The location was good, but I was disappointed that the hotel shuttle didn't run to the airport on the weekend and the hotel has not been kept up well.

Mark W, May 2021 - Hilton Garden Inn Long Island City New York
Pros (+) Rooms were small (it is New York City, after all) but extremely comfortable and well laid out. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast staff were particularly amazing. This is a great location for access to NYC. It's only a couple of subway stops from most of the city, and being on Long Island it was a fraction of the cost of actually staying there.
Cons (-) Pricey to get to/from the airports, but really that's the only drawback that I saw. The neighborhood is "emerging" but we felt completely safe, and there are some amazing restaurants close by without going into NYC.

Maria, Sep 2018 - Hilton Garden Inn Long Island City New York
Pros (+) Close to major subway stations so getting around was easy
Cons (-) Small rooms. Terrible air conditioning. Not enough elevators. Broken doors. Loud noises at all hours of the night (conjoined rooms and ice machine). Marijuana smell. Staff doesn’t change sheets. Breakfast only available for an additional cost. Outdated decor in the rooms. $40/day to park a vehicle.

Anonymous, Jul 2018 - Hilton Garden Inn Queens/JFK Airport
Pros (+) The staff here were all very kind and quick to introduce themselves and ask if they could help us. They were all very helpful and attentive. Convenient airport shuttle very 30 minutes. Uber eats available.
Cons (-) The location doesn’t provide an easy access walk to anywhere. $19.99/breakfast seemed steep to me, traveling with a family of four with no company to reimburse for the cost... seriously $20.00/person?
