Would have been a great proximity if we had stayed. The second you walk in the room, we opted for the poolside option as we were planning to spend time in the pool with our two small children, all you could smell was chlorine, not to mention the room was about 87 degrees when we first walked in. While looking around our room, we found lots of great treasures, old Broken Oreos in the carpet (carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in about a month) , the bathroom was disgusting you had to hover above the toilet, the shower curtain had something streaked down it, looked like makeup maybe?? Who knows. There was brown matter streaked on the wall I could take a guess on what it was. It looked like feces. The tv kept cutting in and out with sound and picture so that was a no go when my 3 year old asked to watch cartoons before bed. We decided to check out the beds to see what they were like since the rest of the room was absolutely disgusting. On one of the blankets there was red lipstick. And on the sheets there were big black hair. In more spot than one. So I'm guessing the sheets hadn't even been changed? Needless to say we grabbed our bags and our two small children and got the heck out of there, we didn't even stay the night. Then the whole trip was spent attempting to get our refund back as we ended up having to spend money on a different hotel for our trip. And then they tried to tell us that we had to pay for the first night even though we didn't stay. We will not be back. Waste of money and time out of our trip.
Upgraded room for no extra charge and the suite was quiet, comfortable and clean Pool area needs upgrade and was glad to see its in the plans for the coming year There were no towel racks in the bathroom and the water never got hot.
Pool was very nice Beds are very uncomfortable. Our room balcony was in the pool area and it was at least a 100°+ when you walked up to go to our room. I just believe you should know that. And the pictures looked a whole lot nicer to me.
Location was good, just a short walk down the road and you were in downtown Gatlinburg and close to any activity you wanted to do. Staff was nice. Hotel is a little dated but overall is a nice place to stay. Pool area and hallways were hot.
The website says the hotel is 2 blocks from the strip but that is still .4 miles. It's a lot further than the website made it seem. We received an earlier morning wake up call both days that we DID NOT request. But the worst was the water temperature in the shower. It would get scalding hot with no notice. I let management know when we checked out but he didn't seem very concerned. Wouldn't stay there again.
The room was comfortable and felt roomy, the location was close to the strip and a lot of parking. There were a few things broken in the room, the walls are thin, and the pool shouldn't close so early or should have an adults only time. The children spoil the trips
The only room left on Kayak under $200/night. I now know why. The room smelled, was tiny, had ants, shoddy repairs, mold on the bathroom ceiling, loose fixtures. I could keep going. We left a night early and ate the final night's cost.
the location is great, too bad the property is in such badly needed repair. Beds were horrible and uncomfortable. Old building and mold in the bathroom. I would not stay in this location again and will tell everyone Do Not Stay at this hotel, it is not a good reflection of your brand for Value and Quality. This property should have their franchise pulled until they can meet the higher standards of cleanliness and upgrade the facility. Paint alone does not account for upgrade
When we complained about waking up in bugs and the water leak in the bathroom, the GM was kind and started a full refund process. Waking up with bugs in the bed.
Clean rooms. Efficient check-in. Ample parking. Good location. Good staff. Thin walls. Holes in wall where headboards were previously attached. Minor water damage on ceiling in bathroom.
staff very nice, professional, helpful, n friendly. good housekeepers. nice continental breakfast. hotel is clean. nice mattresses and pillows. have been here before and will definitely come again. the carpet had been recently cleaned in our room, must have used too much water, there was a very very musty almost moldy smell in the room. the fire alarm went off, we all evacuated, no fire dept showed up, no staff showed up, we just went back in when the alarm went off.
Decent options for breakfast. Friendly front desk. Location allows you to walk down the main strip.
The hotel was ok. It was located in a perfect spot. It was close to the park and right by the Main Street through Gatlinburg. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a balcony which was nice but the view was of a parking lot. This is a good hotel if you don't plan to vacation at the hotel. We used it to sleep and spent the days at the park so it was perfect for us. Free breakfast was a plus but you got to get there early being that the dinning area is so small. I will stay here again. The room and hotel were very basic and small. dinning area is very small so getting to the breakfast area early is a must. Hotel is a bit dated also. Nothing major is wrong with any of this and I would stay here again.
