Cons: The location just north of O’Hare is under staffed. There were 2 employees there......Josh, who was prompt and helpful, and a woman who was worthless.

Worst rental experience ever!
Cons: Flight was late. Counter was closed when I got there. Customer service was Useless in trying to find me another car, didn’t even care if they found me a car
Pros: Hertz was great, I heard an odd noise from the rear of the car and Hertz checked it out. They said it was safe but offered me a different car if I preferred, I took the new car just to be safe.
Cons: I didn't like that the insurance I added was not through Hertz. It was through and independent company. This could have been too complicated for me if I got in an accident, Hertz said they would have charged the full damage amount directly to me and leave it up to me to be compensated by the other company.
Refused to rent to me with a debit card.
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: I was quite flustered and in a hurry from traveling. And the woman behind the counter refused to rent a car to me because I had only a debit card. I looked at Hertz's policies online and yes they do rent to anyone with a debit or credit card. So basically the woman at the counter was just too lazy to do her job. STAY AWAY from this place, and avoid it like the plague, because clearly they don't care if you've been traveling all day and needed a car asap so you can continue with your business. Go to Advantage next door. They're much nicer.
Cons: The Hertz location was unwelcoming, customer service was lacking. The sales people at the location were having a retirement discussion while we were standing in line waiting to get helped. Hertz charges an extra $13.50 a day to have your spouse as an additional driver. The only plus was the rental was cheap, but so was the service.
Cons: no notice of lack of shuttle service from the airport. closed on day of check out so no final bill available when leaving state.
No debit cards
Cons: Have always used a debit card to rent a car, was told that they just changed their policy. Have to rent a car from another company at 3 times the rate.
Excellent
Pros: Great car, good condition, low mileage.
You get what you pay for
Pros: Cheapest in the area.
Cons: It took forever (about 25 min) to pick up the car. Dropping off was a bit quicker, but there was a long line with only one person working.
Car had some damage, and it was only noted after I asked gat we do a walk around.
Inside of the car was dirty and even had some animal hair in the back seat area.
Pros: I never used this reservation. Check your records.
