In the end they compensated us
Pros: Once everything went horribly wrong they upgraded us and gave us money off next visit. The location tried to do right by us and typically we have wonderful experiences there. This was an isolated case but the review asks us about our last visit which was pretty bad.
Cons: Car smelled heavily of marijuana. No other location had a swap out to help us when we called. Then we got a flat tire. Spare tire was also flat. They told us to go to the nearest airport and they would swap it out. Nearest airport said they had nothing. Then 2 hours away the next airport that originally said they had nothing offered us an upgraded car as compensation. Wish they had offered it originally.

Pros: Service at the hertz airport branch was appallingly terrible. Horrible customer service.