While this is an older hotel it was perfect for a nights stay. We were stopping in Gatlinburg for a night and we just wanted a room close to the main street. The hotel was about a block from the restaurants and shops. It was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave which was all we really needed. The bed was ok and it was quiet. Would've preferred a room with a king bed but that wasn't available. Which isn't the fault of the hotel. Parking was easy. The only thing I would say could've been a problem is that the room we were in was in a separate building from the main desk so it wasn't convenient to go to the front desk if we needed anything. Check in was fast and the gentleman working as very nice.
The location The front desk agent checked my employee into a occupied room, when my employee went to the front desk to inform the agent he was told the room we reserved was not available and we would need to speak with a manager in the AM. Me employee went to the front desk the following day to get a room change to the double room I reserved and the agent said we are not changing your room and if you want to speak with a manager call the owners in India. The agent was very rude and unprofessional. would never book at this property again.
The location is perfect. It has always been out go to place to stay To begin with the room was not as clean as it typically is there. The sink was either dirty or stained and there were some toenail clippings next to the bed but we had never had a problem before and I didn't want to ruin our trip so it was overlooked. The wifi never worked in the room but that was the least of our concerns. The drawer in the dresser broke as soon as I tried to set clothes in it. The second day there a teribble smell (like a dead animal) began occurring by the first floor stairwell that was still there when we left a few days later. The air conditioning units leak water everywhere which I understand air conditioners will do but after they filled up the containers under them they were left to just go all over the floor. This includes the one on the balcony of our room. The second night we were there my husband and two year old were on the balcony and she was walking back to the room and slipped in the water from the air conditioner. We finally went to the front desk and explained what happened and they did offer to change our room but at this point it wouldn't have fixed the problem of the leaking air conditioners because they all did that and we were already completely unpacked with a two year old so packing back up and moving would have been very hectic and inconvenient. By the next day the water coming from the third floor a/c down onto our 2nd floor balcony made it impossible to walk out on without getting wet. We've always enjoyed our stays here before but this will be our last one until it gets some serious renovations.
Convenient location and comfortable bed. Place lacked basic cleaning. Dust on fans, walls not wiped down, etc. They need to remodel too. Part of my bathroom mirror frame had melted, and there was stains and cigarette burns all over the sheet and comforter set. Plus, when you walk into your room, your immediately reminded of your grandmother's damp basement.
The location was the only good thing. It's right at the entrance of the park. We arrived and the staff was not very friendly. They were arguing with each other because they double booked a room. Our room smelled of mildew. There were stains on everything. Two of the lights did not work in the room. The floor was sticky. The AC did not work. The sound on the tv did not work, I had to rewire it and reprogram it. I would not recommend this room to anyone. It was very outdated and I wouldn't stay there again if it were free. Very disappointed and upset we spent so much money on a dirty uncomfortable room.
location The bathroom was filthy with spider webs under the sink, doors to room were very old and did not functon properly. Room had mildew smell and we saw a couple of cockroaches in the room.
The staff was very welcoming. And... the location was really fun. We could see Trams going to from Over Gatlinburg from our window. It would have been nice to have had a laundry facility on site.
Location is excellent. Breakfast was good. View to the river was nice... Room wasn't clean 100%,
The room was fine except for having the sewer back up into the toilet and having to move at 11pm. They didn't have another room but moved me to a suite in another hotel they owned Having to move at 11pm with 2 kids
On the river
The staff was excellent, Extremely friendly and very helpful. Location was beautiful. Hotel building needs to be updated. While there our door handle fell off. Building is showing its age and needs a good face lift! Pool was nice but showing a bit of wear and tear. Internet and TV kept going in and out of service. Connection issues.
Quaint setting with decent pool for kids. Second floor was tough with my handicapp husband
Hotel was very close to smokies national park and the town of gatlinburg. Could walk to restaurants around. Good rustic look to the room. Limited parking. Only one car parking was allowed. We had two cars and had to park the other car in the paid parking.
The location is great! It is right off the strip and within walking distance from everything. The rooms need to be updated and could be a little cleaner. There was a spider web in our bathroom window. We told the staff but they never got it out.
The view and location of it in downtown No
Lots of room in the room. Could move around and not run into anyone else. Curtains did not close. There was to much light for me at night. The couch was awful.
