Picking up the car was a nightmare. The line was long, the attendants were inattentive and unapologetic. When the attendants could not help me with a very simple matter, I had to call the company who tried to upsell me at least five times. Then I had to finish the transaction at the desk. The attendant mumbled while trying to upsell me at least five more times. I finally had to call my husband over so we could both listen and be on guard for being taken advantage of. This is my second back experience with Hertz. I believe it's not just bad luck, it's bad company practices. I will be switching to a different car rental service.Reviewed May 11 2023

I received an electric car which I did NOT ask for, they said the car was charged to 85% when it was barely charged to 15% which almost left us stranded trying to get to our hotel. I was charged twice. Once when I booked it and again when I picked it up and I told her that and she brushed it off.Reviewed May 5 2023

Pickup was fairly easy. My rental had a bottle of water in it. At first, I thought it was for me for my drive. Upon closer inspection, the tabs were broken and it appeared as though someone had taken a small drink. Needless to say, I threw it away. There was also no customer service agent in the car area for questions. Return was very easy. I was instructed to just leave the key inside the car and go. My receipt was emailed.Reviewed Jun 20 2022

We overpaid, would not apply our AARP or AAA. Told us to do when we returned car; we tried and they told us should have done in the beginning. We ordered Mazda 4 door and got a small SUV with terrible suspension and poor AC (in hot and humid Florida). DisappointingReviewed May 22 2022
